Angel did not make a choice right away.
Her most urgent task was to avoid the Calamity Giant. He was a Sequence 1, clearly out of control, and spreading catastrophe in every direction. Simply getting close to him could make her lose control because of the difference in their levels. Without Sirio to draw him toward someone of the same Pathway, the Sauron family's Conqueror was now wandering as though lost.
He could cover dozens of meters in a single step, and the separated Iron-Blooded Knight characteristic was slowly drawing him toward Angel. But if she kept her distance, he would not catch her immediately.
I can use that time to examine the differences between the two silver mirrors. I could even pray to the Goddess or the Fool for help, or look for another exit... Angel made up her mind. She left Sirio Sauron, now no more than a mass of solidified metal and filthy blood, and took the Tinplate Puppet, the two old-fashioned silver mirrors, and the eye-shaped mirror whose surface had gone dull after exhausting its power. Then she ran in the opposite direction from the Calamity Giant.
Remembering what she had seen in that strange Mirror World, she made no attempt to approach the magnificent city in the distance. Instead, she headed for the edge of the wilderness. Soon she left the road paved with dark gray slabs and ventured into true darkness and solitude.
Unchanging blackness blanketed the area, though a faint light seeped through. With her Dark Vision, Angel could make out objects roughly a hundred meters away. One by one, enormous gray-white pillars appeared in her sight. Each was about three meters wide, anchored to the ground by a slightly broader base, and rose into the sky beyond the reach of even her
