Angel and Klein faced Feysac’s invasion of Loen while investigating the forces behind the widening war and preparing to stop George III’s Black Emperor ritual. The arc ended with Feynapotter joining the conflict and a Seer’s prediction of the apocalypse in 1368 looming over their plans.

• Angel learned that Butis had murdered seven Abrahams and considered Dorian Gray Abraham’s risky offer to hunt him, then received Trissy’s request for Abraham blood to contact Mr. Door.
• Feysac airships bombarded Backlund, and Angel destroyed many of them while Snarner Einhorn escaped with help from Sauron Einhorn Medici.
• Angel accepted the Evernight Goddess’s charge to protect Backlund, contacted Mr. Door through Trissy, and reported the mausoleum symbol and escape ritual to the Goddess, who erased the ritual.
• Angel and Klein investigated George III’s plans as war was declared, while Klein secured Bernadette’s help and Angel began aiding the Student Aid Fund and preparing for the conflict.
• Angel met Alicia Tamara to discuss the Mirror World, then helped Yalixiya Tamara defend Constant from a Feysac fleet that was destroyed before it could land.
• Klein, Angel, Bernadette, and Trissy discussed attacking George III’s mausoleums, and Trissy offered to become the Primordial Demoness’s Divine Descent Vessel.
• Bernadette reported that Feysac’s invasion had been contained and that Roselle’s final mausoleum was in the Fog Sea, but Feynapotter’s invasion of Lenburg made Klein’s prophecy of a widening war seem more likely.

Angel and Klein joined Nast Solomon in finding the Ghost Empire, then entered Dream City and uncovered Amon’s parasitism among its residents. The arc left them facing Nemo as the Worms of Time gathered inside him.

• Angel told Klein about Nast’s search for the Ghost Empire, and they agreed to help Anne advance while preparing to explore it.
• Angel and Klein reached the Ghost Empire with Anne and Nast, but the city separated them and drew them into Dream City.
• Angel and Nast met Consul Goredolf, learned Dream City’s strict laws, and discovered that the city punished even minor violations.
• Angel reunited with Klein, and Georgina revealed that Prince Edessak was alive and that her faction opposed George III’s plan.
• Angel and Klein met Nemo and the other members of the Fellow Townsmen Association, while Angel suspected that Amon had replaced Goredolf.
• Angel’s Mirror Person discovered an Amon Avatar inside Goredolf, and Angel and Klein found Worms of Time inside several club members.
• The Worms of Time emerged from the club members and gathered inside Nemo as Angel’s black flames engulfed Chunas.

Angel and Klein thwarted George III’s attempt to become the Black Emperor, then faced the consequences as Amon seized control of Klein. Angel reached Klein in time to free him, while the story left her considering how to advance quickly enough to help him.

• Angel helped Anne Gustav become Dream City’s consul, and Anne restored the city’s laws while binding Amon’s avatar as her assistant.
• Klein advanced to Scholar of Yore, and he and Angel investigated George III’s plans for the nationwide mourning ceremony.
• Angel warned Anne that George III might use the ceremony to advance, while Klein prepared to turn the king’s ritual into a real attempt at apotheosis.
• As attacks struck mausoleums across the kingdom, Angel, Klein, Bernadette, Trissy, and Anne fought George III’s allies and weakened his ritual.
• Angel’s Mirror Person used Yesterday Once More to recover her memories and turn Medici’s forces to stone, while Trissy’s betrayal and the destruction of the mausoleums broke George III’s ritual.
• George III’s advancement failed, killing him as his mausoleum collapsed, and Klein then confronted Adam before Amon parasitized and controlled him.
• Angel reached Klein’s island, fought Amon, and petrified his avatar, allowing Klein to escape the parasitism and reunite with her.
• Angel learned that George III was dead and that Klein might be in danger again, then considered using the City of Calamity to advance sooner.

Angel advanced to Sequence 2, rescued Klein from Amon, and learned that the Outer Deities threatened the world while corruption spread through Dream City. She established her church and began investigating the danger as war loomed and Klein pursued the Planeswalker path.

• Angel returned to November 12, rescued Klein from Amon, and advanced to Sequence 2 after enduring visions that nearly drove her to lose control.
• Angel learned from her Mirror Person that the apocalypse came from the Outer Deities, and she and Klein prepared for the looming war and further threats from Amon and Zarathus.
• Angel discovered that the Mother Goddess of Depravity had corrupted the Planeswalker and Barren Matriarch characteristics, and she agreed to find the likely victim, Nast Solomon.
• Angel chose a new honorific name, while Klein obtained the Planeswalker formula from Dorian Gray after Angel saved him from his curse.
• Angel established the Witch Church in Dream City, brought Trissy there to atone, and used her powers to rescue a ship from a storm as her potion digested.
• Fors visited Dream City, recognized Angel as the figure worshipped at Saint Angelica Church, and later met Dorian with Angel and Klein.
• Angel found Dream City short of funds and went into the Mirror World to pursue the Death Announcer, while Leonard later learned that its former captain Agalito had been executed.
