Biwa Juzo Must Die!

Yei did not even glance at the man. He shifted his attention to a Chunin beside him.

Against a Chunin now, Yei did not need to spend much time.

His speed increased, and in just a few moves, he killed the Chunin outright.

With the Chunin dead, the dense mist around them gradually dispersed. He had been the one who had cast the Hiding in Mist Technique...

Yei looked toward his companions. Because Kakashi was carrying Biwa Juzo, he was being besieged by Hoshigaki Kisame and another Jonin, and he had fallen into a disadvantage.

Asuma was facing two Mist shinobi with Chunin-level Chakra. He could barely hold them off, but he would not last much longer.

Like them, these people were probably Special Jonin from Kirigakure. While their overall strength had not reached Jonin level, each had exceptional abilities in certain areas.

As for Shisui, the combat power he displayed was formidable. Though he was somewhat wary of Samehada in Suikazan Fuguki's hand, he was still evenly matched with him, so Yei did not need to worry.

"Asuma, I'm coming to help you!" Yei did not hesitate and charged straight toward Asuma.

Against Chunin, Yei's extreme speed and powerful perception were simply overwhelming. In only a few moves, he killed both of them.

"You really saved me, Yei." Asuma let out a breath of relief. He was no longer all that surprised that Yei possessed such strength.

No matter the situation, he had never seen panic or fear in Yei's expression. It was as if, no matter what he faced, he remained calm and composed.

Asuma had also expended a great deal of Chakra. He took out some Soldier Pills and swallowed them.

"You rest first. I'll go help Kakashi." Yei also took Soldier Pills from his ninja tool pouch and swallowed them. After the battle just now, most of the Chakra in his body had been depleted...

After recovering some Chakra with the Soldier Pills, he pushed off the ground and rushed in another direction.

Over there, Kakashi was facing two Jonin alone, one of them the powerful Hoshigaki Kisame. He was struggling against the two of them.

What was more, he was carrying Biwa Juzo, so he could only barely defend himself.

In the end, one moment of carelessness caused him to be hit by one of their ninjutsu. A torrent of water swept him away and slammed him into a large tree. Biwa Juzo slipped from his grasp and was rescued by Kisame.

"Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet Technique!" One of the Mist Jonin pressed his advantage. His hands rapidly formed seals, and water surged behind him, transforming into a roaring water dragon that charged forward.

"Damn it!" Kakashi gritted his teeth and took out Soldier Pills as well. He did not have much Chakra left either.

His body had not been at its peak to begin with, and the burden of one Sharingan left him with even less Chakra than an ordinary Jonin.

On top of that, he had already gone through a fierce battle earlier. His Chakra was now nearly exhausted.

Like Yei, he had a weakness when it came to Chakra.

Although shinobi refined Chakra at all times, the rate of refinement was far slower than the rate at which battle consumed it.

"Lightning Cutter!" After swallowing several Soldier Pills, some Chakra returned to his body. His hands rapidly formed seals, and amid the chirping cry of Chidori, his right hand stabbed toward the incoming water dragon!

With a boom, the water exploded. Kakashi did not slow down. His Sharingan locked onto the enemy as he charged forward at high speed.

Thanks to Yei killing the Chunin who had cast the Hiding in Mist Technique, the fog no longer obscured the battlefield, allowing Kakashi to lock onto his enemy's position.

This strike would kill him!

"A straightforward attack. It may be fast, but do you really think you can hit me?" Mockery flashed across the Jonin's face. During their earlier battle, he had already learned Kakashi's identity.

Kakashi's name was recorded in intelligence files across the major ninja villages. As a Jonin, he naturally would not be behind on such information.

Seeing Kakashi rush at him at extreme speed, he merely sneered. "Water Release: Hiding in Mist Technique!"

As his ninjutsu took effect, thick mist rose around them again, blurring the surroundings.

As shinobi of Kirigakure, they had their own methods of determining an enemy's position within dense fog.

However, just as he intended to use the thick fog to blend into it, he suddenly felt an intense sense of danger for some reason...

Several Ninja Hounds burst from the ground, biting down on his hands and feet and pinning him firmly in place!

"Are you all right?" Yei came to Kakashi's side and asked.

Kakashi shook his head slightly. "I'm fine. I've just used too much Chakra..."

Yei nodded and looked toward Hoshigaki Kisame, who had taken Biwa Juzo away, as well as toward Shisui. "I still have some Chakra left, but not much."

After rushing about continuously and using ninjutsu several times earlier, Yei's Chakra had also been heavily depleted. He was only barely holding on with Soldier Pills.

Although Soldier Pills could restore some Chakra, the amount was limited, and they came with side effects afterward. They could only be used in emergencies.

Of course, Yei was not without a backup plan. His Lightning Release Stimulation Method could stimulate his body cells to regenerate faster and forcibly extract Chakra, but it would damage his body and could even shorten his lifespan...

After all, in Kakashi's eyes, Rin had died because of a conspiracy by Mist shinobi...

He harbored an inexplicable hatred toward the Mist...
