Background / History

The Yin Universe normally exists in opposition to the Yang Universe. Its laws, phenomena, and life forms are described as inverted relative to the Cosmic Sea, making ordinary interaction between the two sides impossible. The Dark Universe is distinct from it: the Dark Universe remains part of the Yang side, while the Yin Universe is its true opposite. 1197

The Cosmic Tide disrupted this separation, causing Yin and Yang to invert and begin merging. The Origin Land became a major intersection point, where a vortex formed the boundary between the two universes and seals were maintained to restrain the Yin Universe's sinister power. 1197 1201

Yin Universe forces began infiltrating the Yang side through possession, converted territory, and expanding passage nodes. By transforming stars and regions of the Cosmic Sea into Yin-aligned territory, they could establish routes for continued troop deployments. 1242 1263 1274

The seal at the Mountain Sea Universe's intersection point later broke, allowing Yin force to expand directly into the Origin Land. Lin Baichuan and several Divine Lords temporarily compressed and sealed the passage, but the broader Yin-Yang fusion remained inevitable. 1275 1276
