Background

Tang San entered Notting Academy at six years old with Blue Silver Grass and Innate Full Soul Power. Yu Xiaogang recognized the contradiction in his aptitude certificate, inferred the possibility of Twin Martial Souls, and accepted Tang San as his disciple after Tang San formally kowtowed three times. Tang San initially became vigilant enough to consider silencing Yu Xiaogang, but was convinced by the latter’s Martial Soul knowledge. 13

He later entered Shrek Academy alongside Xiao Wu. During the entrance test, he demanded a fresh attempt against Zhao Wuji and endured for the length of an incense stick, leaving Zhao Wuji in a poor state. 30 33

Appearance

After awakening his Blue Silver Emperor bloodline, Tang San changed from an ordinary-looking youth into an exceptionally beautiful young man. 149

  • His hair changed from black to blue, resembling Ah Yin’s. 149
  • His skin and facial features changed during the awakening. 149
  • He can manifest Blue Silver Grass in one hand and the Clear Sky Hammer in the other. 182

Personality

Tang San is intensely competitive and unwilling to concede. His first genuine defeat, against Skywater Team, left him dazed and dejected, but Yu Xiaogang’s reminder that Xiao Wu awaited him immediately restored his resolve. 115

He is protective of those he loves, repeatedly placing himself between Xiao Wu and stronger opponents. He faced Poison Douluo despite being injured and accepted Xiao Wu’s separation as necessary so that he could become strong enough to protect her. 85 88

His attachment can turn into destructive rage. After learning that Xiao Wu had sacrificed herself, his Divine Slaughter’s Domain went out of control and he nearly attacked Da Ming and Er Ming until Tang Hao restrained him. 175 Later, threats against his friends and family provoked lasting hatred toward Qian Renxue, Su Mo, and their allies. 239 258

Abilities & Skills

Twin Martial Souls

Tang San possesses Blue Silver Grass and the Clear Sky Hammer. His dual-Martial-Soul talent was publicly exposed during the Soul Master Competition when he revealed the Clear Sky Hammer after his Blue Silver Grass was suppressed. 114

  • Can manifest both Martial Souls simultaneously in combat. 182
  • Initially intended to add Soul Rings to the Clear Sky Hammer after his Blue Silver Grass was countered, but Shrek dissuaded him. 116
  • His Twin Martial Souls made him a major subject of Yu Xiaogang’s research into proper cultivation methods. 114 116

Blue Silver Grass and Blue Silver Emperor

Tang San uses Blue Silver Grass primarily for binding, battlefield control, and protection. The bloodline awakening later transformed his connection to Blue Silver Grass and enabled the Blue Silver Domain. 49 149 174

  • Entanglement — Binds opponents with Blue Silver Grass. 49
  • Blue Silver Golden Silk Array — His Fourth Soul Skill; erupts dozens of golden Blue Silver Grass strands from below to bind enemies. 114
  • Blue Silver Domain — Spreads Blue Silver Grass across a wide area to search for targets. 174
  • Blue Silver Overlord Spear — A powerful spear-like attack used against Su Mo while enraged. 183
  • His Blue Silver Grass is heavily countered by powerful ice and fire techniques. 114 115

Clear Sky Hammer

Tang San’s second Martial Soul is the Clear Sky Hammer, inherited from Tang Hao. It provides his primary destructive power when Blue Silver Grass is ineffective. 57 114

  • Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer — A Clear Sky Sect technique that stacks repeated hammer strikes; Tang San can perform the full Nine-Nine Eighty-One Hammers. 121 149
  • He trained under Tang Hao until he fully integrated the technique into himself, directly leading to his breakthrough to Level 50. 149
  • A failed experiment with Spirit Tool Integration permanently fused his Clear Sky Hammer with a smithing hammer and reduced the Martial Soul’s quality, though it remained barely top-tier. 104
  • Tang Hao later sought a higher-quality hammer that could restore the Martial Soul’s lost quality. 140

Tang Sect Techniques

Tang San’s techniques from his previous life function as self-created soul skills in this world. 29

  • Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track — High-level evasive footwork that allowed him to avoid Su Mo’s spear attacks and survive against stronger opponents. 49 182
  • Mystic Jade Hand — Strengthened his hands enough to break free from Shui Bing’er’s Ice Seal. 114
  • Purple Demon Eyes — A secret technique that contributes to his unusually strong spiritual power. 97
  • Hidden Weapons — Tang San forges and uses concealed weapons, often coated with poison; Su Mo’s caution and Time-Space Power prevented them from landing effectively. 85 185

Spirit Tool Integration

Tang San discovered that prolonged Spirit Tool Integration could establish a connection between a weapon and its user similar to a Martial Soul. 97

  • Could initially only make his smithing hammer tremble in response to his summons. 97
  • Eventually recalled the hammer freely to his hand. 104
  • Requires exceptionally strong spiritual power, which Tang San meets through natural aptitude and Purple Demon Eyes. 97
  • Attempting to return the integrated hammer into his body caused its permanent fusion with the Clear Sky Hammer. 104

Divine Slaughter’s Domain

Tang San acquired Divine Slaughter’s Domain by surviving Hell Road in Slaughter City. 173

  • Amplifies his killing intent and combat presence. 174 175
  • His grief and rage can cause the domain to run out of control. 175
  • Tang Hao considered emotional control essential before Tang San could fully master it. 175

Divine Sense and Godly Power

After ascending, Tang San left strands of Divine Sense on important allies, allowing him to intervene from the God Realm. 239

  • His Divine Sense protected Dai Mubai and Zhu Zhuqing from Qian Renxue, but could only delay her because it lacked his full power and the Sea God Trident. 239 240
  • He wielded the Sea God Trident and Asura Blood Sword in his dual god state. 270 272
  • Even as a deity, he was vulnerable to coordinated attacks from Su Mo, Bibi Dong, and both versions of Qian Renxue. 271 272

Equipment & Crafted Weapons

  • Hidden Weapons — Personally forged weapons used with Tang Sect techniques; some were coated in deadly poison. 85 185
  • Smithing hammer — Used in blacksmithing and Spirit Tool Integration experiments; permanently fused with his Clear Sky Hammer. 97 104
  • Sea God Trident — Divine artifact wielded after his ascension. 268 272
  • Asura Blood Sword — Divine artifact used in his dual god state. 270 272

Relationships

  • Yu Xiaogang — Master and father-like mentor. Yu Xiaogang recognized Tang San’s potential, accepted him as a disciple, and built much of his reputation around Tang San’s success. 13 104 166
  • Tang Hao — Father and later personal cultivation guide. Tang Hao trained him in Clear Sky Sect techniques, helped awaken his Blue Silver Emperor bloodline, and died protecting Tang San’s allies. 57 140 149 270
  • Ah Yin — Mother, a Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast who transformed into human form. Her assistance helped awaken Tang San’s Blue Silver Emperor bloodline. 141 149
  • Xiao Wu — Beloved partner and closest companion. Tang San repeatedly risked himself for her, was devastated by her sacrifice, and later entered dual god state with her. 85 88 175 270
  • Su Mo — Former Shrek teammate, rival, and eventual mortal enemy. Their conflict escalated from academy sparring to repeated life-and-death battles. 49 175 182 273
  • Dai Mubai and Zhu Zhuqing — Shrek comrades whom Tang San protected through Divine Sense after ascending to the God Realm. 63 239
  • Ji Xiang — Tang San’s disciple and the Tang Sect Master. Ji Xiang’s death during the Tang Sect’s destruction drove Tang San to abandon his Law Enforcement God position. 252 254
  • Qian Renxue — A divine-level enemy whose threats against Tang San’s loved ones deepened his hatred and led to repeated confrontations. 239 259 268
