Xian Lin'er serves as the dean of Shrek Academy's Soul Tool Department and is a Super Douluo above Rank 95. As one of the continent's foremost Soul Engineers, she is deeply invested in improving the department's standing against the traditionally favored Martial Soul Department 75 133.

She first takes an interest in Huo Yuhao after seeing the combat potential of his self-designed Mechanical Wings. Qian Duoduo explains that its eight muzzles can fire with the combined force of eight second-tier long-range Soul Tools, while its maneuverability enables precise bursts of movement. Learning that Huo Yuhao independently designed and built it, Xian Lin'er orders Fan Yu to train him without restraint 71.

After observing Huo Yuhao's match and learning more about his character from his friends, she invites him to a meal and asks him to become her disciple. Huo Yuhao accepts, and she gives him a Heavenly Profound Pill to cleanse and refine his body 74 75.

When the Martial Soul Department declines to make Huo Yuhao a Core Disciple, Xian Lin'er overrides normal regulations and personally makes him a Soul Tool Department Core Disciple. She promises him treatment exceeding that offered by the Martial Soul Department 92 93.
