• Black lightning — A is shown charging into close combat while wrapped in black lightning; later, he attacks while shrouded in black Storm Release 940 970.
• Physical strength — He withstands Tang Ping’s attacks well enough to continue their fight, and his body is considered exceptionally durable 224 695.

Taijutsu and coordination

• Double Lariat — A and Killer B attack a target from opposite sides with nearly synchronized timing 224.
• Heavy Stream Burst — A drives his right elbow into an opponent during a charge. Heavy metal bracelets on his hands can add force to his attacks 940.
• Heavenly Transfer Technique — A is identified as the only person in Kumogakure who has mastered it 939.

Relationships

• Killer B — A’s younger brother and partner in the AB Combination. They grew up together and share a bond described as closer than that of real brothers; A also reprimands B for charging into danger without waiting for reinforcements 217 225.
• Tang Ping — A seeks a fight with Tang Ping’s squad, then battles Tang Ping alongside Killer B. He later reacts with fury when Tang Ping kills Dodai 217 224 695.

Story Role / Major Arcs

• Clash with Tang Ping — After Killer B encounters Squad 404, A arrives ready to test himself against them. In their later battle, Tang Ping and Jiraiya separate the AB Combination, leaving Tang Ping to face A individually 217 224.
• Five Kage Summit — As Fourth Raikage, A challenges Jiraiya over Sasuke’s capture of Killer B 917.
• War against Blazing Sun Country — A warns the Allied command that a prolonged fight with Akatsuki could leave its forces vulnerable to Blazing Sun Country 951. During a later battle, Zi Luo and Pakura leave him unable to evade Izumi’s Kusanagi Sword attack; the sword light engulfs him 1014 1015.
