As the clearing operation team quietly withdrew, the district soon returned to its surface calm.

No one noticed that a large-scale arrest targeting Black Mages had taken place in that magic shop during the night.

Meanwhile, in the nearby Magic Prison, the twenty-four Black Mages who had been escorted in were gripped by varying degrees of panic.

The moment they entered the prison, they all felt as if some invisible force had drained the magic power from their bodies, leaving them as weak as ordinary people in an instant.

Terrified and confused, they spoke among themselves in low voices.

Some frowned and wondered whether they had accidentally taken some potion that weakened magic power, while others lost control and shouted:

"Did they poison us? I can feel that my magic power has completely disappeared!"

"Are you idiots?" Dana could no longer stand listening to them. He sneered and walked over.

"Do you know where you are now? This is the Magic Prison, not the breeding ground of your Black Magic Society."

"We are noble mages!" A middle-aged man wearing bone earrings roared.

"What right do you have to arrest us without cause? I'll report this to the Mage Association and accuse you—"

"That's right, we want to see the Association elders! We want to appeal!" another person shouted along with him.

Dana looked at them with disdain, as though he were watching a group of drunken fools babbling nonsense.

Ignoring their cries entirely, he turned to several guards. "Watch them carefully. Don't let them pull any tricks. Wait for Ang to return, then let him interrogate them personally."

"Yes, sir. Rest assured," the guards replied in unison.

Dana nodded in satisfaction, then turned and strode out through the somewhat chilly prison corridor.

At the same time, Ang did not return
