Ross Took Him Seriously

The battle at the edge of Hueco Mundo raged on.

Meanwhile, inside the True King's Palace...

An almost imperceptible ripple passed through space in a secluded corner of one of its corridors.

Kisuke Urahara emerged like a ghost from a narrow Garganta, wrapped in a special cloak that completely concealed his Spiritual Pressure.

The instant his feet touched the floor, the rift behind him closed like a healing wound.

"Well, well... it's bright enough to hurt my eyes."

He lowered the brim of his hat and looked up at the fabricated blue sky and white clouds, clicking his tongue in wonder.

"To keep Hueco Mundo, a realm of eternal night, in perpetual daylight using Spirit Particles... the resources that must take are astronomical."

From the start, he had thought Yhwach and Shunsui Kyoraku's plan was unreliable. They would almost certainly be discovered.

Once that happened, the True King's Palace would send everyone it had to surround them. That would be his chance.

Knowing how meticulous Ross was, Urahara doubted he would leave them alone if he couldn't seal off space.

They could open a passage to the outskirts of Hueco Mundo. The True King's Palace had to know that.

And once they reached Hueco Mundo, they could use a Garganta to travel to Soul Society and contact Zero Division.

Ross probably didn't care, but a man with his mind could not have overlooked it.

That left only one explanation.

Someone was watching them. Whatever they did, Ross learned of it before anyone else.

But they were in the Human World, and their passage to Soul Society had long since been severed.

Yhwach's decision to seek them out had been a complete accident.

Which meant...

The spy was not with Yhwach. It was someone on their side in the Human World.
