Tang Lan sided with Shrek Academy’s preparations for war, gained a Crystal Skull and helped Huo Yuhao join the Tang Sect. On the journey to the old Tang Sect site, Wang Dong regained her identity as Tang Wutong, and Tang Lan took on the task of escorting Vina after her protector died.

• Tang Lan urged Shrek’s leaders to prepare for conflict, then received custom Soul Tools and accepted the Crystal Skull, whose Spirit Gathering Domain nourished the academy.
• Tang Lan witnessed Huo Yuhao defeat He Caitou, who joined the Tang Sect, and later led the group toward the old Tang Sect site.
• Tang Lan helped the Three-Eyed Golden Lion reunite Wang Dong with her other half-soul, and Wang Dong revealed that her restored identity was Tang Wutong.
• Tang Lan and Tang Wutong continued the journey with their companions, meeting Fang Zi and learning about her bounty-hunting work.
• Tang Lan intervened when pursuers attacked Vina and Uncle Hong, while Ma Xiaotao and the others fought the remaining attackers.
• Uncle Hong entrusted Tang Lan with the Imperial Jade Seal and asked him to escort Vina to Shrek Academy before dying from his wounds.

Tang Lan and Tang Ya restored the Tang Sect, drew Cloud Top Abode into its ranks, and led a counterattack against the three factions that had attacked it. The Tang Sect established itself in Luyuan City while preparing for further retaliation and helping Yuan Yan confront the obstacle to his breakthrough.

• Tang Ya led Tang Lan and the others into the restored Old Tang Sect Site, where they cleaned its grounds and welcomed Fang Zi as a member.
• Tang Lan’s group went to Flying Swallow City for supplies, learned Vina was wanted by the Yan Empress, and commissioned Soul Tool components from Chen Tang.
• The Mad Lion Sect, Purple Bamboo Pavilion, and Wind Moon Tower attacked Cloud Top Abode, but Tang Lan’s group fought back and killed White Bone Douluo.
• Red Lotus and Yuan Yan joined the Tang Sect with Cloud Top Abode, and Tang Lan planned a counterattack while Qu Heng agreed to keep the city forces out of it.
• Tang Lan and Cloud Top Abode’s Soul Masters raided the three factions’ branches, defeated their leaders, and took many survivors captive.
• Tang Lan distributed pills, welcomed Luyuan City’s faction leaders, and showed them Soul Guidance Thunder while warning that the Tang Sect could fight its enemies again.
• Tang Lan supervised Yuan Yan’s absorption of the Bewitching Eye External Soul Bone as the Tang Sect continued recruiting independent Soul Masters and teaching its cultivation techniques.

Tang Lan expanded the Tang Sect’s ranks and prepared for the three hostile factions’ attack by striking their strongholds and outposts. The Tang Sect defeated the invading forces, captured their leaders, and Tang Lan began investigating who had supplied them with intelligence about Cloud Top Abode.

• Tang Lan accepted new Soul Masters into the Tang Sect, helped Fang Zi and Yuan Yan break through, and led his forces to destroy the Mad Lion Sect’s mountain fortress and recruit Zhuo Er.
• Tang Lan tested four Soul Douluo applicants, accepted them into the Tang Sect, and strengthened Fang Zi before learning that the three factions planned to attack Tang Sect strongholds.
• Tang Lan deployed more than two hundred experts to ambush the factions, then led Tang Sect forces to clear outposts around Luyuan City as Fang Zi and Yuan Yan defeated enemies in other directions.
• Qu Heng refused the three faction leaders entry to Luyuan City and used Tang Lan’s barrier and Soul Guidance Crossbows to hold off their assault.
• Tang Lan, Fang Zi, and Yuan Yan surrounded the faction leaders, and Tang Lan defeated Chu Xiong while Fang Zi overcame and captured Liu Yan.
• Yuan Yan defeated Hong Zhi, Tang Sect forces subdued the remaining Soul Masters, and the captured leaders and eighteen Soul Douluo were imprisoned.
• Tang Lan met Ye Jin and Chen Gong with Tang Ya and the Tang Sect’s upper echelon, then asked Ye Jin who had given the three factions intelligence about Cloud Top Abode.

Tang Lan brought the Hunter's Alliance and Chen Gong into the Tang Sect, then crossed the sea, helped defeat an Ink Octopus King, and recruited Bauer and Kevin. In the Sun Moon Empire, he secured Qiao Na's cooperation and began testing the academy's new Soul Tool armor.

• Tang Lan made Ye Jin submit the Luyuan City Hunter's Alliance to Tang Sect rules, then welcomed him as an outer sect elder after Ye Jin accepted a cultivation method for the Nine Aperture Exquisite Heart.
• Tang Lan gave Chen Gong a Heart of the Earth to secure his help building a sect-protecting formation, then ordered Yuan Yan and Zhuo Er to attack Purple Bamboo Pavilion and Wind Moon Tower.
• On the voyage to the Sun Moon Empire, Tang Lan traced the ship's strange conflicts to a powerful sea beast and joined Bauer and Kevin in killing the Ink Octopus King.
• Tang Lan divided the Ink Octopus King's spoils and recruited Bauer and Kevin as traveling outer elders of the Tang Sect.
• After reaching Glory Port, Tang Lan secured a place aboard the Liang Zhou Ship and traveled to Holy Flame City, where Qiao Na accepted an instructor position at Shrek Academy and lent him her Eight Directions Compass.
• Tang Lan invited Lin Ni to study at Shrek Academy, gave her a Soul Gathering Pearl, and asked her to gather supplies and a map for his planned voyage into the Sea of Death.
• At Knight Academy, Tang Lan stopped Gao Feng from attacking him, and Director Chang Qing let him into the exhibition hall to test Soul Tools.
• Qiao Na, Lin Zheng, and Xu Yanjiao showed Tang Lan their Super Aggregation Soul Armor, and he tested its boosted strength, defensive shield, flight, and cannon.
