Tang Lan defeated Ghost Shadow Douluo, Star Douluo, Ghost Scythe Douluo, and their allied forces before accompanying Huo Yuhao and Wang Dong on a Soul Beast hunt. Huo Yuhao gained a Ten Thousand Year Soul Ring, and Wang Dong began fighting a Thunder Eagle for her own.

• Ghost Shadow Douluo unleashed his Ninth Soul Skill against Tang Lan, but Tang Lan shattered the attack and pierced his throat with the Overlord Spear despite the surrounding forces.
• Tang Lan survived the combined assault of the Holy Spirit Cult and the Four Great Empires, then killed their Soul Douluo and routed their fighters.
• Time Douluo and Ice Bear Douluo blocked Star Douluo and Ghost Scythe Douluo’s retreat, and Tang Lan defeated and killed both with his Ancient Dragon.
• Tang Lan pursued and killed the fleeing enemies, then reassured Ma Xiaotao, Tang Ya, Jiang Nannan, and the others that they could live peacefully for a while.
• Tang Lan joined Huo Yuhao and Wang Dong in the Star Dou Great Forest and protected them from Soul Beasts as they traveled deeper inside.
• Tang Lan encouraged Huo Yuhao to fight the ten-thousand-year Purple Spirit Jackal, and Huo Yuhao defeated it using his Spirit Eyes and soul skills.
• Huo Yuhao absorbed the Purple Spirit Jackal’s Ten Thousand Year Soul Ring, while Tang Lan and Wang Dong watched until he recovered.
• Wang Dong chose a Thunder Eagle as her target, and she and Huo Yuhao attacked it as she unleashed Wing Guillotine.

Tang Lan led Huo Yuhao and Wang Dong deeper into the Star Dou Great Forest, fighting powerful Soul Beasts and securing Hundred Thousand Year Soul Bones for his companions. The arc left Tang Lan locked in a fierce clash with Bear Monarch, whose 480,000 years of cultivation had not stopped Tang Lan from overpowering him.

• Huo Yuhao and Wang Dong defeated a Thunder Eagle, and Wang Dong began absorbing its Thousand Year Soul Ring before Scarlet King’s pressure interrupted them.
• Tang Lan fought Scarlet King and demanded the Three-Eyed Golden Lion, then pursued the wounded beast after Wang Dong completed her absorption.
• Tang Lan, Huo Yuhao, and Wang Dong pressed deeper into the forest and fought through a Soul Beast army sent by Di Tian.
• Tang Lan killed an Iron Armor Mountain Splitting Rhinoceros and gave its Hundred Thousand Year Soul Bone to Wang Dong.
• Tang Lan defeated the Shadow Poison Python and Gale Winged Tiger during a Beast Tide, giving the Python’s Soul Bone to Huo Yuhao.
• Bear Monarch confronted the group and attacked Tang Lan while Huo Yuhao and Wang Dong waited for a chance to help.
• Tang Lan endured Bear Monarch’s Rampage Ground Shattering Strike and wounded him with the Overlord Spear.
• Tang Lan drove Tyrant’s Wind Devouring Thrust against Bear Monarch’s claws, forcing the beast to sway and fear defeat.

Tang Lan fought Bear Monarch and the Soul Beast Army while Huo Yuhao and Wang Dong supported him. The Golden Eyed Black Dragon King eventually allowed Tang Lan and the students to leave after securing his promise not to kill more Soul Beasts in the forest.

• Tang Lan battled Bear Monarch, summoning the Ancient Dragon Spirit and fusing it with the Overlord Spear to create the Dragon God Overlord Spear.
• Tang Lan wounded Bear Monarch repeatedly, but Bear Monarch drew on the forest’s power, healed, and continued fighting as a Soul Beast Army approached.
• Bear Monarch rejected surrender and made a final attack, but Tang Lan met it with his spear and left him near death.
• Scarlet King led the Soul Beast Army against Tang Lan, while Huo Yuhao and Wang Dong distracted the beasts and helped create openings for him.
• Tang Lan fought off the army, but broke away to protect Huo Yuhao and the others from Ten Thousand Demons King’s roots.
• The Three-Eyed Golden Lion charged Huo Yuhao, whose spiritual attack let her sense his memories and lose her desire to resist.
• The Golden Eyed Black Dragon King confronted Tang Lan, then let him and the students leave to seek soul rings after Tang Lan agreed not to kill more Soul Beasts in the forest.
• The Golden Eyed Black Dragon King explained that fighting Tang Lan would cost the Soul Beasts dearly, while Huo Yuhao exchanged a curious glance with the Three-Eyed Golden Lion as the group departed.

Tang Lan returned to Shrek Academy, defeated several Titled Douluo, and helped Tang Ya recruit new members for the Tang Sect. After a clash with Kunpeng Academy, Yan Shaozhe warned him that the empires were watching Shrek City, and Tang Lan outlined possible ways to respond.

• Tang Lan led the students back from the Star Dou Great Forest, where Wang Dong revealed her hundred-thousand-year Soul Bone and Shrek’s leaders urged her and Huo Yuhao to keep their Soul Bones secret.
• Huo Yuhao chose the Soul Tool Department while Wang Dong and Xiao Xiao chose the Spirit System, and Tang Lan agreed to join Wang Dong’s upcoming team competition.
• Tang Lan lured hostile Titled Douluo away from Shrek City and defeated several attackers, including Ghost Staff Douluo, the Ice Silkworm Douluo, and Blood Eagle Douluo.
• Ding De'er sought refuge at Shrek Academy and offered the Death Soul Cannon method, while Tang Ya invited Tang Lan to join the Tang Sect and he accepted.
