Tang Lan recruits powerful Soul Masters for his faction, then enters Shrek Academy and overwhelms its students and teachers while pursuing Jiang Nannan, Hong Ling, and Tang Ya. The arc ends with Tang Lan defeating Tang Ming on the Duel Stage after the teacher challenged him.

• Tang Lan defeated Frenzy Blade Douluo without using his cultivation, martial soul, or soul skills, recruited the ten Star Luo Soul Masters, and gathered forty recruits to train for Shrek Academy's Strongest Tournament.
• Tang Lan entered Shrek's Outer Courtyard, defeated Wang Dong in their dormitory, and then beat Xu Sanshi on the Duel Stage after wagering that Xu Sanshi would stop pursuing Jiang Nannan.
• Tang Lan challenged the Outer Courtyard students and defeated more than two hundred of them, prompting Zhou Yi to recognize his talent and Tang Ya and Bei Bei to consider befriending him.
• Tang Lan began relationships with Jiang Nannan, Hong Ling, and Tang Ya, while promising Tang Ya that he would improve her strength and talent.
• Tang Lan used an illusion to make five students who had insulted Jiang Nannan challenge him, then beat them and injured several after the illusion ended.
• Tang Ming and two other teachers demanded that Tang Lan apologize, but Tang Lan challenged Tang Ming to fight on the Duel Stage.
• Tang Lan evaded Tang Ming's attacks, shattered his defenses with his hammer, and knocked him and his fiery lion off the stage.

Tang Lan’s strength drew Shrek Academy’s attention, then provoked repeated clashes with its students and teachers that ended with the Sea God Pavilion accepting him as Mu En’s disciple. As rumors and political tensions spread, a large assassination force ambushed Tang Lan and Tang Ya at a hotel.

• After Tang Lan defeated Tang Ming, Yan Shaozhe reported his feats to the Sea God Pavilion, and Mu En confirmed that Tang Lan possessed both the Overlord Spear and Ancient Dragon Spirit and was not an Evil Soul Master.
• Tan Lang and three Soul Emperor allies ambushed Tang Lan and Jiang Nannan, but Luo Jian killed the attackers, while Tang Lan later exposed and killed Holy Spirit Cult agents sent after him.
• Tang Lan admitted his relationships with other women to Jiang Nannan, who accepted Hong Ling, then Tang Lan fought Xu Sanshi, Wu Feng, Yang Tian, Da Nian, and other Shrek personnel when they confronted him.
• Yan Shaozhe brought Tang Lan before the Sea God Pavilion, where Mu En and most of the elders decided not to punish him and Mu En accepted Tang Lan’s demands to become his teacher.
• Tang Lan continued attending classes and went out with Jiang Nannan and Hong Ling, while their confrontation with an angry crowd fueled rumors and tension across Shrek City.
• Tang Ya introduced Tang Lan to Yu'er, but Tang Lan read her thoughts and discovered that she wanted revenge for his defeat of Yang Tian as a large force gathered beneath the hotel.
• Yu'er revealed the trap and tried to escape, but Tang Lan caught and threw her from the sixth floor before taking Tang Ya out through the hotel window to face the attackers.

Tang Lan survived an assassination attempt, exposed a suspected betrayal, and made his relationship with Tang Ya public, provoking Bei Bei. He then defeated Ma Xiaotao and cured her evil fire, leaving her grateful and Tang Lan hopeful about their future.

• Tang Lan saved Shi Xing from Black Shadow Douluo, helped defeat the attackers, and sent the captured Titled Douluo to Sea God Pavilion while concealing his strength.
• Tang Lan recruited Yu’er to mislead Yang Tian and suspected that Yang Tian and others at Shrek Academy had allied with the Four Great Empires or the Holy Spirit Cult.
• Tang Lan entered Shrek Academy with Tang Ya and declared their relationship, then defeated Bei Bei in a fight despite Bei Bei awakening his evolved Blue Lightning Light Tyrant Dragon.
• Tang Ya rejected Bei Bei and refused his offer to help restore the Tang Sect, while Jiang Nannan publicly accepted Tang Ya as Tang Lan’s other partner.
• Tang Lan forgave Yu’er after she reported misleading Yang Tian, and she joined him, Tang Ya, and Jiang Nannan.
• Ma Xiaotao challenged Tang Lan, and he defeated her through a series of attacks with his Overlord Spear while promising to resolve her evil fire problem.
• Tang Lan offered Ma Xiaotao a pill, which caused her intense pain before she recovered and said she felt much better.
• Tang Lan calmed Ma Xiaotao’s remaining evil fire, and she thanked him for ending her torment.

Ma Xiaotao accepted Tang Lan’s feelings, but Tang Lan rejected Shrek Academy’s offer of protection and chose to draw out the enemies targeting him. When three powerful Titled Douluo attacked, Tang Lan confronted them and began overwhelming Ghost Shadow Douluo, leaving the other assassins alarmed.

• Ma Xiaotao accepted Tang Lan’s proposal, and Yan Shaozhe blessed their relationship before offering Tang Lan entry into Sea God Pavilion.
• Tang Lan refused the Pavilion’s protection and declared that he would draw out and defeat the Holy Spirit Cult and the Four Great Empires’ assassins.
• Tang Lan gathered Luo Jian Soul Douluo, Ice Bear Douluo, and Time Douluo as Black Shadow and then Star Douluo and Ghost Scythe Douluo appeared to attack him.
• Ice Bear Douluo fought Ghost Scythe Douluo while Time Douluo faced Star Douluo, and Luo Jian Soul Douluo confronted Ghost Shadow Douluo.
• After Ghost Scythe Douluo wounded Ice Bear Douluo and Star Douluo injured Time Douluo, Tang Lan refused Ma Xiaotao’s plea to retreat and trusted his plan.
• Ghost Shadow Douluo lunged at Tang Lan, but Tang Lan summoned the Overlord Spear and blasted him through trees and boulders.
• Tang Lan pressed his attack with the Overlord Spear and violet flames, broke through Ghost Shadow Douluo’s skills and defenses, and left him nearly defeated as Star Douluo and Ghost Scythe Douluo watched in panic.
