After becoming a Soul Master, she joined a secret organization established by the Federal Government Council, but chose to remain among the poor rather than use the opportunity to leave. She treated impoverished patients long before understanding that their Faith Power was strengthening her Martial Soul 21.

During a plague fifty years before her encounter with Xia Yi, she saved more than ten thousand people who would otherwise have died. She burned through so much Life Force that she approached death; the chapter account describes her as aging fifty years during the treatment. The Faith Power she received nevertheless enabled her advancement to Title Douluo 21 435.

Yun Ming brought her into Shrek Academy. Her later appointment as Sea God Pavilion Master met resistance from elders who regarded her as an outsider, despite personally liking her.
