The academy recruits once every three years. Candidates require quotas issued to cities, organizations, and schools before they may take the admissions examination; thousands or even tens of thousands of talented youths may participate, while admissions can fall below one hundred students 100 115 118. Its stated ideal is that it accepts “monsters,” rather than ordinary people 461.

Shrek Academy’s Outer and Inner Court students together number only around seven to eight hundred, with fewer than a thousand people even when teachers are included. Despite this small student population, its teaching and dormitory districts are surrounded by shops and heavy foot traffic 133.

Star Dou Forest

Ten thousand years earlier, Shrek Academy fought Star Dou Forest over the Emperor Auspicious Beast. Hundreds of thousands of Soul Beasts were killed or wounded, contributing to Star Dou Forest’s decline 65.

Holy Spirit Cult propaganda

The Holy Spirit Cult targeted Shrek’s legacy through obscene posters and animated material involving Sea God Tang San, Spirit Ice Douluo, and the Original Shrek Seven Devils. Shrek Academy convened a Sea God Pavilion meeting to respond, but its plans repeatedly failed because Spirit Pagoda Master Qiangu Dongfeng leaked information to the cult 112.

Sea Soul Beast incident

Shrek Academy suffered heavy casualties during a Sea Soul Beast attack after being accused of slaughtering Demon Soul Great White Sharks and provoking the Soul Beasts. The aftermath brought demands for justice from both Douluo and Star Luo representatives 259 263.

Further crises followed accusations involving the Ocean Voyager, the theft of Eternal Heaven, and the academy’s graduates’ confrontations with federal authorities. The Sun Moon Federation demanded compensation exceeding eight hundred trillion Federal Coins after the Ocean Voyager incident, a sum Shrek Academy could not afford 353 356.

Dissolution and Reconstruction

Long Yeyue publicly declared Shrek Academy and the Tang Sect rebuilt in Ming City, rallying alumni and allies against the Sun Moon Federation 462.

However, Ya Li later formally dissolved Shrek Academy. In a public video, she dismissed its students and ordered that those refusing to leave be handed to the Sun Moon Federation; their Soul Power was sealed before transfer, including Tang Wulin’s 477 478.
