Background

Lin Qi's original fate was to become a tragic villainous supporting character in a cultivation novel centered on her half-sister, Lin Yun. In that future, the Lin family mistreated Lin Yun, Lin Qi participated in bullying her under servants' influence, and the eventual destruction of the Lin family left Lin Qi helpless and vulnerable. 1

After Lin Yun's ascent, Daoist Jinwu captured Lin Qi to vent his hatred for Lin Yun. He discovered Lin Qi's Ancient Ice Phoenix bloodline, force-fed her resources until she reached Golden Core, extracted her Golden Core for his Nine-Revolutions Demonic Core, and burned her alive in an alchemy furnace. 1 27

Lin Qi awakened in her own four-year-old body with knowledge of that future. Refusing to repeat the role assigned to her, she resolved to cultivate, change her destiny, and prevent the fate that led to her death. 1

Her mother, Gong Shaojun, had prepared an inheritance for her before entering seclusion: Ice Phoenix Essence Blood, a Phoenix Feather, and instructions to seek True Monarch Qingyun at Tianyi Sect.
