Background / History
Luo Ci was raised in the Southern Continent Luo Family, one of the continent's five major families. When he first met Lin Qi at Zonglei Peak, he was richly dressed, proud of his background, and dismissive of her origins in Desolate City. Despite his arrogance, he was already diligently practicing with a wooden sword on his own. 4
He became True Monarch Qingyun's third disciple alongside Lin Qi. Their relationship began with Lin Qi thoroughly defeating him in a wooden-sword fight, leading Luo Ci to vow that he would eventually “get payback.” Early cultivation was difficult for him: he grew anxious during Qi Induction, struggled with the sect's austere lifestyle, and felt pressured by Lin Qi and Yuan Xi's diligence. 4 15 16
His relationship with Lin Qi began changing after he used a gold-embroidered silk scarf to save her from the lightning of the Thunder Snake Flowers. From then on, the two began traveling for meals, sparring, training, and bickering as fellow disciples. 17 29
During a visit to Luo City, Luo Ci's impulsiveness caused him to lose a fight and fall into a bandit trap. Reviewing a Memory Stone of his failures—and Lin Qi's victories—helped him recognize his recklessness and begin cultivating with greater discipline. 38 39
The Luo Family later suffered a devastating crisis. A Spirit Transformation cultivator injured Luo Ci's parents after taking his third brother Luo Yi as a disciple; Luo Ci's father died from his injuries, and his mother's cultivation fell from late to middle Nascent Soul. Initially grief-stricken and desperate to avenge his father, Luo Ci gradually understood that revenge would require a far longer cultivation journey than he had imagined. 64 65
Appearance
At his first appearance, Luo Ci is a richly dressed young boy with fair cheeks and an instinctively haughty bearing. 4 20
After three years away, his formerly round face is noticeably thinner, his features more mature, and he has grown considerably taller. 404
- Fair complexion; prone to blushing when embarrassed or placed under attention. 20
- Began as a child who favored luxurious clothing and family-provided comforts. 4 143
- Uses a wooden sword in his early training and later carries a long sword. 4 266
Personality
Luo Ci begins as a spoiled, proud young master who is easily flustered, especially around strangers or when compared to Lin Qi. He is impulsive in battle, sensitive to embarrassment, and prone to tears when overwhelmed; however, he recovers from setbacks remarkably quickly. 20 39 42
His emotions are transparent: he openly sulks when jealous, becomes delighted by praise or gifts, and worries intensely about the people close to him. Lin Qi repeatedly characterizes him as a genuine child at heart, in contrast to the unusually mature disciples around them. 152 256
Over time, Luo Ci becomes more disciplined and responsible. Lin Qi's confinement, Yuan Xi's disappearance, and the Luo Family's decline force him to cultivate without constant supervision. He retains his talkative, occasionally naïve nature, but increasingly takes initiative in studying, gathering intelligence, and helping maintain Zonglei Peak. 190 255 325
Abilities & Skills

Body Tempering and Black Water Swallowing Thunder Art
Luo Ci possesses a naturally strong physique and undergoes lightning-based body tempering. 147 152
- Lin Qi provides him with stored lightning power to temper his body and strengthen his physical resilience while their master is absent. 152

Spiritual–Demonic Dual Cultivation

- A contract with the Demon Race stabilizes his scattered demonic energy and aura. 404
Good Fortune
Luo Ci is repeatedly associated with unusually good luck.
