• Xu Jie and Huo Yuhao escaped the mansion and traveled toward Shrek Academy, where they encountered Tang Ya and Beibei and entered the Star Dou Great Forest.
• Sky Dream Ice Silkworm entered Huo Yuhao, while Xu Jie shielded his own mind from its probing and helped Huo Yuhao acquire allies in Tang Ya and Beibei.

Xu Jie and Huo Yuhao won the freshman assessment, confronted the academy’s unfair treatment, and discovered new powers while pursuing an Evil Soul Master. The arc ended with Xu Jie helping Dugu Lu and reconnecting with Qian Qin and Qian Ran, while keeping Huo Yuhao away from Wang Dong and Wang Qiu.

Xu Jie helped Qian Qin and Qian Ran while Huo Yuhao strengthened his abilities, and the two reunited at Shrek Academy. A Shrek Inspection Group mission ended in deaths and injuries, but the survivors reached Star Luo City, where Shrek advanced to the top sixteen and drew Sun Moon Imperial Soul Engineer Academy.

• Xu Jie restored Qian Qin’s six Angel Wings with his light, then discovered that her family’s shattered Angel Martial Soul was tied to human sacrifice and took Qian Ran as his disciple.
• Huo Yuhao traveled alone to the Extreme North Land, fused with the Ice Empress’s soul bone and bloodline, and returned to Shrek with a red soul ring and the Ice Jade Emperor Scorpion Martial Soul.
• Huo Yuhao passed his Second-Rank Soul Engineer assessment, defeated three students using his skills and revolver-like Soul Tool, and gave Fan Yu its blueprints instead of accepting him as a master.
• Dugu Lu returned to Shrek, and Xu Jie, Huo Yuhao, and Dugu Lu withdrew from the selection tournament while Huo Yuhao helped Beibei’s team secure the seven places.

After Shrek Academy’s defeat, Huo Yuhao joined the exchange program at Sun Moon Imperial Soul Engineer Academy while Xu Jie left Shrek to raise Qian Ran. In the Star Dou Great Forest, Qian Ran awakened his Angel inheritance, and Xu Jie clashed with the girl who claimed the Angel Holy Sword before escaping with him.

• Ma Rulong’s Sword of Judgment corrupted Ma Xiaotao’s flames, and Xuan Zi declared Shrek defeated before Evil Soul Masters abducted her.
• Tang Ya accused Xu Jie of copying the Tang Sect’s mechanisms, but he rejected her demands and explained his design to Huo Yuhao.
• Xu Jie awakened Qian Ran’s Angel Martial Soul with Huo Yuhao’s help, while Qian Qin’s soul survived within the Angel Mark.
• Mu En named Xuan Zi his successor, empowered Shrek’s chosen students, and warned the Star Dou Great Forest before a mysterious lord awakened.
