Huo Yuhao continued competing in the Soul Engineer Competition as the Body Sect and Shrek reached the semifinals, while Xu Jie spotted the woman who had taken the Angel Holy Sword.

• Xu Jie defeated the Holy Spirit Sect’s opponents, then revealed himself during the match against Shrek and helped kill Dai Huabin despite Shrek’s surrender.
• After the tournament, Xu Tianran disqualified the Holy Spirit Sect and imprisoned Xu Jie, but Xu Jie escaped with a gray token and was assigned to watch the Soul Engineer Competition.
• Dai Hao crossed the border with two hundred guards demanding his son’s killer, while Du Busi’s search of the Clear Sky Sect failed to find its leaders or Xiao Yun'er.

Huo Yuhao and Xu Jie raided the Sun Moon Empire’s armory before the Clear Sky Sect drew Huo Yuhao and his companions into a trial that shattered his soul. Xu Jie rescued him and began seeking the powers needed to repair him, while the Soul Beast conflict and the empire’s turmoil continued.

• Huo Yuhao won the Soul Engineer tournament and claimed the Sun Moon Divine Needle, while Xu Jie took Ye Guyi through the Gate of the Undead.
• Huo Yuhao and Xu Jie helped Shrek raid the imperial armory, then Xu Jie transferred its Soul Tools and metals into the Undead Demigod Plane.
• Niu Tian and Titan disrupted the finals, and a golden-silver radiance carried Huo Yuhao and the Shrek group into the Valley of Asking for Love.
• The valley tested the companions’ feelings, while Huo Yuhao resisted its trials and Tang San’s ritual repeatedly shattered and restored his soul.

Xu Jie and his allies used the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well to restore Huo Yuhao and forge new soul contracts, while Xu Jie pursued ways to repair Ji Juechen’s martial soul and help Dugu Lu. Huo Yuhao awakened as Tang Hao and Ah Yin’s plans for Xiao Yun’er continued, and Xu Jie began a weapon experiment with Ji Juechen’s broken sword.

• Xu Jie and Du Busi took Huo Yuhao to the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, where Xu Jie helped Snow Empress and Octagonal Mysterious Ice Grass form soul contracts with Huo Yuhao as he absorbed the well’s power.
• Xu Jie purified the Fire Dragon King’s resentful soul, absorbed its Dragon King Bone and the dangerous half Snow Core, and began recovering from the transformation.
• Xu Jie returned to Iron Arm Village, planted Jade Phosphor Nine Absolute Flowers, and arranged for Ji Juechen to teach Er Niu swordsmanship while Xu Jie investigated the damage to Ji Juechen’s martial soul.

As Huo Yuhao returned to the Body Sect and Xu Jie traveled with Dugu Lu toward Shandou City, their group split up and Xu Jie encountered a boy seeking a place with the Dugu Family.

• Xu Jie and Huo Yuhao restored Ji Juechen’s Broken Sword, and Ji Juechen broke through to Rank 71 and survived a heavenly tribulation that left his martial soul apparently healed.
• Xu Jie and Huo Yuhao brought the Soul Contract System to the Star Dou Great Forest, where Di Tian agreed to cooperate and they began organizing the Soul Beast Alliance.
• Qian Ran completed the Angel God’s trial with Ye Guyi’s help, while the group formed Soul Contracts that gave several young soul masters new rings and abilities.
• The Sun Moon Empire used Class 9 Soul Guidance Missiles to break through Star Luo’s defenses, prompting Xu Jie and Huo Yuhao to make plans for the Body Sect and their companions.
• Du Busi refused to abandon the Body Sect, while Huo Yuhao chose to stay with it and Xu Jie prepared to leave with Dugu Lu.
