Background / History

Medusa ruled the Snake-People Race as its queen. She was fiercely protective of her people and initially pursued the Green Lotus Core Flame, intending to use it for evolution. During this period, she also opposed Hai Bodong's involvement with the amnesiac Die, fearing the dangers human contact could pose to Snake-People women. 14 15 69

Ao Qing overwhelmed and severely injured Medusa in the underground magma region. Believing refusal would bring calamity upon her race, she agreed to serve him in exchange for the Snake-People Race's safety; Ao Qing had only intended for her to care for the Little Fox. 16

Ao Qing later gave her the essence blood of a Dou Saint-level pure-blooded royal Nine Netherworld Earth Python. Refining it allowed Medusa to evolve into a Seven-Colored Sky Swallowing Python and advance beyond Dou Huang. 21 24 25

After years away from her people, Medusa returned to find the Snake-People Race's living conditions and palace greatly improved through Ao Qing's support.
