Background / History

Shisui’s parents died after his birth, leaving him to be raised alongside his older brother, Uchiha Kagami, and their grandmother. Kagami regarded him as family he was obligated to protect and deliberately intended to let Shisui form his own judgments after establishing his basic values. 5 92

As a child, Shisui openly supported Itachi and was characterized as pure and straightforward. Kagami later personally trained him in taijutsu, stressing decisive combat and identifying stamina and resolve as areas needing improvement. 39 86

While still attending the Ninja Academy, Shisui defeated every challenger from the first through sixth grades and held the Student Council presidency for seven consecutive terms. Though his strength had reached the Jonin level, Kagami considered his lack of life-or-death combat experience a serious weakness. 113

Kagami made Shisui’s growth a central purpose of the Shinobi World Martial Performance, intending to push him into the emotional and physical conditions needed to awaken a Mangekyo Sharingan.
