Background / History

Qian Daoliu belongs to the Angel God's bloodline and has several hundred years of experience. As the leader of the Elder Hall, he retains authority over Spirit Hall's Worships even after its everyday administration passes to Bibi Dong 99 170 184.

He knows about his son Qian Xunji's abuse of Bibi Dong but chooses to turn a blind eye because Qian Xunji is his son. His priorities change when the newborn Qian Renxue causes the Angel Statue to tremble and shine: he recognizes her potential to inherit the Angel Godhood and places the Qian Family's future in her hands 43.

After Qian Xunji is crippled, Qian Daoliu takes Qian Renxue away to raise her. She later remembers him as the only family member who cared for her during childhood 61 114.

His protectiveness also reflects his belief that she is the family's best hope of restoring its divine glory 136.

His restraint toward Bibi Dong combines guilt, affection for her daughter, and calculation.
