Background and History
Founding
The sect was established by an ancestor later known as the Asura Emperor. Originally a cultivator of poor talent, he rose through repeated life-or-death battles, becoming a once-in-ten-thousand-years Battle Genius and fighting more than ten thousand battles before founding the sect. His experience shaped the sect's unmatched reverence for combat. 7 566 417
The founding ancestor also created the Demon Luo Scripture, a divine art through which successive cultivators have become exceptionally powerful Sect Masters. It is recognized alongside the Great Qin Empire's Imperial World Shocking Merit and Kunlun Mountain's Imperial Edict Heavenly Book as one of Great Qin's three great divine skills. 417
Rise and Decline
The Asura Sect was among the major forces that helped the Great Qin Empire unify the Six Nations. Its disciples earned extensive military merit, and many Great Qin generals retained close ties to the sect. 572 589
Despite Luo Ba's overwhelming individual strength, the sect later declined in overall influence. Its approximately one hundred and eight Void Realm elders placed it at the lower end of the Nine Great Sects by collective strength. The Ying Clan imperial family secretly suppressed the sect because it feared both the combat ability of its disciples and its influence within the military. 384 409 664
This suppression eventually helped drive the sect into open conflict with the Great Qin Imperial Family. By the later war, the Asura Sect led a rebel alliance and fielded both its own cultivators and Asura forces serving under Xuan Luo Great Emperor. 664 865
Doctrine and the Asura Path
The Asura Sect holds that battle is the proper means to resolve conflict. Martial force is revered, surrendering without a fight is disgraceful, and disciples who break through during combat are especially valued as Battle Geniuses. 3 7 21
Its creed extends beyond death: disciples with sufficiently strong fighting spirits may be reborn as Asuras and continue fighting in the Asura Path. 3 112 420
The founding ancestor forcibly severed a portion of the true Asura Path and sealed it within a minor world. This contained realm includes powerful Asuras, the will of the Asura Path, and the means for battle-driven disciples to be reborn after death. 420
- Gate of Rakshasa — A bronze gateway connecting to the sect's sealed portion of the Asura Path. Luo Ba entrusted it to Zhuge Xiang, along with responsibility for suppressing the realm. 420
- Asura Purgatory Diagram — A trial realm created by sealing eight thousand li of terrain extracted from the Asura Path into a painting. Inner disciple candidates must survive within it and gather one hundred mid-grade Spirit Stones. 98
- Asura transformation — Disciples acknowledged by the Asura Path can begin changing their bloodline into that of an Asura; Zhang Kuang's transformation was recognized as an ideal fit for the sect's philosophy. 112

Headquarters and Holdings
The headquarters occupies the Endless Mountain Range. The lower Hundred Great Mountains contain official disciples' residences and major facilities, while the One Hundred Eight Floating Mountains serve as the domains of the sect's Void Realm elders. 42
- Supreme Peak — Seat of the Sect Master and the hub of the sect's protective formation; it seals seven Spirit Veins that supply its energy. 409
- Asura Slash — The first Sect Master's hundred-foot renowned weapon, a supreme forbidden artifact surpassing Spiritual Treasures. It has remained at Supreme Peak since his ascension because no later cultivator has wielded it. 409
- Hidden Technique Forest — A Floating Mountain covered by millions of stone spires engraved with cultivation methods and secret manuals; it is overseen by the Second Elder. 565
- Asura Tower — A sect-owned commercial building in Ink Martial City's commercial district. It trades equipment, pills, and magic tools, and permits only Asura Sect disciples to open stalls. 182
- Aurora Asura Tower — A long-range rescue signal visible across hundreds of li; disciples are ordered to gather beneath it for extraction. 36
Military Assets
Asura Warships
Asura Warships transport disciples and serve as major flying siege weapons. A squad leader may command one, though private use requires personal Spirit Stone expenditure and carries severe compensation costs for damage. 24 225
| Armament / capability | Details |
|---|---|
| Capacity | Can transport approximately one thousand disciples. 225 |
| Cannons | Eighteen secondary cannons on each side and one main cannon. 225 |
| Rapid deployment | More than one hundred warships can be mobilized quickly for warfare, powered by substantial Spirit Stone consumption. 127 |
| Battlefield strength | One hundred warships carried roughly fifty thousand inner disciples to the Ancient Qin Battlefield. 225 |
Yanling Commandery Campaigns
The Asura Sect is the largest power in Yanling Commandery and occupies the greatest share of its resources. It was appointed by the Great Qin royal family to govern the commandery and suppress rebellious sects. 120 126
When conflict over a Spirit Stone mine escalated, the sect mobilized its three inner halls for a purge against medium and small sects led by Weituo Temple, Qingxu Sword Sect, and Tiandao Sect. 126
The campaign grew into a large-scale war at the Ancient Qin Battlefield. The sect deployed around fifty thousand inner disciples aboard one hundred Asura Warships, then launched a surprise full-scale offensive against the opposing alliance. 225 252
The Asura Sect ultimately won the war, routing the alliance and gaining a larger share of Yanling Commandery's resources. The victory was costly: only about four hundred of Squad Twenty-Nine's nearly one thousand members survived, and roughly thirty of more than one hundred warships remained. 261
