Background / History
Ying Qianshan was first identified as the twin brother of Great Qin's founding emperor, Qin Shi Huang Ying Zheng. According to the account Zhuge Xiang learned, he betrayed Ying Zheng after the unification of the Six Nations and usurped the Imperial Throne. Records later found by Ying Wushuang state that he supposedly died violently and that Ying Zheng held a funeral for him. 596 706
His true identity is deliberately obscured. He later presented himself to the Great Qin Emperor as Ying Zheng, using the founding emperor's name, appearance, and Imperial World Shocking Merit to gain the emperor's trust. He concealed the name Ying Qianshan because declaring it could attract the Heavenly Dao's notice. 735 736
Further complicating matters, the Black Water Profound Dragon encountered an Immortal Realm Ying Qianshan who had allegedly ascended before Great Qin unified the Six Nations and served under Erlang the Emperor. Zhuge Xiang judged this Immortal Realm figure to have exactly the same aura and Spiritual Sense fluctuations as the cultivator-world Ying Qianshan, yet believed them to be different people. 808 809
Ying Qianshan's unstable state was also exposed when Meng Yi overheard two distinct voices speaking through him: one aged and one weak but overwhelmingly domineering. 696
Appearance
Ying Qianshan usually conceals himself beneath a large black robe, leaving his features indistinct. 596 735
- Beneath his hood, he appears as a white-haired elder with cloudy, earthy-yellow eyes and a frail, decayed-looking body. 735
- He wears pale silver Half-Immortal Artifact inner armor beneath his robe. 707 708
- While inside the Dragon Tomb, his hands became smooth and youthful despite retaining an aged voice, suggesting he used a method to alter his age. 707
- His Golden God manifestation is formed from the Twelve Golden Figures and stands approximately a thousand zhang tall. 708
Personality
Ying Qianshan is calculating, patient, and intensely secretive. He hid his identity for millennia, manipulated the Great Qin Emperor through the persona of Ying Zheng, and used the threat against Ying Wushuang to draw her out of the Dragon Tomb. 696 707 735
He displays extreme pragmatism in pursuit of power and legitimacy. He sought the extinction of Ying Zheng's bloodline so that his own lineage could inherit Great Qin without being branded usurpers, and he threw Ying Wushuang into Zhuge Xiang's attack path to secure his own escape. 696 728
His confidence is rooted in overwhelming strength. He repeatedly dismisses opposition as futile, yet retreats when weakened or confronted by a force he cannot defeat outright. 707 727 729
