Background / History

Tang San was originally a Tang Sect outer disciple from another martial-arts world. He secretly learned the inner sect's Mysterious Heaven Treasure Record, including the Mysterious Heaven Skill, hidden-weapon methods, Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track, and Mysterious Jade Hand. After his death, his soul entered the body of Tang Hao and Ah Yin's son; Tang San regards this event as rebirth rather than possession. 18 255

His new body possessed Innate Full Soul Power and eventually manifested Twin Martial Souls: Blue Silver Grass carrying the dormant Blue Silver Emperor bloodline and the Clear Sky Hammer. Tang Hao reportedly noticed Tang San's unusually precocious behavior and private cultivation from an early age, but continued to protect him. 17 23 280

Tang San became Yu Xiaogang's disciple and entered the Soul Hunting Forest with him. There he absorbed a 400-year Mandala Snake ring, gaining a poison-infused entanglement skill, and defended Yu Xiaogang from Gale Wolves. 59 62

When Xiao Wu was taken by the Titan Giant Ape, Tang San pursued it, killed a Man-Faced Demon Spider, and prioritized absorbing its soul ring. The absorption granted him the Eight Spider Lances External Soul Bone. 54 139

The Clear Sky Sect's Second Elder later confronted Tang San over his Tang Sect identity and techniques. During the conflict, the Elder extracted the Eight Spider Lances and used Tang San as leverage against Tang Hao. Tang San survived the detachment, disproving his belief that removal of a Soul Bone was necessarily fatal. 253 254 255

Tang San and Tang Hao later met Ah Yin and attempted to awaken Tang San's Blue Silver Emperor bloodline. Although the Blue Silver Grass briefly transformed with blue-gold patterns inside Ah Yin's Blue Silver Domain, Ah Yin ultimately extracted the bloodline to preserve it for a successor. Tang San lost his Blue Silver Grass Martial Soul, suffered severe foundational damage, and chose to rebuild his strength through the City of Slaughter rather than enter the Soul Master Competition. 300 301 303

Appearance

After losing the Blue Silver Emperor bloodline, Tang San's appearance became more similar to Tang Hao's. 303

  • Originally possessed Blue Silver Grass in his right hand and the Clear Sky Hammer in his left. 280
  • After the Blue Silver bloodline was removed, the Clear Sky Hammer manifested from his right hand instead. 303
  • His Blue Silver Grass temporarily developed blue-gold patterns during its partial bloodline awakening. 300
  • Previously bore the Eight Spider Lances External Soul Bone. 54 254

Personality

Tang San is driven by cultivation, combat advantage, and the preservation of his own future. His decision to absorb the Man-Faced Demon Spider's ring while Xiao Wu's fate remained uncertain led observers to question whether his stated concern for her outweighed his desire for a powerful Soul Ring. 54 139

He is resourceful and composed under pressure, relying on techniques and hidden weapons from his previous life. However, the prospect that Tang Sect elders might have followed him into this world visibly frightened him, and he placed his safety above ongoing business negotiations. 245 246

After losing both his Blue Silver Emperor bloodline and Blue Silver Grass Martial Soul, Tang San remained unusually calm rather than collapsing in despair. He resolved to enter the City of Slaughter and rebuild his strength. 303

Abilities & Skills

Twin Martial Souls

Tang San originally possessed Blue Silver Grass with Blue Silver Emperor bloodline and the Clear Sky Hammer.

  • The two Martial Souls were regarded as compatible enough to meet the conditions for Twin Martial Souls. 17
  • His Blue Silver Grass was not ordinary; its emperor bloodline remained dormant until later activation. 17 280
  • Ah Yin's extraction of the Blue Silver Emperor bloodline destroyed the Blue Silver Grass Martial Soul, leaving Tang San with only the Clear Sky Hammer. 301 303

Blue Silver (Mother) Entanglement

His Mandala Snake-derived soul skill manifests Blue Silver Grass imbued with paralytic poison.

  • Obtained from a 400-year Mandala Snake. 62
  • Uses vines and leaves to bind targets. 62
  • Inherited the Mandala Snake's paralytic poison. 62

Tang Sect Secret Techniques

Tang San brought advanced martial arts and hidden-weapon knowledge from his former life.

  • Mysterious Heaven Skill — internal cultivation method; later discussion states that cultivation before Martial Soul awakening can raise Innate Soul Power. 18 129
  • Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track — evasive movement technique used against the Clear Sky Sect's Second Elder. 18 254
  • Mysterious Jade Hand — reinforced hand technique used in attempts to block hidden-weapon bolts. 18 246
  • Hidden-weapon craftsmanship — knows both manual and mechanism-based weapons; the Wrath of the Buddha Tang Lotus reportedly required about ten years to create. 18

Hidden Weapons

Tang San employs Tang Sect hidden weapons and weapon-handling methods in battle.

  • Used hidden weapons and Tang Sect techniques to kill the Mandala Snake. 62
  • Faced Dai Yichen's Silent Sleeve Arrow, Hidden Sand Shot, Zhuge Divine Crossbow, and other enhanced weapons. 246
  • Was unable to fully neutralize Dai Yichen's Soul Power-enhanced projectiles and sustained minor injuries. 246
  • Guanyin's Tear, a skill-based hidden weapon, injured Qian Renxue. 135

Eight Spider Lances

An External Soul Bone acquired from a Man-Faced Demon Spider.

  • Provided eight spider-like lances for combat. 54
  • Tang San used them against Xiao Wu but lost when her Invincible Golden Body allowed her to break one lance. 217
  • Ye Lingling's Netherworld Revival restored the broken lances after the match. 217
  • The Second Elder later extracted the Soul Bone; Tang San survived, while the Elder was transferred away with it. 254 255
  • The lances were said to retain the Man-Faced Demon Spider's resentment and did not truly belong to Tang San until their eventual purification into Sea God Eight Wings. 295

Slaughter God's Domain

A domain associated with the City of Slaughter.

  • Tang San was intended to enter the City of Slaughter to obtain it. 256
  • He won ten consecutive matches there through his abilities, strategies, and weapons. 309
  • In a future account, he obtained the domain and destroyed the City of Slaughter, declaring it too evil to exist. 102

Relationships

  • Tang Hao — Father and protector. He recognized Tang San's rebirth, defended him from the Second Elder, and brought him to the Clear Sky Sect for recovery. 255 280
  • Ah Yin — Mother and source of his Blue Silver Emperor bloodline. She later extracted that bloodline from Tang San, causing the loss of his Blue Silver Grass Martial Soul. 248 301
  • Yu Xiaogang — Teacher and master. Tang San became his disciple and accompanied him during the Mandala Snake hunt. 59 62
  • Xiao Wu — Companion whose abduction drove Tang San's pursuit of the Titan Giant Ape; she later defeated him in combat. 54 217
  • Tang Xiao — Clear Sky Sect leader and Tang Hao's elder brother. He inspected Tang San's Twin Martial Souls and discussed his future within the sect. 280 308
  • Clear Sky Sect Second Elder — Antagonistic sect elder who recognized the connection between Tang San's name, techniques, and Tang Sect origins; extracted the Eight Spider Lances. 253 254
  • Dai Yichen — Rival who publicly pressured Tang San with purported Tang Sect blueprints and defeated his attempts to counter Soul Power-enhanced hidden weapons. 245 246
  • Qian Renxue — Opponent injured by Tang San's Guanyin's Tear. 135
  • Asura God and Sea God — Divine observers who reconsidered Tang San as a successor after his loss of the Blue Silver Grass Martial Soul and second Martial Soul status. 309
