When the three bald men woke up, they found themselves lying in a strange, enormous room. The walls, floor, and ceiling glowed with a silvery-white halo, as though they were made of some kind of alloy. There was no furniture in the room, only several instruments of unknown purpose in the corners. Red crystal-like objects were embedded in the walls, with numerous red tubes extending from around them like blood vessels. Within those tubes, an eerie light pulsed as if it were alive.

"Boss, where are we?" Lao Dao sat up and found that he did not seem to be injured. He looked around, utterly baffled by his current situation.

"Fuck if I know." The bald man spat hard, then laboriously propped himself up and stretched his somewhat stiff limbs. "Why does this place look so much like something out of a movie..."

"Did some crazy research organization capture us?" the thin-faced man previously called the hedgehog asked uneasily.

"Get lost, look at you panicking!" The bald brute slapped Hedgehog aside. Yet despite his words, he was no less nervous than his two subordinates. That slap was less a reprimand for a cowardly underling than an attempt to bolster his own courage.

Just then, a faint sliding sound came from nearby. They watched as the seamless wall suddenly split open and slid apart to either side, revealing an entrance two meters wide.

Amid a dense clatter of metal, two squads of soldiers clad in full alloy armor and carrying huge gun-like weapons swiftly entered the spacious room and formed two neat rows. The alloy armor and strange weapons on those soldiers immediately reminded the three men of futuristic warriors from science fiction films.

While they were still reeling in uncertainty, another set of footsteps sounded, and three people walked in
