Sandora's terrifying appearance and Abyssal power produced an enormous effect the moment she appeared. The three burly men before us, who had looked so vicious just moments ago, had collectively collapsed to the ground, and waves of foul stench wafted up from beneath them.
How should I put it? Sandora's appearance really did have a pants-wetting effect...
Seeing that the three men in front of us were nearly scared out of their minds, I tugged at the hem of Sandora's skirt as she floated in midair and said, "Calm down. Human minds are very fragile."
Sandora seemed to notice that the three little toys before her had nearly been frightened to death. She nodded and slowly descended to the ground, though she did not fully withdraw her Abyssal Form. Her body had returned to normal, but black flames still swirled around the right side of her body.
Sandora gave a cold snort, turned her head away, and said impatiently, "If research into human neural systems had been completed, I would have simply read their memories!"
I turned to the bald man, who had just regained a little strength, and said, "Then let's start with your names. What are they?"
At this point, the bald man had completely concluded that the three people before him were some suspicious nonhuman race that had infiltrated humanity. As a human, he knew he should grit his teeth and refuse to let these nonhumans have their way even in death. But the other side's overwhelming power had crushed his meager sense of human justice within a second. Besides, that female demon had mentioned memories—meaning that even if he said nothing, they had ways to learn his secrets. Since resistance was impossible no matter what, he might as well speak up and spare himself some suffering.
