Background / History

Law and the Heart Pirates secretly followed Wes after Wes refined a group of pirates into Philosopher's Stones. Law confronted him using the powers of his Ope Ope Fruit, creating a hemispherical space and attacking with his sword, but Wes blocked the strike with a Magic Power shield. Faced with the overwhelming difference in strength, Law remained tense and cautious. 275

After a second unsuccessful attack, Law accepted Wes's invitation to board his spaceship. Though shaken by the failure of his abilities, he quickly recovered his composure; his crew remained at his side throughout the encounter. 276

Wes's offer to destroy the Donquixote Family reignited Law's revenge against Doflamingo.
