Background / History

Saintess and Relationship with Yu Xiaogang

As Spirit Hall's Saintess, Bibi Dong met Yu Xiaogang through the organization's library. He initially approached her to obtain access to its secret collection, but she fell in love with him and helped him read restricted materials. She also encouraged the theories he developed from those books 111.

Bibi Dong was willing to abandon her position and elope with Yu Xiaogang. Her teacher, Qian Xunji, subjected her to an experience in a secret chamber that became the source of her enduring hatred toward him. She later drove Yu Xiaogang out of Spirit City with hurtful words, believing this was necessary to protect him 111 309 355.

Qian Daoliu subsequently allowed her to become Pope, partly out of guilt over his son's actions. His stated hope was that the responsibilities of the office would give her a new direction in life 115 309.

Gu Han's Martial Soul Evolution

Bibi Dong summoned Gu Han after learning that he had awakened Luo Sanpao, the same Martial Soul as Yu Xiaogang. Its appearance immediately stirred memories of her former lover. She accepted Gu Han as a disciple and became interested in his proposal to evolve his Martial Soul through suitable food 2 6.

She supplied Light Attribute dragon flesh, Spirit Medicines, and a storage ring, hoping that Gu Han's discoveries could eventually evolve Yu Xiaogang's Luo Sanpao into a Golden Sacred Dragon. She accompanied Gu Han on soul-ring hunts and arranged tests of his strength after his Martial Soul evolved 9 29 38 40 41.

Once the evolution succeeded, she stopped supplying dragon flesh and medicines, claiming that she wished to avoid criticism. The resources were instead being reserved for Yu Xiaogang. Gu Han also reported that she restricted news of his achievements from leaving Spirit City. Despite this change, she still arranged assistance for his fourth soul-ring hunt 44 49 55 106.

Revenge Through Spirit Hall

Outwardly, Bibi Dong appeared to be a capable, hardworking Pope who strengthened Spirit Hall. Privately, she wanted revenge against the organization and the Qian family 74 95.

Her plan was not to destroy them personally, since she believed the Angel God would intervene. Instead, she intended to make Spirit Hall the enemy of the entire continent, where other divine inheritances could oppose it. She discussed the Angel God's activity with the Rakshasa God's remnant soul residing in her mind 95.

Yu Xiaogang's Return

After obtaining the Crimson Jade Dragon Blood Ganoderma, Bibi Dong secretly traveled to Nuoding City under the pretext of entering seclusion. She apologized to Yu Xiaogang and offered him a proven method of Martial Soul evolution. To overcome his hesitation about leaving Tang San, she invited both teacher and disciple to Spirit City and promised cultivation resources 110 111 112.

Their arrival intensified her conflict with Douluo Hall. She devoted resources to Yu Xiaogang's evolution, while Tang San received more than half of the resources previously allocated to Hu Liena, Xie Yue, and Yan. The attempt to reproduce Gu Han's feeding method failed because of Luo Sanpao's attribute conflict 114 115 118 137.

Bibi Dong also sought the Great Sumeru Hammer's Ring Detonation technique. She planned to use Tang Hao's son as leverage to force Tang Hao to surrender it 121.

Interrogations and the Seven Absolutes Flower

When Xie Yue and Yan reached Level 50 unusually quickly, Bibi Dong connected their advancement—and the Worship Hall's recent breakthroughs—to Gu Han. She imprisoned them separately and threatened Hu Liena against seeking help. Xie Yue refused to reveal anything; Bibi Dong tortured Yan and then hypnotized him to uncover Gu Han's Immortal Herbs and pills 145 153 154.

She then invoked her position as Gu Han's teacher to demand his herbs. He refused to surrender everything, but gave her the Seven Absolutes Flower and warned against passing it to someone else. She nevertheless gave it to Yu Xiaogang 155 156 309.

The herb transformed Luo Sanpao into a Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon, but Yu Xiaogang's first soul skill remained his original explosive attack and injured him when tested. Bibi Dong blamed Gu Han and resolved to avenge Yu Xiaogang 160 161.

Attempts to Kill Gu Han

Bibi Dong designed an indirect assassination outside Spirit City to evade Qian Daoliu's protection. She sent the Holy Light Angel Enforcement Team into danger, arranged for Mendic Chris to attempt a rescue, and intended to lure Gu Han into saving his former teacher. Her agents were to cooperate with a Soul Douluo-level Evil Soul Master faction to kill him 163 167.

She underestimated Gu Han's cultivation, believing he could be no stronger than a Soul Emperor when he had already reached Soul Saint. She also intended to attribute his Martial Soul Evolution Method to Yu Xiaogang after his death 163.

Surviving enforcement-team members returned with evidence of her betrayal. Qian Daoliu delayed removing her because her public reputation and supporters made an abrupt deposition risky. Instead, he began exposing her abuses and forced her to expel Yu Xiaogang and Tang San from Spirit City 172 173 174.

When Gu Han later returned, Bibi Dong again gathered her strongest subordinates and ordered his assassination during his journey to Gengxin City. She viewed him as both a personal enemy and the likely replacement Qian Daoliu intended to install as Pope 271 273 274.

Defeat and Deposition

After Yu Xiaogang disappeared, Bibi Dong confronted Gu Han publicly at the Heaven Dou teams' reception hotel. Gu Han admitted holding him, and she attacked with her Martial Soul Avatar and Eternal Scar. Alongside her anger, she calculated that killing Gu Han would deprive Qian Daoliu of his intended successor 307.

Gu Han annihilated Eternal Scar with Void Dark Domain, immobilized her, and knocked her out of her Martial Soul Avatar. He then publicly humiliated her. Qian Daoliu arrived, condemned her conduct, and announced Gu Han as the new Pope 308 309.

Testimony from the archpriests and Holy Light Angel Enforcement Team confirmed her misconduct. Bibi Dong left office without admitting her crimes and planned to avenge herself after becoming a god 310.

Self-Crippling and Slaughter City

Disguised in a black robe, Qian Renxue led Bibi Dong to the prison holding Yu Xiaogang. Their confrontation exposed their longstanding mother–daughter hostility. Qian Renxue intended to cripple Bibi Dong to prevent her from becoming a divine threat; Bibi Dong chose to do it herself 311 312.

Bibi Dong first used Undying Body to survive a fatal self-inflicted injury and remove her soul bones. After abolishing her cultivation, she took Yu Xiaogang away and presented the sacrifice as proof of her love. She and Liu Erlong continued competing for his affection 312 314.

Following the destruction of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan and Clear Sky Sect, she proposed fleeing to Slaughter City. Beyond seeking safety, she privately hoped to eliminate Liu Erlong and contact the Rakshasa God to restore her cultivation. Her previous attempts to reach the god had failed 332 338.

Betrayal, Rescue, and Return

Tang Chen offered Yu Xiaogang a means of restoring his manhood in exchange for killing Bibi Dong. Yu Xiaogang eventually drugged her and, with Flender, abandoned her near the core of the Star Dou Great Forest. Although her body could not move, her consciousness remained clear, allowing her to hear the betrayal 339 355 356.

Soul beasts attacked her, leaving her close to death. Gu Yuena ordered Di Tian to rescue her because she was Qian Renxue's mother and the chosen successor of the Asura God's enemy. Di Tian brought an Emerald Swan to heal her, then arranged for a flying dragon soul beast to escort her out of the forest 356 357.

Bibi Dong returned to Spirit City and asked Gu Han to kill Yu Xiaogang, Tang San, and their companions, identifying Vast Sea City as their destination. She admitted that she had wronged Qian Daoliu and Spirit Hall, but maintained that she would never forgive Qian Xunji 357.
