Background

Spirit Hall was an Evil Soul Master faction formed by its Soul Douluo-level Hall Master, who gathered powerful Fallen Soul Masters and Evil Soul Masters under his command. It was described as the strongest Evil Soul Master force to emerge in more than a century. 167 170

Its Hall Master possessed the evil, spiritual-type Soul-Devouring Nightmare Martial Soul. He developed a body-snatching ability through its power, intending to seize a gifted Soul Master's body, conceal his original Martial Soul, and use the victim's identity to cultivate openly. 168 170

Evernight Forest Incident

Spirit Hall pursued Mendic Chris and the Holy Light Angel Enforcement Team through Evernight Forest. Its initial pursuit force included more than twenty Fallen and Evil Soul Masters, led by the Blood Skeleton, Ogre, and Brain-Eating Demonic Bear Soul Emperors; airborne members continued tracking the fleeing enforcement team. 165 166

Gu Han intervened and destroyed the pursuing force by freezing its members with his Ice Domain before shattering them with the Fire Domain's Scorching Halo. 167

While three Red-Robed Archpriests had delayed Spirit Hall's Hall Master and his two vice hall masters, an archpriest later offered the faction an escape route to Slaughter City if it killed Gu Han on Pope Bibi Dong's orders. The Hall Master accepted the arrangement. 167

The Hall Master, Blood Infant Soul Saint, and Painted Skin Female Soul Saint subsequently confronted Gu Han and the surviving enforcement team. Gu Han killed both vice hall masters, imprisoned the Hall Master with the Void Dark Domain, and destroyed his body with Sacred Light Roar Bomb. 168 169 170

The Hall Master's soul then entered Gu Han's Spiritual Sea in an attempt to seize his body. Gu Han's Yang Spirit resisted the possession attempt, erased the Hall Master's consciousness through the Heaven-Shaking Earth-Striking Grand Method, and absorbed his remaining soul power. 170
