  • Diakum used Cursed Maw to kill Gorelick and consume Imonar’s soul after suppressing an Apocalypse Bomb, while Yuna reunited with him and decided to return home.
  • Saloras and Oreses found Kuruul and offered it the Holy Light, but Kuruul refused as Kazzak and the Doom Lords pursued it.
Chapters 529–553 Vol. 6 Read

Ch. 529Just Now, the Vigilant Warlord Issued the Extinction Order

White Pawn and the other reserve commanders joined the Shadow Chasing Swarm’s desperate battle against the Void forces, while Anveena led a strike against the enemy’s Fleshheart Continent. Just as the swarm’s position collapsed, Deathwing’s arrival transformed its survivors into Black-Scourge Ravagers, and Diakum unleashed an Extinction Order against the enemy.

  • White Pawn took command of a devastated theater and sent the dwindling swarm forces into a brutal battle against the advancing Faceless Ones.
  • Jarod told White Pawn that the Queen of Blades was attacking the Fleshheart Continent, and White Pawn used baneling bugs to hold the line while Anveena prepared her strike.
  • Anveena detonated the Sha energy nodes, bringing the Fleshheart Continent crashing down onto the swarm’s territory and badly damaging its Mental Network.
  • Deathwing arrived and spread Frenzied Dragon Spores over the surviving Shadow Chasing Swarm, transforming its dragon-gene-bearing bugs into Black-Scourge Ravagers.
  • Diakum activated his decisive weapon and issued an Extinction Order against every Void creature on the battlefield that did not belong to his side.

Ch. 530We Pledge Not to Be the First to Use Decisive Weapons in a Divine War

Neltharion and the Shadowstalker Bugs turned the battle in the Sea of Darkness into a counterattack, while Diakum entered the Void deities’ trap armed with Ashbringer and the Solar Fist. Nali and Aegwynn recruited Tyrande to rescue him, and Tyrande prepared to enter the fight as the chapter ended.

  • Neltharion led the Black Corrosion Dragons against the Void forces, killing a Qiraji general and devouring the fallen enemies.
  • Korven celebrated the swarm’s recovery as Agamaggan, Shekzeer, and the injured Overmind survived the continent’s collapse and gathered biomass for the next phase of the war.
  • Diakum praised Anveena, reforged Ashbringer with solar fire, and transformed his five Golden Little Angels into the Five Angels of High Heaven before entering the Sea of Darkness.
  • The seven Void deities attacked Diakum together, but he answered with the Solar Fist and Ashbringer’s blazing power.
  • Nali and Aegwynn found Tyrande, who agreed to help Diakum and entrusted Aegwynn with maintaining her seal as she prepared to fight.

Ch. 53165. Lady Elune MVP, Dick—Sigh, Becoming the King of Stale Memes!

Diakum fought seven Void deities in the Sea of Darkness, shifting into his Devourer of Worlds form and nearly being destroyed before Tyrande and the Nightsworn arrived. He returned to the light after devouring the Abyssal Creator, while a visitor arrived at the dead Terokkar Rift to answer an invitation to exterminate evil gods.

  • Diakum battled the Void deities in his Solar Incarnation, but their combined attacks and mental corruption overwhelmed his defenses.
  • Diakum transformed into the Devourer of Worlds and began devouring the Abyssal Creator as the other Void deities tried to destroy him.
  • The Void deities tore apart Diakum's Voidform, but two dim golden chains kept him from falling completely into the Void.
  • Tyrande and the Nightsworn broke the Void blockade and attacked the Void deities, giving Diakum time to consume the Abyssal Creator and return to the light.
  • A giant visitor entered the dead Terokkar Rift after accepting an invitation to exterminate evil gods.

Ch. 532Hi, Brothers of the Sea of Darkness—This Party

Diakum battled the Void Gods in the Sea of Darkness while the Shadow Hunters evacuated precious insect eggs from the collapsing continent. He lured the Void Gods through a rift to Sargeras, who slaughtered them, then left Diakum and Tyrande to escape as the Wraith was thrown back into the fight.

  • Diakum refused Elune’s call to retreat, joined Tyrande against the Void Gods, and used power from Argus and Azeroth to pursue the Void God he countered most effectively.
  • Diakum provoked the Void Gods into attacking recklessly, then called on Holy Light to blast through the Wraith’s domain and seize its Void heart core.
  • Diakum entered Devourer of Worlds form and consumed the core’s energy before fleeing through a rift, while Tyrande kicked the suspicious Abyssal Prophet into it after him.
  • The Void Gods and Tyrande emerged in the Terokkar Rift, where Sargeras was waiting and began killing the Void Gods with Gorribal and fel fire.
  • Diakum and Tyrande escaped through the closing rift, and Diakum tossed the captured Wraith into Sargeras’s reach as a tip for his help.

Ch. 533The Fall of the Seven Gods Was Not Even the Beginning of the End—This

After the deaths of seven Void gods, Diakum lost his Void Authority for betraying the Void and prepared the Shadow Chasing Swarm to leave the collapsing Swarm Continent. The Truth Hunter gave him a fragment of Earth-Warder authority, and Diakum departed for the material world as the Eclipse War continued.

  • Tyrande and Diakum descended to the Swarm Continent as Dick explained that the Dark Titan had killed six Void gods and that he had devoured the Abyssal Creator.
  • The Void condemned Dick for selling out its interests, stripped his Void Authority, and marked him and the Shadow Chasing Swarm as traitors.
  • Tyrande left to restore her seal, while Diakum stayed behind as the collapsing continent's swarms raided the territories of the fallen gods.
  • Shekzeer offered to leave with Diakum, but he told her to return to the Overmind and care for the swarm as he waited for a guest.
  • The Truth Hunter gave Diakum a black stone tablet containing weakened Earth-Warder authority, and Diakum split it so the swarm could study and use its power.
  • Shekzeer departed with the tablet, and Diakum escaped to the material world as funeral bells rang for the fallen gods and the Eclipse War continued.

Ch. 53468Make the Holy Light Great Again! Congratulations on Making the Honor Roll

Velen arrived at the Sunwell floating island and discovered that Diakum could not awaken because the Holy Light and Void were struggling over him. As thousands underwent Lightforging to ease the imbalance, Diakum revealed High Heaven to Velen and asked him to help ignite the sun.

  • Velen examined the unconscious Diakum and diagnosed an imbalance between his Holy Light and shadow, so he organized a mass Lightforging to help awaken him.
  • Vilara told Velen about An'she and the Sun God's inheritance, prompting him to agree that the Sunwell floating island should travel to Quel'Thalas to check on Kael'thas.
  • Velen, Vilara, and Yrel arranged for thousands of believers, including Dragonborn chosen by Uther, to undergo Lightforging and Diakum's Trial of Virtue.
  • During the ritual, Diakum brought Velen to High Heaven, a vacant realm he believed An'she had left as a contingency against the Eclipse Age.
  • Diakum summoned the faint vision of angels and the High Heavens Gate, then invited Velen and the other leaders of the People of Light to help ignite the sun.

Ch. 535Void Authority Had Dropped to Zero, but Was That a Problem for the Glutton?

After recovering from the Lightforging ritual, Diakum helped arrange the Empire’s recovery and the rescue of Tandred while struggling with his falling Void Authority and an impending Light-shadow imbalance. He decided to devour Xal'atath as an experiment into whether a corrupted Naaru could return to the Light.

  • Diakum awoke after the ritual, accepted Nali and the Twins’ worried embrace, and thanked everyone who had helped save him.
  • Lothar discussed the new Strom'kar Empire’s delayed coronation and plans to train its officials and priests among the Eredar.
  • The Sunwell Floating Isle departed for Quel'Thalas carrying the seriously wounded, while Derek agreed to support the Shadewalkers’ search for Tandred with his First Fleet.
  • Daelin refused to return to Kul Tiras as king and chose to remain a sailor, though he agreed to help rescue Tandred.
  • Diakum discovered that his Void Authority had fallen to zero and that his Holy Light was recovering too quickly to maintain balance.
  • Diakum took the Blade of the Black Empire and began devouring Xal'atath, calling her Lightforged Xal'atath as he started his experiment.

Ch. 536Xal'atath: Damn It, I'm Surrounded by Holy Light Fanatics

Diakum devoured most of Xal'atath’s power and questioned her about An'she, learning that the Sun God was dead and that reigniting him could upset the balance of the Six Forces. Diakum preserved Xal'atath’s remaining will as an eclipse fragment, then learned that Kael'thas had seen something and might be refusing to wake.

  • Diakum questioned Xal'atath while devouring her power, asking about her origins and An'she.
  • Xal'atath revealed that the First Ones created An'she and Mu'sha, and that An'she had died after being gravely wounded in the Sun-Moon War.
  • Xal'atath warned Diakum that reigniting An'she could be as disastrous as the Eclipse Age, but confirmed that reviving her might theoretically allow him to revive the Sun God.
  • Diakum absorbed nearly all of Xal'atath’s Void power and preserved her remaining will in a Naaru crystal made from his little finger.
  • Saloras told Diakum that Kael'thas was speaking incoherently and might be unwilling to wake after seeing something.

Ch. 537Kael'thas's Sorrow: What Exactly Are We, Blood...

Kael'thas's Sunwell returned to Quel'Thalas, but the Sin'dorei still faced Magic Addiction and he became trapped in an illusion revealing his ancestors' sun worship among the Dark Trolls. After escaping, he proposed researching ways to draw usable energy from sunlight and vowed to challenge Suramar over the Arcan'dor.

  • Diakum entered Kael'thas's illusion with Queen Lanathel, Vilara, and other witnesses to discover what had trapped him.
  • The group witnessed ancient Dark Trolls worshipping the Sun Dragon Mother Shibala, and Vilara identified the Sunstrider elves as descendants of those sun worshippers.
  • Vondelor rejected the revelation that elves had Dark Troll ancestors, while Vilara urged the Sin'dorei to accept their origins and use them to establish the Sun State Religion.
  • Kael'thas admitted he had been considering whether sunlight could be transformed into energy to ease the Sin'dorei's Magic Addiction, and Diakum agreed that it might work with a suitable medium.
  • Kael'thas ordered research into solar divine arts and declared that the Sin'dorei would seek their share of the Arcan'dor, even if reclaiming it from Elisande required a Holy Tree War.

Ch. 538After the Holy Light, Death Began Awakening Its Tauren Nature

Kael'thas and the priests began developing Solar Divine Arts while Diakum discussed how cautiously the Sun God should be introduced to believers. Nali chose to become the first Eredar moon believer, and Diakum later learned that his actions had plunged the Sea of Darkness into turmoil and attracted the attention of Death.

  • Kael'thas quickly returned to work on Solar Divine Arts with Vondelor and the other Holy Light priests.
  • Vilara proposed involving Aldor priests, but Diakum insisted that worship of An'she remain restricted until the Sun God's Radiance of Ten Thousand Suns was rekindled.
  • Diakum showed Vilara his ambitious Divinity School student roster, including Arthas, Calia, Liadrin, Talanji, Li Li, and Hamul Runetotem, and she warned him against scandals with students.
  • Nali asked Argus for guidance, became the first Eredar to worship the moon, and received a moonlight mark; Velen assured her that the sun's radiance would protect her.
  • Diakum visited the Nether-Stalker's Void Rift and learned that the deaths of seven Void gods had triggered factional struggles across the Sea of Darkness.
  • The Nether-Stalker warned Diakum that Death had taken a strong interest in him and might seek to make him a champion.

Ch. 539The Headache-Inducing Shaper Sargerei the Exalted's Imperious Invitation Cannot Be Refused?

Diakum inspected the battered Shadow Chasing Swarm, approved its recovery and Anub'arak's new earth powers, and refused its request to conquer the Nerubians of Aki'kahet. Meanwhile, Sargerei debated sending Diakum to the Shadowlands, and the Mother of Light redirected her fleet toward Draenor to find and protect him.

  • Shekzeer reported the swarm's losses and recovery, and Diakum examined the Overmind's egg and the nearly thousand new eggs.
  • Shekzeer showed Diakum the surviving Anub'arak, whose earth powers had grown through the Earth Tablet, and Diakum approved the swarm's development.
  • Anub'arak asked to conquer Aki'kahet, but Diakum refused and said Anveena would eventually make use of the Nerubians there.
  • Diakum questioned Xal'atath about Chromatus, and she explained that studying it could help the swarm oppose the power of Order before asking what he intended to do.
  • Sargerei argued with a Greater Demon sovereign about inviting Diakum to the Shadowlands, then considered how sending him there could keep him from interfering in the material world.
  • The Mother of Light redirected the Army of the Light fleet toward Draenor so it could find and protect Diakum, whom she believed held the key to opening High Heaven.

Ch. 540Gul'dan's Wicked Plan for Dealing with Wicked People

Jaina struggled with her overwhelming Arcane Academy workload until Imira taught her a time-magic shortcut, and she reunited with Arthas after rescuing him from a crab. Meanwhile, Gul'dan planned to exploit Suramar's vulnerability to the Magic Plague and ordered Toserin to attack the Drakkari and harvest their Loa.

  • Jaina lamented her many assignments, and Imira showed her a scroll about using time acceleration and reversal to make time for recreation.
  • Jaina rescued Arthas from a magma-spewing crab that had dragged his father's urn underwater, then helped him reunite with Jialiya.
  • Gul'dan welcomed Toserin back with captured souls and ordered him to lead undead reinforcements to Kul Tiras to secure a stronger fleet.
  • Gul'dan proposed using the Magic Plague to weaken Suramar and asked whether Toserin would return to his people if ordered.
  • Toserin warned Gul'dan that Suramar's elves would resist any threat to Azshara, but Gul'dan planned to exploit their lack of experience with the plague.
  • Gul'dan ordered Toserin to slaughter Drakkari Trolls before the Zandalari arrived and to make colossi from the dead Loa.

Ch. 541Shandris Feathermoon's Adventure: Are You My Master?

Dick warned Nali against becoming a Night Warrior, but she remained determined to protect their people, while Old Gani brought news that Bwonsamdi was in danger. In Ashenvale, Shandris Feathermoon discovered that Baku the Moon-Eater had been drawn to her and tried to recruit the stranded serpent to Elune’s cause.

  • Dick found Nali bearing the Moon Goddess’s mark and urged her not to risk the Night Warrior’s dark wrath, but she insisted that the Eredar needed another Lesser God to protect them.
  • Old Gani delivered Bwonsamdi’s key and a plea for help, revealing that Bwonsamdi was under threat in Ardenweald after helping Azshara.
  • Dick told Old Gani to warn the Golden King that the Shadewalker Cult would help with the threat beneath his throne, and ordered the Nazmir Swamp sealed for the Swarm’s cleansing.
  • Shandris Feathermoon heard a voice drawing her toward Lake Mystral, but Sarahil struck her awake as a giant serpent emerged from the lake.
  • Baku the Moon-Eater explained that the Swarm Mind had linked him to Shandris Feathermoon and that the Void had cast him out, so Shandris and Sarahil offered him a place among Elune’s allies.

Ch. 54276. Ah, Stupid, Humans Can Finally Understand Each Other

Diakum used the Scythe of Elune and the shared will of Gilneas’s worgen to help them overcome their beastly instincts and return to human form. After the ceremony, Anveena began deploying her Saviors Swarm in Nazmir and prepared to investigate the Nerubian kingdom of Aki’kahet.

  • Diakum, Genn, and the druids prepared Gilneas for the ritual while Faol and Malfurion agreed that moon priests could help guide the worgen.
  • Malfurion explained that the Black Wolf God Lycantos had taken Lyral Fangs of Fire beyond Azeroth and hinted that Goldrinn had secretly blessed someone during the Battle of Lordaeron.
  • Diakum raised the Scythe of Elune, linked the minds of the worgen and city leaders, and led them through spiritual trials to confront their beastly natures.
  • Godfrey became human again, and Genn accepted Lothar’s welcome as the people of Gilneas celebrated their return to humanity.
  • Anveena brought insect eggs to Nazmir and appointed Princess Talanji to oversee the Saviors Swarm while she traveled to investigate Aki’kahet and its Nerubians.

Ch. 543Nurse Anveena Discovers That Azeroth Has Gallstones

Anveena and Talanji scouted Aki'kahet, where Anveena planned to use the Nerubians’ dealings with N’Zoth to bring them under the Saviors Swarm. While Anveena investigated a vast Holy Light crystal buried inside Azeroth, Talanji followed Rezan’s lead toward the hidden Haranir.

  • Anveena and Talanji observed the City of a Thousand Threads and agreed that the K’aheti Nerubians were too well-defended for a direct assault.
  • Anveena proposed claiming the K’aheti as heirs of the Aqir Empire and planned to exploit their tensions with N’Zoth by arranging the death of one of his messengers.
  • Anveena left with the Shadow Hunters to inspect a Holy Light wonder, while Talanji stayed behind and followed Rezan’s directions to an abandoned Goblin excavation site where hidden Haranir were watching her.
  • Anveena discovered a city-sized crystal radiating light and heat inside Azeroth’s core, and the Shadow Hunters reported that it showed ancient memories dating back before the Dark Empire.
  • Anveena ordered the Shadow Hunters to contact Diakum and Aegwynn, wondering whether Azeroth knew about the crystal inside her.

Ch. 544After Taking It, You Will No Longer Be Mortal, and All the World's Joys and Sorrows Will Leave You

Diakum investigated a mysterious crystal at Azeroth’s core and learned from Xal'atath that it was part of An'she’s divine body, left to protect Azeroth. Xal'atath urged Diakum to claim it and bear both the Sun God’s power and suffering; he agreed to use it eventually but postponed the attempt until he was ready.

  • The Saviors examined the crystal and found that it resonated with solar power before shifting into darkness and spawning Void-like essence.
  • Diakum sent the others to search Titan records and investigate the Earthen, then stayed behind to test the crystal with his eclipse power.
  • Xal'atath revealed that An'she had cast part of Himself into Azeroth to protect the Supreme Star Soul and described her plan to use it to spread an eternal Black Sun.
  • Xal'atath explained that taking the divine body could give Diakum the power to overcome his limits, but would also bind him to An'she’s immense suffering.
  • Diakum asked about Elune and Mu'sha, then accepted that he would use An'she’s divine body but delayed until he was in his best condition.

Ch. 545Abyssal Wall: Late Autumn in Kul Tiras

Brann Bronzebeard and Lelan discovered that the Earthen of Khaz Algar had rebelled against the Titan Keepers and agreed to help destroy their mainframe. Near Kul Tiras, Derek Proudmoore and General Staghelm found the kingdom overrun by Void forces and undead, then recovered a Mechagnome who warned that the King of Mechagon planned to unleash a devastating weapon.

  • Brann Bronzebeard and Lelan approached Dornogal, where the Unbound Earthen accused them of serving the Titan Keepers and revealed their rebellion against the Keepers’ oppression.
  • Lelan explained their mission, and the Unbound agreed to guide her and Brann to the mainframe in Gundargaz so they could destroy it.
  • Derek Proudmoore and General Staghelm surveyed Boralus and saw pirates, Naga, Drust evilwood giants, and the Void’s growing presence in Kul Tiras.
  • Derek and Staghelm spotted a fleet of undead ghost ships and decided to head for Drustvar to seek resistance fighters.
  • Derek’s crew hauled a metal egg from the sea and opened it with a gunshot, releasing a Mechagnome who warned that the King of Mechagon planned to use an Origin Weapon and urged them to contact Gnomeregan.

Ch. 546The Vigilant's Mortal Brothers-in-Arms Decide to Take Up the Burden

Lothar prepared the Human Empire to liberate Kul Tiras while Diakum stayed away from the Void’s trap and offered the mortals his support. The chapter ended with Diakum summoned to help complete the Argus Lord’s purification and Illidan’s damaged ship heading back to Azeroth to plan a rescue.

  • Lothar promised the naval officers that the Seventh Legion would prepare for a campaign in Kul Tiras, and he appointed Derek acting commander of the imperial fleet.
  • Diakum explained that the Origin Weapon could destroy Void creatures in Boralus but would also kill its human population, and he said the Void’s trap prevented him from entering Kul Tiras.
  • Lothar reassured Diakum that the Empire would liberate Kul Tiras without him, and Diakum suggested that a lost Thoradin Empire might survive beyond the Storm Sea.
  • Aegwynn proposed using a Bronze Dragon to investigate the empire’s past, but Diakum decided not to disturb Chromie and then received a summons to help purify the Argus Lord’s battle body.
  • Illidan learned that Lord Oturis had likely been captured and ordered his damaged ship to return to Azeroth so he could plan a rescue with help from the Light Butcher.

Ch. 5473. Argus-Class "Knight of the Lost Homeland" MS, Initial Test

Diakum and the Eredar completed the Knight of the Lost Homeland, a divine construct that let the Argus Lord wield a battle body powered by Azeroth. After testing it and receiving Draenor’s weapons, Diakum learned that Illidan had returned with news of Mardum, and prepared to join the coming assault on the Burning Legion’s heart.

  • Diakum and the Naaru redirected the construct’s power beacon from the Twisting Nether and completed its purification and Eredar redesign.
  • Diakum placed the Argus Heart ring in the construct, and the Argus Lord transferred His will into the Knight of the Lost Homeland.
  • The Argus Lord tested His new body, wielding Emperor’s Fall and drawing on Azeroth’s power of creation in a limited battle mode.
  • Nalagor presented the Argus Lord with a war spear forged by Draenor’s living beings.
  • An Eredar ranger told Diakum that Illidan had returned with news of Mardum, prompting Diakum to prepare to return to Azeroth for the coming attack on the Legion.

Ch. 5484. Mardum Offensive: Illidan's Hunger for the Wild Hunt

Diakum and Illidan agreed to launch a counterattack on Mardum, using the Shadow Chasing Swarm to invade the Burning Legion’s hub and consume its demons. The swarm began its migration toward Mardum, while the Nether-Stalker learned that its future could include biological motherships crossing the stars.

  • Diakum met Illidan at the Illidari vessel and learned that Kelya Soulfiend and Gorelick the Fleshrender had ambushed them, captured Oturis, and taken the Cursed Maw to Mardum.
  • Arantien reported that Sargerei was gathering more than a hundred Greater Demons and powerful war machines on Mardum for an invasion of Azeroth.
  • Diakum proposed sending the Shadow Chasing Swarm to Mardum to use immortal demons as biomass and weaken the Legion’s ability to wage war.
  • Illidan agreed to help the swarm establish itself, while the Illidari would seize Mardum’s hidden keystone and withdraw before the swarm took over the battlefield.
  • Shekzeer organized the swarm’s migration and asked the Nether-Stalker to open a void rift toward Mardum.
  • Shekzeer told the Nether-Stalker that Leviathan brood beasts and future Zerg Saints would eventually enable biological motherships to cross the galaxy.

Ch. 549Just Provoked the Void and Now You're Going After Fel Energy? Don't Believe It

Diakum led the Exodar and Illidari fleet through an ancient stargate toward Mardum, where they joined the Odachi and other allies preparing to invade the Burning Legion’s stronghold. After promising to help the Odachi reclaim their stolen warblades, he rallied the coalition for war.

  • Captain Fareeya, Voros, and the Light Weavers joined the Illidari fleet as Vilara prepared a military stargate and set its return coordinates.
  • The Exodar and Illidari warships crossed the phase wormhole and arrived at a barren world near the Twisting Nether.
  • Diakum learned that Yuna and her warship, the Bal, were also heading to join the Mardum operation, while the swarm would travel through a Void rift.
  • Diakum met Toranar and the Odachi, who asked him to help recover 14,674 warblades stolen when their homeworld fell.
  • Diakum promised to honor the Odachi’s final wish and rallied the Light Weavers and their allies to invade Mardum and fight the Burning Legion.

Ch. 550Kuruul's Loss: Why Doesn't the Light Butcher Show Up?

Kuruul was mocked and sent to Golganneth’s forge after his defeat by Vigilant, then unwittingly wished for Vigilant to attack Mardum. Vigilant and his allies invaded the demon world, where Kazzak returned as the Holy Light’s vanguard and Oturis died under the Betrayer’s blades.

  • Kaz'rogal mocked Kuruul, stripped of his leadership and reputation, and ordered him to report to Golganneth for experiments.
  • Kuruul overheard demon guards ridiculing him and silently wished that Vigilant would appear on Mardum and destroy the demons.
  • Vigilant answered Kuruul’s wish by striking a demon fortress with An'she's Solar Fist and arriving with golden angels to attack the demon hordes.
  • Kazzak rose from the ruins, declared his return as Mardum’s warden, and fought for the Holy Light as allied fleets entered the demon world.
  • Oturis celebrated Vigilant’s arrival while imprisoned, but Kelya Evil Soul killed him with her warblades and began the war.

Ch. 551There Aren't Many Kind-Hearted Demons Like You These Days

Diakum directed the assault on Mardum, bringing Agamaggan and the Shadow Chasing Swarm into the fight while the Illidari and their allies battled toward the Sargerite Keystone. The chapter ended with Diakum hurling Gorelick and Cursed Maw into the sun to test the demon and its weapon.

  • Golganneth ignored Kuruul's warning and continued forging an Apocalypse Bomb while Kuruul organized the demons' defenses and Kaz'rogal ordered the Legion to follow his strategy.
  • Diakum explained that he had targeted Kuruul with a campaign of rumors to break its resolve, then sent Oreses and Saloras to recruit it and support the Illidari.
  • Diakum summoned Agamaggan and the Shadow Chasing Swarm to Mardum, where the Queen of Blades sent Anub'arak underground to help find the Sargerite Keystone.
  • The Light Weavers, Illidari, Odachi, and their allies attacked Mardum's defenses as their fleet fought the demons in the sky.
  • Gorelick arrived with the soul-devouring axe Cursed Maw, and Diakum discovered that it could consume the Light.
  • Diakum let Gorelick strike him, then cast the demon and Cursed Maw onto the sun and invited them to feed on its light.

Ch. 552The Perfect Bounty Record Is About to Be Ended or Something? No

Yuna led the Bal into the Mardum battle, then pursued Imonar for its attacks on her clan. Diakum defeated Gorelick and examined Cursed Maw, but Imonar ambushed him with an Apocalypse Bomb before Yuna struck the bounty hunter from the sky.

  • Yuna ordered the Bal into the Twisting Nether to support the battle at Mardum and personally led a hunt for Imonar.
  • Diakum killed Gorelick in a star's corona and discovered that Cursed Maw could project a vision of the Pantheon's destruction.
  • Imonar saw Diakum trapped in the illusion and rammed him with a hunter ship carrying an Apocalypse Bomb.
  • Yuna attacked Imonar from her Holy Light Hunter craft, furious that it had struck Diakum.

Ch. 5539. You Won't Convert, and You Won't Die—You're Really Making This Difficult for Me

  • Yuna attacked the wounded Imonar in a fury over Diakum’s apparent death, but Imonar activated an Apocalypse Bomb as she closed in.
  • Diakum arrived in time to suppress the explosion, then used Cursed Maw to kill Imonar and consume his soul.
  • Yuna reunited with Diakum, confirmed she had completed her hundred demon hunts, and said she wanted to return home to her family.
  • Saloras and Oreses searched for Kuruul while leading their forces through the demon army, and Saloras used a Mind Storm to drive demons insane.
  • Kazzak sensed Kuruul’s location, interrupted its escape, and drew the Doom Lords into an assault as Kuruul fled.
  • Saloras and Oreses intercepted Kuruul, and Saloras ordered it to stop and accept the Holy Light; Kuruul refused.
