The Origin Engine was the most important facility in the Everything Unification Field, as well as its largest piece of equipment.
The Tol'vir had built an enormous temple around the thing, yet that temple covered only about a tenth of the Origin Engine's portion buried beneath the ground.
When three Titan Souls hauled it from underground to the surface, it was as though a massive mountain of metal had appeared in the Uldum Desert. It could not even be loaded onto a starship for transport. Even a Tempest Keep-class flagship could only contain it after its internal cargo hold had been opened up and modified, and because of the pulsations of creation energy, all sorts of interference could easily arise during transport.
Diakum had invited Aegwynn to use the Staff of Sargeras to send it directly to the planet where the Eredar stored their Everything Unification Field equipment. But Aegwynn, who feared neither heaven nor earth, showed rare hesitation.
"Its interference is too powerful, Diakum."
Unlike everyone else, Aegwynn did not address Dick honorifically. Even knowing that a god stood before her, she still chose to speak with him as she always had, which made the Vigilant rather comfortable.
He patiently listened to Aegwynn's explanation.
The Star Soul Spokesperson holding the Staff of Sargeras shook her head and said:
"The power of creation contained within it will overflow at the slightest disturbance. Just look at the terrain of Uldum, Silithus, and Tanaris, and you'll understand how deadly such an overflow can be.
"Though the Staff of Sargeras can stabilize the spatial rift during teleportation to the greatest extent possible, I cannot guarantee that it will remain calm once it arrives.
"But this is not a problem with the Staff of Sargeras.
"It is my problem."
Aegwynn stroked her staff and
