Thank You, Riddle
Snape's somber face betrayed no emotion as he strode to the preparation table.
"According to records, the curse magic of the Blood Curse penetrates into every drop of blood. I have seen antidote ingredients for similar curses. They usually break other curses by activating the magical properties of the herbs to Banishing Charm the curse magic. However, the Blood Curse magic is completely different. If you use this method to prepare an antidote, it can only suppress the curse temporarily and will cause great harm to the cursed person."
Dumbledore glanced at the pile of herbs with his hands clasped behind his back and said casually, "Severus, sometimes, being hurt is a last resort, because there is no better way."
"How do you know there isn't a better way if you haven't tried? Headmaster," Snape retorted.
"So we need to try, and we need your help, and if that doesn't work," Dumbledore sighed, "We'll just have to deal with the immediate problem first."
Snape paused for a moment, then said curtly, "There will be a better way to solve this."
"That is also my greatest expectation." Dumbledore smiled.
Snape seems really hoping the antidote will work... Sean narrowed his eyes slightly, as if he understood something.
Then Snape took out several bottles of prepared Potions, walked to the glass tube containing Nagini's blood, and gestured to Dumbledore.
Dumbledore took out his wand again, and after Snape slowly poured the Potions into the glass tube, he tapped his eyes, and then Sean saw that Dumbledore's pale blue eyes shone.
Is this some kind of spell that allows one to see changes in magical power? Sean craned his neck.
However, the experimental results were clearly unsatisfactory. After several bottles of Potions were dripped in, the test tubes either did nothing or boiled violently, with one tube of blood even exploding.
Dumbledore and Snape's expressions remained unchanged, as if they had expected this. After cleaning up, they continued their experiments.
Time passed slowly, and Sean glanced at his watch. Several hours had gone by, and progress was far from satisfactory.
Dumbledore and Snape discussed things constantly during the experiment, Snape would occasionally bend down to write something on the parchment. As a 'genius' with Potions talent of 2, Sean said he couldn't understand what Snape was saying or writing.
Somewhat bored, Sean turned his attention to Nagini, the large snake confined in a cage. She was clearly still agitated, occasionally banging against the cage. However, the cage seemed to be enchanted, as Nagini's movements made no sound.
Sean crouched down and made eye contact with Nagini. She opened her mouth wide, as if to bite him, but was stopped by the cage.
Speaking of which, if Nagini were to revert to human form, would she still look like she did when she was young?
Just as Sean was pondering this, Dumbledore's voice rang out. He exclaimed, "Severus, you are a genius! I have never seen anyone better than you in the improvement and innovation of Potions."
Sean turned his head and saw Dumbledore holding a vial of blood, examining it closely.
Snape was writing furiously on the parchment, not even glancing up at Dumbledore's praise.
"Sir Principal, this is just the beginning."
"But at least it's a good start, and I can see hope." Dumbledore seemed very pleased.
After Snape finished writing the last few strokes, he put down his quill and said in a deep voice, "It seems that there is some effect, but we still have to face a serious problem: dosage."
He looked at Nagini: "A small vial of blood is fine, but to completely remove the Blood Curse, a huge dose of Potions is needed, and the remaining potion's properties will accumulate into another highly toxic poison."
Snape's expression darkened. "She might revert to human form, but the poison will also take her life."
Dumbledore rested his chin on his hand and said in a deep voice, "Can this formula be improved?"
"Almost impossible," Snape shook his head. "I've studied this for three years..."
He abruptly stopped himself from saying anything more, his face growing increasingly gloomy.
"It can't be improved now!" he said angrily, as if he were angry with himself.
Sean blinked. Snape knew.
Dumbledore sighed. "It seems we need to try more."
He turned to Sean and said, "Sean, I'm sorry to have kept you waiting so long. I thought I could get you to take charge today, but I was a little too optimistic."
Sean shook his head to indicate that he didn't care, then asked in confusion, "Professor, the purpose of Potions is to remove the curse magic from the blood, right?"
Before Dumbledore speak, Snape's sarcastic voice rang out. "It's a hundred times more complicated than you think, but you wouldn't understand even if I told you, so you can keep your superficial understanding."
"Doesn't that mean my understanding was correct? That old bat really holds a grudge..." Sean muttered to himself.
Dumbledore glanced at Snape and said gently to Sean, "That's the idea, but the Blood Curse is too powerful. We need too many Potions, which will cause great harm to the soft, young body."
Sean heard Snape's breathing quicken.
He touched his nose and said, "Professor, I have a preliminary idea."
Dumbledore seemed very interested. "Of course, tell me, Sean, I'd love to hear it."
"The Blood Curse is entangled in every drop of the cursed person's blood, so could we try a different approach?" Sean pointed at Nagini. "What if we gave her a blood transfusion?"
Dumbledore raised an eyebrow slightly, while Snape let out a cold snort.
Sean ignored him and continued speaking.
"In the Muggle world, there is a surgery that involves a complete blood transfusion. Of course, it's a slow process, Blood Curse might contaminate the newly transfused healthy blood. So, is there a way, for example, to instantly drain all the blood while still keeping her alive...?"
He shrugged. "We are wizards after all."
Dumbledore, then whispered, "There are many ways to keep someone alive, but completely draining her blood is impractical... Perhaps we can leave just enough blood to keep her alive, and then use Potions..."
Sean continued, "The idea is to use Potions to remove the Blood Curse and then replace it with healthy blood. But I'm not sure if it's feasible."
Dumbledore's eyes gradually brightened. "Brilliant idea... Sean, you've given me another surprise. How did you come up with this?"
Sean returned the smile, his inspiration drawn from Riddle's legacy, which included a Dark Arts called the Blood Extraction Curse...
Thank you, Tom.
Dumbledore looked at Snape: "Severus, Sean's method has a chance, I'm almost certain—I need your help. Simply replacing blood isn't enough; we need to add more details."
Snape's face trembled slightly. He looked at Sean, wanting to say something, but in the end, he turned away with a gloomy expression.
He started getting angry at himself again.
