After calming the frightened Magical Creatures, Sean walked towards the source of the sound.

"Awoo!" It was a huge roar, similar to that of a lion or leopard, and somewhat like that of Niffler. The other party was obviously a powerful creature. When Sean passed through the Erumpent area, the sensitive little guy did not hide in the shed, but he was extremely uneasy, pawing at the hard soil with his front hooves.

Seeing the tumor on the Erumpent's head emitting a faint red glow, Sean quickly went over to comfort it.

Over this period of time, he has developed a close relationship with the Magical Creatures in Newt's box, and Newt has even been a little jealous at times.

Once the Erumpent had calmed down, Sean continued his journey. After arriving in the mountainous region, he finally met Newt.

The professor of the Care of Magical Creatures was now a bit disheveled, covered in mud and with a tear in his vest.

Newt had a wand in his mouth, a metal bucket in one hand, and was waving food in the other.

"Awooo!" After a deafening roar, Sean only saw a huge gray shadow snatch the food from Newt's hand and flip Newt over onto the ground.

"Ptooey!" Newt spat out the dirt in his mouth, then saw Sean not far away. "Hey, Sean, how have you been?"

"I'm fine, Professor!" Sean raised his hands and waved vigorously, then widened his eyes, "Watch out behind you!"

The enormous shadow reappeared and lunged straight at Newt.

However, a wizard who could tame Niffler and Runespoor, and even befriend Obscurus, was clearly no novice. Newt used agility beyond his years to nimbly dodge the shadow's attack, then picked up his wand from the ground and immediately cast an Shield Charm.

The shadow's attack, which had turned around, crashed into the transparent barrier. It retreated and leaped back onto the tree trunk, glaring menacingly at Newt.

Sean then got a clear look at the creature. It was a creature that looked like a leopard and a cat at the same time, but its size was like a lion. Its brown fur was as smooth as the most luxurious silk, and its deep blue round eyes had a strange magic. Just by looking at it, one felt as if they could see right through him.

On its belly, two thick, powerful hind legs appeared, its six legs gripping the tree trunk tightly, its back arched high, and it kept emitting threatening growls.

Having carefully read Newt's exclusive notes, Sean immediately recalled the other person's name: Wampus Cat.

Its name may seem unremarkable, but it received a rating of xxxxx in the Ministry of Magic's Magical Creatures danger rating system, meaning it is a known animal that kills wizards or is virtually impossible to tame or raise.

This Magical Creatures creature, native to the Appalachian Mountains in the America, is agile, strong, and virtually indestructible. The renowned America wand maker John Jonkel used Wampus cat hair as the core for his wands.

"Professor Scamander, where did this guy come from?" Sean was dumbfounded. How come there were more and more dangerous animals in Newt's box?

Newt crouched down, facing the still growling Wampus Cat, and then slowly backed away to Sean's side.

"Sean, it's so good to see you at this time." He wiped his dirty face and smiled at Sean.

"Professor, who is this guy?"

Newt took a piece of food from the metal bucket and threw it onto the open ground in front of him, saying quickly, "We don't know how it got here. We don't know if it was smuggled in or if it accidentally triggered an illegal Portkey. It turned Hogsmeade Village upside down. Luckily, it's not a day off today, so I brought it back before anyone got hurt."

"Awooo—" The Wampus Cat let out a deep growl. It looked extremely hungry, but the Shield Charm from earlier had made it very sensitive, and it dared not approach the food on the open ground.

"Our new guest is extremely sensitive right now," Newt sighed. "When it first came in, it made a huge scene, and the other animals must have been terrified. It's only because the environment here is closer to its native habitat that it's been a little—well-behaved."

Sean turned his attention to the Wampus Cat. Unlike the Niffler, which was still a cub, this guest was clearly an adult, and his size was ridiculously large.

"Professor, are Wampus Cat really this big?"

"I don't know if I'm lucky or unlucky," Newt shrugged, "I always run into these well-developed kids."

"Do you need my help?" Sean asked.

"That's exactly what I'm asking for. It's too sensitive right now and won't listen to anything I say. Sean, I need you to calm it down for me first."

"No problem." Sean took a step forward.

The Wampus Cat's attention immediately fell on Sean.

Sean stared at its deep blue, round eyes, wanting to get a little closer, when he saw the Wampus Cat's pupils flicker and turn from deep blue to pitch black.

"Sean, turn around! Don't look it in the eye!" Newt's voice rang out from behind.

Upon hearing this, Sean immediately twisted his neck, but a huge wave of drowsiness still washed over him, causing him to stumble slightly.

"Awooo!" The Wampus Cat was as fast as an arrow released from a bow. It suddenly stood up and charged forward, walking upright.

"Awooo!" Its sharp claws missed Sean's head; Newt's Ironclad Shield Charm stopped the Wampus Cat.

Its pupils changed from pure black back to deep blue, and the Wampus Cat, in pain, let out a low growl before returning to the tree trunk.

Sean broke out in a cold sweat, his drowsiness instantly vanishing. He retreated to Newt's side, still shaken, and asked, "What's going on?"

"Sean, you're in such a hurry. I haven't finished yet," Newt said, shielding him as they slowly backed away, explaining as they moved. "The eyes of the Wampus Cat have the magical abilities of hypnosis and Legilimency. The jet-black pupils are for hypnosis, and the deep blue pupils are for Legilimency."

Sean was somewhat taken aback. His abilities had been invincible until now, but the Wampus Cat seemed to be restraining itself quite a bit.

"Because of this ability, Wampus Cat are very sensitive. When hunting, they will hypnotize their prey and then stand up and smash the other's head with their claws. When facing an enemy that can match them, they will switch back to Legilimency. Although it is difficult for them to understand human thinking, they can judge the other's next move."

"So strong..." Sean glanced at the Wampus Cat furtively; the cat-leopard was still staring intently at the two of them.

"This guy doesn't want to talk to us properly at all..." Newt looked at the distant cliffs. "Sean, we need to find you a helper."
