Basilisk Reappears
Mrs. Norris, with her dark gray fur, was calling out anxiously and in a panic, her large, protruding eyes, like her owner's, filled with fear.
It grabbed Sean's trouser leg and tried to drag him away.
"Is there danger here? No... has something happened to Mr. Filch?" Sean asked, puzzled.
Filch rarely attended banquets, because the students' smiling faces made him lose his smile. Had the castle caretaker tripped and fallen while oiling his shackles?
Instead of heading straight to Filch's office, Sean picked up Mrs. Norris and ran quickly toward the Great Hall.
First, find a professor...
However, just after Sean and Hermione ran across the stone corridor, they turned the corner and saw two figures lying on the ground.
Under the dim light of a thin candle, two stiff figures lay motionless on the ground.
The castle caretaker Filch, lay sprawled on the floor, his body cold and stiff. His large, bulbous eyes held an indescribable look of terror. The blue glow of the candlelight illuminated him, and cleaning tools lay scattered around him.
Beside him stood Edmund Grubb, whom he had just spoken of to Sean and the Sean. He was no longer milky white and translucent, but had become completely black and shrouded in smoke. He hovered six inches above the ground, his face bearing the same look of terror as Filch.
Some writing was scribbled on the dark gray stone wall.
The Chamber of Secrets has been opened, and those untrustworthy, filthy bloods, those Mudblood who are not worthy of sitting in Hogwarts, will all be purged!
Basilisk! Sean's pupils contracted sharply; he immediately thought of the killer's name.
"Dave!"
Almost instinctively, he summoned Dave. The mutated Swooping Evil's body grew larger and larger, and under Sean's command, it firmly enveloped him and Hermione.
"Don't open your eyes, use your senses," Sean instructed.
As a Swooping Evil, Dave can sense the surrounding terrain without using his eyes.
Hermione also witnessed this scene, and although she didn't know why Sean had summoned Dave in such a panic, she kept her mouth shut.
However, the Basilisk seemed to have disappeared into the pipe after the attack, and Dave did not feel any danger.
Under Dave's protection, Sean led Hermione quickly toward the Great Hall, and only breathed a Sean of relief when they saw the brightly lit main entrance.
"Sean, are those Filch and Edmund? They've been attacked?" Hermione asked quickly and quietly.
Sean spread out his sleeves to let Dave shrink back in, and said in a deep voice, "No, it's a terrifying creature... Looks like there really won't be time for dessert today."
As soon as I arrived at the Entrance Hall, I heard the noisy chatter of the students. They had just finished a wonderful Halloween Feast, and everyone's face was beaming with smiles. They were now preparing to go back to their dormitories to rest.
"Everyone, go back!" Sean shouted as he saw the students walking out in twos and threes.
In the noisy environment, hardly anyone could hear his voice, and the students were talking and trying to scatter.
A loud explosion rang out, blasting a hole in the stone wall above the Entrance Hall. Everyone stopped in their tracks and looked towards the entrance.
Sean held his wand, his expression serious, and he was also holding the annoying Mrs. Norris in his arms, giving off a strange and eerie feeling.
Sean had no choice but to cast the spell and cause a commotion. After all, the Basilisk was still inside the castle, and what if it couldn't hold back and attacked again? Sean didn't want his classmates to die innocently.
"Everyone back inside the Great Hall! It's dangerous outside!" Sean shouted.
"Playing tricks... Wallerup, your Halloween joke is terrible." A Slytherin student sneered sarcastically.
"Second-grade brat, are you addicted to last year's bonus points?" Next to that person, another boy in a silver-green robe also opened his mouth to mock.
Snape has recently given Sean several extra points, though only a point or two at most, but it still makes the Little Snakes unhappy, and their gazes towards Sean are full of displeasure.
Sean didn't even glance at the two men and walked straight into the Great Hall.
"Hey kid, your senior is talking to you." A hand reached out.
Sean immediately raised his wand. "Acupunct Internus..."
The person quickly shrank back, almost tripping in the process.
"You dare to use evil curses directly in school?" he shouted angrily.
"Idiot... If you want to go and die, then do as you please." Sean walked into the Great Hall without turning his head, amidst the surprised gazes of the others.
The professors had clearly noticed the commotion at the door, and Professor McGonagall was walking toward them with a serious expression.
Professor Dumbledore isn't here? Sean glanced around and frowned, his expression turning grim.
"Wallerup, do you know what you're doing?" Professor McGonagall walked up to him.
"Professor, there is danger inside the castle."
He leaned close to Professor McGonagall's ear and quickly recounted what he had seen.
After hearing this, Professor McGonagall's expression became even more serious. She pressed her wand to her throat, and a roar like a lion echoed throughout the Great Hall: "All students! All of you, return to the Great Hall! Prefect, take attendance immediately, and report anyone who is absent!"
Professor McGonagall's authority was still very high. Although they were puzzled, all the students obediently returned to the Great Hall.
"Mr. Wallop, take us there." Professor McGonagall called out to Professor Flitwick and Professor Scamander, while the other professors remained in the Great Hall to maintain order and protect the students.
As she stepped out of the Entrance Hall, Professor McGonagall saw the hole Sean had blown out. She waved her wand, and the rubble flew back, smoothing the wall again.
"Professor, Wallerup just openly used a curse on me!" The Slytherin upperclassman who had been scared away by Sean just now immediately came up at the door.
"He was saving your life! Foolish! Mr. Trevino, five points are deducted from Slytherin for falsely accusing your classmate!" Professor McGonagall turned to Sean, her tone much gentler. "You did very well, Mr. Wallop, thirty points Ravenclaw."
"Professor, I..." Trevino stared wide-eyed in disbelief.
Before he could say anything more, a hand gripped the back of his neck.
He turned his head, swallowing hard, his mouth trembling. "Dean... Dean..."
"Shut your mouth." Snape's face was grim.
Inside the school Hospital Wing, several professors sat in a row, with Filch lying petrified on the bed.
"This is some kind of magic I've never seen before..." Professor Flitwick said with a serious expression.
