The Pure-Blood Family's Fool
Sean nodded. As long as the professors knew what the monster in the Chamber of Secrets was, the castle would be much safer.
His only worry was the person who opened the Chamber of Secrets, and that person was most likely not Tom Riddle...
Sean thought of the mysterious person behind the scenes, the one who stole the key between reality and the Realm of Illusion within the Ministry of Magic.
Was the opening of the Chamber of Secrets aimed at me? Or was it simply for murder?
The professors discussed it for a while, and finally Professor McGonagall came to the conclusion that, just as Sean said, it's better to believe it's true than not to believe it's not.
"We'll figure something out, Sean. You should go back and rest—the students all have to stay in the Great Hall today."
Professor McGonagall had Hagrid take Sean back to the Great Hall and also inform the other professors who remained there.
After Sean left, the professors exchanged glances, each seeing the worry and surprise in the other's eyes.
"He's such a perceptive boy; he reminds me of the headmaster," Professor Flitwick said.
Newt nodded in agreement with Flitwick's statement. "In such a short time since the incident, he has not only made the right choice, but also deduced a highly probable conclusion—I must say, I have been convinced by him. I also studied Chamber of Secrets when I was in school."
"I'm convinced too... Of course, we can't rule out other possibilities. Filch might have been attacked by some kind of advanced Dark Arts." Professor McGonagall said with a frown, "Albus hasn't returned yet. We need to ensure the students' safety first. Let's take turns on watch tonight."
"I'm fine."
"OK."
Everyone who had expressed their opinions looked at Lockhart, who had remained silent.
Lockhart took a step back and stammered, "Of course, I won't even close my eyes—how about we work in pairs when we're on duty?"
In the Great Hall, the students gathered in their own groups. Nick's Deathday Party had ended, and the ghosts had obviously seen the writing at the accident scene. Similarly, the students soon found out as well.
News of the Chamber of Secrets being opened spread like wildfire, and the students were filled with anxiety.
They whispered among themselves about the legends they had heard, from the Chimera to the Five-Legged Beast, discussing the true forms of the monsters in the Chamber of Secrets.
Only the Slytherin Little Snakes watched all this with indifference. The Chamber of Secrets had been opened, and Slytherin House was the least worried. On the contrary, the filthy Mudblood of the other houses were about to be punished, which made them feel great.
However, not everyone was entirely confident. Some people in Slytherin House were muttering nervously. They weren't entirely Pure-blood; their parents were just wizards, and many of their ancestors were Muggle.
When Sean walked into the Great Hall, everyone's eyes were on him.
However, no one thought he would be Heir of Slytherin, after all, Sean was born into the Muggle Family.
"Hey, Wallerup, watch out for the heir!" a Slytherin boy shouted at him.
Sean curled his lip. Where in the Wizarding World are there any truly Pure-blood? Those families that have always maintained their Pure-blood, like the Gaunt Family, have a bunch of mentally unstable members who are the result of inbreeding.
With so few Wizarding World, they would have been wiped out long ago if they didn't intermarry with Muggle.
"What's your name?" Sean asked lazily.
"Jermaine Bulstrode," the boy answered instinctively, then became annoyed. "Who do you think you are? Watch your attitude."
"Bulstrode, Pure-blood families ..." Sean sighed.
Bulstrode proudly puffed out his chest; the Twenty-Eight Pure-Blood Families were a source of pride for his family.
Sean chuckled, "Tomorrow I'll spend dozens of Galleon to publish a revelation in the Daily Prophet."
Bulstrode suddenly had a bad feeling, but he still sneered and said, "You think you can beg the heir to spare you with your Galleon? Don't dream, Wallerup. All those of impure blood will be eliminated!"
"That's exactly what the Heir of Slytherin thinks..." Sean gave an elegant smile, but in Bulstrode's eyes he looked like a devil. "I'll write in the notice that I'll give a sum of money to anyone who can provide proof that the Bulstrode Family has Muggle ancestors. Hmm, Mr. Bulstrode, what do you think of thirty Galleon?"
"What nonsense are you talking about!" Bulstrode stretched his neck, but his face was already slightly red.
In today's Wizarding World, who can guarantee that their ancestors never intermarried with Muggle? Outsiders may not know, but these Pure-blood families know very well that none of them are 'clean'.
Sean continued with a smile, "Thirty Galleon not enough? How about fifty? Coincidentally, I have plenty of spare cash, and I can accept a higher offer—or, Bulstrode, you can come to me to collect the money yourself."
His smile grew even brighter, "Then I wrote down all that evidence on little slips of paper and threw them into every corner of the castle. Who is the heir? Will he see them? Will he think you're someone who should be eliminated too? Ha—how interesting! Thinking about it makes me a little excited— Bulstrode, you still haven't said what price you think is appropriate?"
Bulstrode blushed. He wanted to yell at the other man, but Sean had given too much—he was worried that some penniless old folks might actually expose their family secrets.
His great-grandmother was actually a Squib, and the daughter of a wizard and Muggle.
What if the Heir of Slytherin is really strict...?
Snape, who had been standing by the door, walked in and looked coldly at Sean: "Go back to your seat, Wallerup, if you don't want to lose points."
Sean smiled and didn't say anything more. These Pure-blood not only had abnormal thought processes, but their IQs were also not very high.
He was just making a threat; who would waste money on such an idiot? However, Bulstrode's actions proved everything.
"Bulstrode, good luck. Perhaps the heir is right beside you." He casually tossed out the words and walked away.
Bulstrode then realized: This bastard is bluffing me!
Beside him, the Little Snakes were already looking at him strangely, and they unconsciously distanced themselves from Bulstrode.
"This bastard!" He wanted to curse aloud, but in the end, he could only roar in his heart.
