Fleece the Sheep First
After readily and generously telling Sean the spell, Gormlaith began to explain her plan.
"I need you to find an excuse to lure the professors here one by one," she said confidently, noticing Sean's anxious expression. "Don't worry about my methods; as long as those fools come alone, I will simply take their lowly lives."
So, they're Basilisk people? Sean inwardly curled his lip; what a simple and crude method...
Moreover, after Sean reminded the professors of the true nature of the monster in the Chamber of Secrets, he felt that Gormlaith's 'simple' plan might not be useful...
However, this is not Sean needs to worry about. He has only one goal now: to pry as much good stuff as possible out of this madman.
He hesitated before saying, "Madam, I'm just a second-year student, and I usually hang out with my classmates. I don't have any special tricks up my sleeve. Besides, if I lure a professor here, how am I supposed to notify you? I can't guarantee that no one will be here all the time..."
Gormlaith nodded in agreement. "You've thought this through very well; it was something I overlooked..."
You've overlooked so many things... Sean thought to himself.
He finally understood why the Ghostly Horned Serpent's method of killing the chicken was so brutal, simple, and unplanned; having such a brainless person directing things behind the scenes had dragged down its intelligence level too much.
Gormlaith thought for a moment and then said, "How about this, I'll teach you a few spells..."
She quickly recited the names of the three spells and also taught Sean the correct hand gestures quite seriously.
With his system panel, Sean naturally didn't need to worry about the other party teaching him harmful spells. Moreover, his learning speed in Dark Arts was too fast.
Mist Phantom Charm Lv0 (Dark Arts): Proficiency 100/5000
This spell can summon a mist that conceals its form, while other wizards within the mist will feel a sense of drowsiness.
Sleeping Curse Lv0 (Dark Arts): Proficiency 100/5000
This is a rare type of curse magic. Depending on the caster's intention and the intensity of the magic output, the cursed person will fall into a deep sleep that is difficult to awaken.
Shadow Worm Charm lv0: Proficiency 50/5000
This is the only non- Dark Arts spell that Gormlaith taught Sean. This spell can summon a shadow worm that will travel to a certain place according to the caster's will and leave a magical mark.
In this way, Gormlaith can receive the message in advance through the Shadow Bug and make preparations.
"Quite generous... "Sean muttered to himself.
These three spells are clearly the private collection of a Pure-blood Wizard family; no professor at Hogwarts would teach you these. Moreover, the first two Dark Arts have relatively minor side effects, unlike other malevolent Dark Arts that require strong negative emotions to cast.
"Quite a lot of stuff..." Unsatisfied, Sean continued to feign a timid demeanor, stammering, "But it will take me a long time to master these spells... Won't that ruin your plans?"
A flash of violence and contempt crossed Gormlaith's eyes as she said coldly, "Draco, these spells aren't particularly advanced magic. Even a novice wizard should be able to master them within half a month."
"I... I will try my best..." Sean glanced at his ridiculously proficient mastery of the Three Unforgivable Curses, lowered his head and said softly.
Gormlaith was clearly eager to see her cruel plan. She hesitated for a moment, then said stiffly, "I have something else to give you..."
Sure enough, it's most satisfying to catch a sheep and fleece it... Sean showed an expectant expression.
Gormlaith took a deep breath and said, "Remember my next pronunciation, remember it well."
She made a faint, hissing sound.
Parseltongue?!
Wow, they're really going all out... Sean clicked his tongue in amazement, then memorized the syllables they uttered.
"You should know what that is..." Clearly, Gormlaith was a little unhappy about passing on the talent she inherited from her bloodline to someone else.
"Of course, it's Parseltongue. My father told me that only the great pure-blooded descendants of Slytherin can inherit this talent that others can't learn." Sean subtly flattered him, hoping the other party would reveal more.
He has just discovered something amazing.
A new ability has appeared on my system panel!
Parseltongue (Bloodline Talent) (Not Mastered): Proficiency 10/10000
Although I haven't mastered it yet, as long as the progress bar appears, it means that I can learn Parseltongue!
No, that's not right. Although some of the Parseltongue pronunciations can be imitated, this talent is actually a kind of magic, a kind of magic that only people with Parseltongue blood can use.
Why was I able to learn Parseltongue? Did my ancestors for eighteen generations have some connection to Slytherin?
Gormlaith was quite pleased with his flattery, and her tone became less harsh. "You know that's good. Parseltongue isn't a language, it's a talent. Even if I wanted to teach you, you wouldn't be able to learn it. At most, you could only imitate a few syllables—those syllables just now meant 'open'."
The proficiency level increased from 10 to 20.
Wow, it really is possible to learn... "Um, then what is my purpose in learning these syllables?" Sean asked, puzzled.
"It's so that you can obtain the treasure left behind by Lord Slytherin. That Sickle help you become stronger, so that you can complete the mission better."
Sure enough, there's still wool left!
"Then where can I get it?"
Gormlaith licked her lips and said somewhat grimly, "Go to the Slytherin Common Room. Find a time when no one is around. Go Common Room and find a stained-glass window by the water. There's a statue of Lord Slytherin carved on that window. At the very bottom of the window, there's a Little Snakes. Say the syllables I just taught you to that snake, and a passage will open. Go through the passage and you'll find Lord Slytherin's hidden treasure."
That sounds good... Sean's eyes lit up, but he was a little worried that Parseltongue might have already gotten there first in a place like the Slytherin Common Room.
Gormlaith hissed again and explained, "I've never been inside. These syllables are the key to obtaining the treasure. They mean 'Open, the descendant of glory has arrived. Grant me the secret of your great power.'"
"My proficiency level has jumped to 120..." Sean blinked.
Gormlaith nodded only after Sean pretended to have barely memorized it.
She licked her lips, her dark body moved closer, and a sinister voice rang out.
"Draco, although I trust every Pure-blood, this is a matter of great importance, and I must ensure that nothing goes wrong."
Her jet-black arms transformed back into sheer black particles, and then she approached with ill intent.
"Tsk, no more wool..." Sean sighed inwardly, then a hint of coldness flashed in his lowered eyes.
The sheep have been thoroughly fleeced; it's time to slaughter them...
