Victor: Sean Wallerup!
The sudden appearance of the Hungarian Horntail Dragon in the cave brought an end to the farcical display of greed. No one used spells on their companions anymore, and no one even glanced at the Golden Egg.
In a confined and dark environment, a Fire Dragon would pose an absolutely deadly threat.
Their greatest misfortune was encountering a Fire Dragon Animagus, who was unknown to anyone else; their greatest fortune was that the Fire Dragon was just Animagus, and inside was still a wizard.
Sean, who could have wiped out the entire group with just Breath Attack, lowered his head without a care and charged straight into the crowd with his indestructible, massive body!
Several wizards who remained somewhat calm, such as Pena, cast Eye-Blinding Charm and Hypnosis Charm, but the opponent was too huge and too fast. No one could have imagined that a Fire Dragon was hiding in a corner just a dozen meters away.
The spell whistled past Sean's scales. In the chaos, one of the students unleashed an Explosion Charm, which struck Sean on the head. The massive explosion momentarily disoriented him, and rubble was scattered by the spell and the force of the impact.
However, the Fire Dragon's powerful body only caused Sean slight pain and dizziness, which made him even more annoyed.
The hard ground was plowed open by the dragon claws and barbs. The student who was closest to Sean and only had time to cast an Explosion Charm let out a half-scream of fear before being swallowed up by the dust.
One after another, the unstoppable Fire Dragon smashed into the elite contestants of Newmontgard, breaking bones and causing injuries. Two students who were slightly slower fell behind, which ironically became their advantage.
The man and woman created obstacles as they desperately ran towards the cave entrance.
Sean, who was determined to wipe out this group, was not unprepared, and no one could stop him from leaving work.
The man and woman were inspired to survive; they ran much faster than they had come, and soon they saw the glowing cave entrance in the distance.
The two men perked up and quickened their pace. However, after running only two steps, they both saw a shadow suddenly descend in front of them. Before they could even make out the shadow's appearance, they first saw a pair of round, black eyes.
"What..." Before any thought could be formed in their minds, the man and woman instantly fell into a deep sleep.
Sean, who was leisurely following behind, saw this scene and exclaimed, "Hoo—(Pudding, well done)!"
"However, these people are somewhat beyond my expectations; they actually all poured in—" Sean muttered to himself.
He had assumed these people would have left some backup plans, not just the Wampus Cat at the exit, but also other things, such as the entrance decorated with Illusion Charm...
Sean placed a plant at the cave entrance— the Stone Vine Shrub. This plant is one of the raw materials for the Stillness Potion. When not triggered, it curls up into a haystack-like shape and hangs on the surface of the rock. Once triggered, it slowly extends into a flat surface, and its hard vines will turn into something like rock.
Sean cast Illusion Charm on the Stone Vine Shrub, making it invisible. Once everyone entered the cave, the Wampus Cat would trigger this easily provoked plant.
Therefore, if any of them manage to slip through Pudding's defenses, they will crash headfirst into the 'rocks' formed by the Stone Vine Shrub. Given their speed just now, being knocked unconscious would be the best-case scenario...
Sean obtained these rather rare plants from Alta Mistiltein, the Herbology Class professor in Newmontgard. He took some time to help the professor soothe the unruly Lion-tailed Vine growing in his office and ended up with a few interesting little plants.
"Connections are really useful..." Sean thought to himself, then slammed his paw into the corner.
A student who had been unconscious appeared out of thin air.
"I've been counting the number of people the whole time. The Disillusionment Charm doesn't work on me, and the cave is full of Shadow Bug with my magical mark, so I can't hide..." After dealing with the last unlucky guy, Sean transformed into human form.
Just now, after transforming into Fire Dragon, he could have easily refrained from emitting a dragon's roar to more covertly ambush the contestants, but Sean did it anyway, just to give the outsiders a signal.
To be precise, it was to send a signal to Grindelwald that he believed there was still some tacit understanding between them.
Outside the cave, the students on the stands were anxiously watching the center of the field. For some reason, everyone had entered the cave, and then the roar of the Fire Dragon was heard. Unable to see what was happening, they could only worry anxiously.
Professor Goodman's usually calm and collected face was now grave. He didn't know the details, but judging from the current situation, the Fire Dragon in the cave had been enraged, yet not a single student had escaped.
"These idiots..." Professor Goodman cursed under his breath, and prepared to set off to rescue them.
Just as he raised his wand to Apparition, he felt a burning sensation on the back of his right hand.
Goodman quickly looked down and saw a Deathly Hallows symbol wriggling and emerging on the back of his hand. Below the symbol, one of his veins had ruptured, and blood flowed onto his skin, forming a line of small words.
"No need to intervene. This is just a small test for me. They will be fine."
Lord Grindelwald ... Goodman's expression turned solemn. This was the way the Saints communicated, or rather, only a few confidants were qualified to have this mark implanted.
As the blood slowly returned to its source, the small wound on the back of his hand healed on its own, and at the same time, the mark of the Deathly Hallows gradually faded until it disappeared completely.
This was all arranged by Lord Grindelwald... No wonder none of those students got hurt before... Goodman felt relieved and quickly put his wand back to his side.
Inside the cave, Sean dug the unconscious students out of the rocks and dust and piled them together. The huge Fire Dragon frowned in a human-like manner.
"Should I drug him or not..." Sean hesitated.
He was deeply impressed by a scene from "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" that he had seen before—the venom of the Swooping Evil, when diluted, could erase people's bad memories.
Knowing this, Sean naturally couldn't help but test it out, since he happened to possess a Swooping Evil.
The considerate Dave didn't even ask for extra food and obediently let Sean squeeze his butt. Through numerous experiments and communications with Newt, Sean obtained several bottles of ' Oblivion Water ' that could erase bad memories.
Fortunately, this stuff doesn't require any other ingredients; you just need to dilute it according to the ratio. Otherwise, with Sean's Potions talent, he probably wouldn't be able to make it now.
At this moment, Sean was torn between using the ' Oblivion Water ' on the students. He worried that someone with ulterior motives might later connect the abnormality of the Hungarian Horntail to Sean's Animagus form.
This not only means losing a means of scheming against others, but also risks being sent to Azkaban.
However, Sean had always trusted Grindelwald's mind. Since the other party had asked him to take action, he must have considered these situations and should have made the necessary preparations.
So far, Professor Goodman, who is in charge of supervision, has not Apparition into the cave, which means that Grindelwald did indeed notify the other party.
After hesitating for a moment, Sean decided not to use the ' Oblivion Water '. After all, if everyone who entered the cave lost their memories, it would only arouse suspicion from those with ulterior motives.
Outside the cave, the students grew even more anxious. Not a single student appeared at the cave entrance after the dragon's roar, while Professor Goodman, who was in charge of the rescue, remained motionless.
Just then, a deafening dragon roar rang out again, and to everyone's astonishment, the contestants who had just entered the cave were violently swept out by a dragon's tail like broken sacks.
All the contestants had their eyes closed, and many of them had their arms or legs bent into strange positions.
The students covered their mouths, and one of them said in a trembling voice, "Are they all... all dead?"
They saw Professor Goodman quickly teleport to the side of the contestants whose fates were unknown, and after checking on them, he waved for the medical team to take them away.
"He doesn't seem to be dead? I saw the white light of healing magic."
"He must have fallen into a coma."
"Total annihilation... Is this the terrifying aspect of the Fire Dragon...?"
The Hogwarts students were even more shocked. They looked at each other, seeing the disbelief in their companions' eyes.
Is this Newmontgard...? A school tournament this fiercely contested? No wonder they always manage to win the Triwizard Cup...
In the center of the area, Professor Goodman did not turn away; he glanced at the dark cave entrance.
There were only injuries, no life-threatening danger... It was indeed Lord Grindelwald's arrangement. I wonder what the origin of that Fire Dragon was; perhaps Lord Grindelwald tamed it?
He looked around, preparing to loudly announce the official end of the challenge.
After all, all the athletes are currently receiving treatment.
Just then, a leisurely figure strolled over from a distance.
Goodman saw the person who had arrived and frowned strangely.
Oh right, and there's also this second-year student from Hogwarts — Sean Wallerup —who's been holed up in a corner and hasn't moved since the start of the competition.
He didn't mean to look down on the other party at all. After the spell of the Protego Diabolica, Goodman already understood the boy's position in Lord Grindelwald's heart.
"Mr. Wallop, you are the last contestant. Do you wish to continue the challenge?" he asked.
"Give it a try?" ' Sean ' said with a smile.
"Alright, be careful." Goodman nodded. Instead of Apparition, he retreated to the open space.
He wouldn't be surprised by what someone Lord Grindelwald valued was capable of—but protection was still necessary.
Goodman decided that he would intervene immediately if Sean were in danger!
The students in the stands also saw this scene. Oh right, it wasn't a complete wipeout; there was still one last contestant.
"Wallerup... is he going to use that spell?"
"I don't know, but nobody knows the nature of that curse, and he's only a second-year student, facing a terrifying Fire Dragon that just wiped out a team of upperclassmen..."
Hermione and Daisy looked at each other at the same time.
"Is that Sean? Or is someone in disguise? The Illusion Charm couldn't be that precise..."
"I don't know, but that Hungarian Horntail must be Sean —could he have secretly mastered some kind of spell that allows him to create clones?"
"Don't be silly, there's no such curse..."
While the students in the stands were discussing, ' Sean ' walked to the cave entrance and raised his wand.
Everyone held their breath, waiting for the last remaining member to make his next move.
"Pointing to oneself? What kind of magic is that?"
"Status spells? The kind that resist fire? That won't withstand the Breath Attack of Fire Dragon."
Sean, standing at the cave entrance, cleared his throat and then let out a loud sound.
"Come here!"
The students in the stands nearly collapsed.
"Sonorus Charm... What does this guy want?!"
"Taunting the Fire Dragon with a loud spell? Want to die even faster?"
Inside the cave, Sean also heard the voice. He sighed inwardly, naturally understanding the meaning contained in the voice that belonged to him.
Do I still have to play along... or am I just acting out a scene with myself...?
Sighing, Sean walked out of the cave and saw the little guy in front of him, a little guy exactly like himself.
Turns out, his smile actually looks pretty infuriating... Sean sighed inwardly, then looked up at the sky and roared.
If you're going to act, go all the way; if you're going to do something, love it!
The roar of the Fire Dragon sent chills down the students' spines; they could hardly imagine what it would feel like for Sean to stand in front of it.
"Why isn't Wallerup making a move? What's he up to?!"
"The Fire Dragon has bowed its head! Merlin's beard!"
Sean lowered his head and looked at his other self.
Grindelwald's whisper reached his ears.
"You know what to do, right, Sean?"
Just pretend you're convinced...
Grindelwald winked at him. "No need to thank me, it's Sean Wallerup who earned these accolades."
"This old man... "Sean sighed.
Doesn't this reveal that he has a high Magical Creature Affinity? Although a few people know this, most people still don't, and those who are observant will immediately think of his previous "Occamy Emerges from Cave" spell.
All of this was just to show off, and it wasn't even him who was showing off!
Grindelwald seemed to know what Sean was thinking, and his whisper came immediately.
"Don't worry, a true king should stand under the gaze of the people, and the more you show yourself, the higher your reputation will be—in the distant future, you will truly experience the benefits these things bring—besides, I can also do it in another way..."
After saying this, ' Sean ' took a step back and cleared his throat again.
"Roar—" A childish and unfamiliar dragon roar came from his mouth.
"Wallerup, he's a Dragon Speaker!" The students in the stands were stunned.
Dragon Speaker my ass... Of course Sean, who is currently a Fire Dragon, can understand dragon language. Grindelwald is just imitating the sound. If you have to say, the sound the other party made was probably cursing him.
"You idiot..."
Sean suppressed his inner turmoil, put on a slightly wary expression, and then slowly lowered his body.
"Look, Wallerup really is Dragon Speaker! That Fire Dragon understood him!"
Grindelwald's whisper reached Sean's ears again.
"You were slightly wary, but you still demonstrated the effect of my dragon language. You acted just like a real Fire Dragon. Not bad acting, kid."
My acting is worse than yours, you crazy old man!
To everyone's astonishment, ' Sean ' gently placed his hand on the head of the Hungarian Horntail.
"He succeeded! The Fire Dragon didn't attack him!"
Professor Goodman appeared calm and serious, was quick to notice something. He raised one hand and announced loudly.
"The winner of this challenge is Sean Wallerup!"
