New Students Arrive
When Diango Rubio left Six Mulberry Street, his forced smile vanished instantly.
This was the first family he chose, but the admissions staff at Newmontgard were a whole day ahead of him?!
This made him feel tense, which was originally a pleasant and relaxed mood. He wondered if he would end up spending the whole day following in other people's footsteps.
With this in mind, Diongo immediately quickened his pace, walked to a corner where no one was paying attention, and then Apparition toward his next destination.
Many other Admissions Officer sent by the Wizarding Welfare Organization also encountered the same predicament. Full of confidence to complete the task assigned by the big boss, they were intercepted by others before they even saw the target of the task.
The originally easy task suddenly became urgent, even though Sean did not specify that everyone had to be brought back to Hogwarts.
Inside the castle, the side hall next to the entrance to the Great Hall had already been beautifully decorated.
Although things were urgent and had to be done quickly, the necessary sense of ceremony still had to be prepared for the new students. Professor McGonagall decorated the gray-white side hall in a very cozy way, and Hagrid even brought over several of the original Christmas trees, which were then redecorated to create new decorations.
In the side hall, Professor McGonagall, dressed in a formal gown, was already waiting, and Sean, also dressed in a formal Wizard Robes, stood beside her.
"This is the first time I've welcomed new students like this..." Professor McGonagall adjusted her glasses, looking somewhat helpless.
Professor McGonagall wasn't the type to focus on rituals and pomp, but she was passionate about preserving the classic traditions, believing it to be a way to maintain the profound atmosphere of Hogwarts.
Sean chuckled and said, "For new students, it's a first time no matter what kind of enrollment method they take. And for both them and for Hogwarts, the most important thing is to help a new little wizard grow into someone who can stand on his own."
Professor McGonagall smiled upon hearing this, "Yes, yes, that's the most important thing."
The two chatted in the side hall, occasionally discussing their experiences with Transfiguration, and time passed quickly.
However, no one appeared in the side hall, even though time passed quickly.
Professor McGonagall frowned. "Could something have happened? That's impossible. Professor Dumbledore specifically activated teleportation permissions within the school to prevent accidents. The acceptance letters, which serve as Portkey, were all handmade by him. There's a warning if they're lost, and they can even identify the user to some extent during teleportation..."
Sean glanced at his watch and said, "According to the information I've received, the first batch of Admissions Officer left two hours ago. Normally, even if the parents are quite wary, if they follow the instructions you gave me, it shouldn't take that long to persuade them..."
He's a little uncertain now.
Lupin is trustworthy, so there's no need to worry about any problems with these Admissions Officer. The only possible issues are during their journey or with the students' families.
But there are more than one or two Admissions Officer. Lupin told Sean that he would send at least ten people out for each batch. Surely there can't be problems with all of them, right?
Just as Sean was about to head to the Room of Requirement and then use the Vanishing Cabinet to check on Lupin, a commotion broke out in the center of the side hall.
Space distorted, and a small vortex rapidly expanded. Then, a bewildered young boy appeared in the side hall, clutching an acceptance letter tightly in his right hand and a large suitcase in his left, looking completely disoriented.
"Oh, a new student? Welcome to Hogwarts." Sean breathed a sigh of relief and greeted him with a smile.
"Oh, oh, hello, sir." The little boy, clearly born into the Muggle Family, looked both surprised and flustered. He kept glancing furtively at Sean and Professor McGonagall, and occasionally taking a curious look at the magnificent side hall.
Sean picked up a piece of parchment and said with a smile, "Don't be nervous. This is a very normal thing for wizards. I think the Admissions Officer has already explained it to you and your family, right?"
The little boy nodded nervously, swallowing hard. "Yes, yes."
"That's good. Oh, I almost forgot. Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Sean Wallerup, and I'm a fourth-year Ravenclaw student, in charge of some of the coordination for this enrollment. And that one—" Sean turned to the side and raised his hand to introduce, "Is Professor Minerva McGonagall, the Vice Principal of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and Wizardry and the Transfiguration Professor McGonagall. You should see her signature on the letter you saw."
Professor McGonagall nodded to the new students.
It can only be said that even though she could restrain her imposing aura, Professor McGonagall was still quite "destructive" to the young wizards.
The little boy stood up straight as if he'd been electrocuted. "Y-hello, Professor McGonagall! My name is Claude McKinning!"
Professor McGonagall nodded and smiled, though the smile only made Claude more nervous.
"Alright, alright, don't worry," Sean patted him reassuringly on the shoulder. "I hope that over the next seven years, you can treat Hogwarts as your second home and reap what you want. Now, experience the magic of the Magical World."
Upon hearing the mention of "the wonders of the Magical World," Claude immediately turned his head, looking at Sean with a mixture of anticipation and fear.
Sean clapped his hands, and after a loud bang, a House-elves wearing a pillowcase with the Hogwarts emblem appeared on the spot.
"It is my pleasure to serve you, esteemed Mr. Wallop!" The House-elves lowered his large, bald head almost to his knees, then his bulging eyes darted around and he saw the other people.
"And you, Professor McGonagall! It's so good, so good to see you again!" His voice was particularly sharp.
"It's a pleasure to meet you too, Boris," Professor McGonagall greeted him with a smile.
Sean reached out and patted the House-elves known as Boris on the shoulder. "Boris, we're old friends, no need to be so polite. I've sneaked into the kitchen so many times to steal food... Oh, Professor McGonagall, can you pretend I didn't say that?"
Professor McGonagall adjusted her glasses with feigned authority. "Mr. Wallop, sneaking into the kitchen to eat is against school rules..."
Suddenly, as they were talking, Boris screamed, "No, no, no, Professor McGonagall! It was Boris invited Mr. Wallop to his home; he didn't sneak in! Bad Boris, bad Boris! Please punish me!"
Professor McGonagall rubbed her temples, looking exasperated. "Boris, I hardly ever crack a joke..."
Sean burst out laughing. "Dude, Professor McGonagall is just joking with me. You don't have to be like that. Besides, didn't we already say, friend, no need to be so formal—oh, by the way, let's get to know our new students."
Led was startled by the sudden appearance of the House-elves, but seeing how familiar Sean was with him, he felt a little more at ease.
He mustered his courage and extended a hand. "Hello, Mr. Boris, my name is Claude McKinning, you can call me Claude. I am a freshman at Hogwarts, and it's very nice to meet you."
Then, he saw the House-elves in front of him scream, its wrinkled face making an extremely exaggerated expression, its huge round eyes seeming to show great surprise and amazement.
"My God! My God!" Boris exclaimed, "What an honor it is that the esteemed wizard would shake hands with a lowly Boris!"
I always said Hermione's idea of freeing House-elves has a very long way to go...
Sean shook his head helplessly and gestured to the panicked Claude that it was nothing to worry about.
Boris cautiously and excitedly shook hands with Claude briefly, then let out a scream.
"It would be my pleasure! It would be my pleasure! I will keep your belongings safe!"
After saying that, he picked up Claude's suitcase and disappeared from the spot.
Sean shrugged at Claude: "That's how most House-elves are. You'll get to know them better as you go on... Oh, by the way, over there."
He pointed to a small door in the corner of the side hall and then snapped his fingers.
A small note with Claude McKinning written on it popped out and was then wrapped around the little boy's finger.
"Go there and change into your Wizard Robes. This little note will lead you to the dressing room with a robe in your size. Oh, and by the way, just leave your clothes there. The House-elves will take them to your dorm along with your suitcase."
"Okay, okay." Claude looked at his fingers in surprise, then raised them up and went into the small room by the side door like a torchbearer.
Sean turned around and caught the smile on Professor McGonagall's face.
He also flashed a bright white smile, "Professor, is this one of the reasons you became a teacher?"
Professor McGonagall nodded. "Yes, looking at the new shoots, whether they are panicked or curious and amazed, always gives me a feeling that I am going to lead these naive beginners to a bigger world. This feeling makes me proud and fascinated."
Sean nodded in agreement, then clapped his hands. "At least the first freshman has arrived. It seems the timing is uncertain; we may have overlooked the time for the freshmen to prepare their luggage and say goodbye to their parents."
Professor McGonagall agreed, "Yes, that's not comprehensive enough. Mr. McKinning's luggage alone will take a lot of time to prepare, and after all, they are only eleven years old, the oldest being twelve."
"Yes, but in the future, there should be more and more students."
Sure enough, just as Sean had said, as Claude stood nervously to one side after changing into his Wizard Robes, two new students were teleported over by the Portkey.
They all wore the same expression as when Claude first arrived. As the person in charge of welcoming the new students, Sean greeted them with an elegant smile.
Although it wasn't exactly a great job, Sean himself had some ulterior motives.
Everyone says you have to start from childhood... Sean decided that he would start selecting young wizards he would value from now on.
Yes, he has already begun preparing to develop his own power.
It's not about becoming king in Hogwarts, nor is it about organizing a Wizarding Army in the future.
However, Sean felt that he needed a group of young people with sufficient ability and the same goals.
He didn't want to change the world, nor did he want to go to war with anyone, much less to unify the world and become its dictator. Sean simply wanted the world to become a better place.
He didn't know if his thoughts at this moment would change in the future... but Sean knew that if he didn't do it, it would be too late when he needed it in the future.
In the Wizarding World today, the Ministry of Magic is rotten to the core. Barty Crouch, who replaced Fudge, was first controlled by his own son. After Barty Jr.. disappeared, Old Barty. did not change. In Sean's eyes, he was still just a tool.
Moreover, even if he wasn't just a tool, Sean didn't think he could bring about any groundbreaking reforms.
In particular, the top brass of the British Ministry of Magic is now basically controlled by the Returners. Sean estimates that part of it is magical control, and part of it is willing cooperation.
How can Sean trust such an official institution? Even if the problem of the Returners is resolved soon, will the British Ministry of Magic be any better?
Sean doesn't think so.
Furthermore, not only the Ministry of Magic, but the entire social system of the Wizarding World has problems, even Hogwarts, which is known as a young and prestigious school.
Frankly speaking, in Sean's eyes, Hogwarts ' education system also has flaws.
In many ways, as a School of Magic, Hogwarts has preserved the medieval teaching model of an old wizard guiding a young wizard. Although Hogwarts has undergone many reforms over the past thousand years, in Sean's eyes, it is far from enough.
To change all this, we must start with the youngest group of wizards.
Sean had already decided that this orientation was a great opportunity for him to make a lasting impression on all the new students.
Next up is the Transfiguration. Professor McGonagall has already explained that she will be responsible for teaching the first-year students after they enroll.
Sean plans to subtly incorporate some of his own personal insights into his Transfiguration...
It's time for the Golden Dawn to grow even stronger.
The bewildered freshmen walked into the cloakroom one by one amidst Sean's smile, changed into Wizard Robes, and stood in a row, feeling both awkward and expectant.
As time went on, more and more new students came to the side hall, and the nervous young wizards became more lively with the increase in companions.
"Yes, go in. Don't worry, there are many dressing rooms inside. My note will guide you... Um, is there anything I can help you with?"
A little girl tugged at Sean's sleeve. "Hello, Mr. Wallop, Mr. Diongo Ruvio, who came to recruit students, asked me to give this to the person in charge at Hogwarts."
"Oh, okay, thank you."
