Asura Field in the Room of Requirement
Polite, gentle, and with good manners and a handsome appearance, coupled with sufficient ability and an excellent mind, Sean is mostly able to handle various situations with ease. In the eyes of his friends, teachers, and others, he is also a trustworthy person who can remain calm in the face of adversity.
But Sean swears he's never been so embarrassed, so embarrassed he doesn't know what to say.
The Room of Requirement always adapts to the needs of its visitors. For Sean and Hermione Daisy, all they needed was a space to practice magic, a few comfortable velvet mats and cushions, and some normal furnishings.
At this moment, in the middle of this magical house, four people sat cross-legged on a carpet of a color chosen by Hermione, and on a small table chosen by Daisy was an exquisite magical cake with a silver-white miniature Unicorn running merrily on it.
The four people are obvious: Sean, Hermione, Daisy, and Stephanie.
When the wooden door was knocked, the three people inside knew that the visitor could only be Stephanie —but they couldn't just not open the door, could they?
When Stephanie entered the Room of Requirement, she saw Sean immediately and said—
"Good evening, Sean. Could I have your home phone number? I'd like to contact you during summer vacation..."
The girl didn't finish her sentence because she saw Hermione and Daisy behind Sean.
Stephanie didn't have many interactions with the two girls, but they were special enough that she used her access to the Room of Requirement to take Hermione and Daisy outside the castle during the last duel between Sean and Max Dawson.
Of course, she also witnessed Daisy's emotional breakdown and the silver Fire Dragon that was tens of meters long.
In addition, she saw Hermione's facial expressions the whole time.
This was something Sean was unaware of; the three girls, very tacitly, hadn't mentioned it to Sean.
When Stephanie's unfinished words fell to the floor of the Room of Requirement, the room fell into a very brief but complete silence.
"Good evening, Granger. Good evening, Potter."
Stephanie's strengths were on full display; with no expression, she looked no different from usual, calm and composed.
"Good evening, Miss Ollivander." Hermione was taken aback at first, then immediately greeted her.
Daisy blinked. "Tonight, Miss Ollivander, you can call me Daisy if you don't mind."
This would have been a reasonably normal start—if Hermione and Daisy hadn't seen the cake Stephanie was holding.
Next to the delicate little cake were two sets of cutlery, making it clear at a glance who Stephanie wanted to share it with.
Sean hadn't expected Stephanie to appear like this. He almost instinctively wanted to turn around and see Daisy and Hermione's expressions, but he used immense willpower to forcefully stop himself from turning his neck.
"Well, good evening, Stephanie," Sean said.
Just as the name "Stephanie" was called out, Sean wondered if he was imagining things, but he felt as if a knife was being stabbed at his back...
Stephanie displayed a fluent speech that Sean had never seen before, despite rarely speaking to others in her daily life.
"Hermione, Daisy, you're here too! I brought a cake, would you like to eat together?"
She also very naturally summoned two more sets of cutlery.
And then, this is the scene we see now.
Sean sat up straight, not knowing why he was so nervous.
Stealing a glance to the left, Stephanie was gracefully kneeling on the cushion, her hands crossed on her knees, looking completely at ease.
I glanced furtively to my right, and there stood Hermione, equally ramrod straight, holding "The Collection of Greedy Poet's Stories."
Further to the right is Little White Flower. Logically speaking, there are four people sitting around this not-so-large table, Daisy should be sitting opposite Sean.
But she clung to Hermione more closely than usual, putting some distance between herself and Stephanie.
The four people remained silent, each lost in their own thoughts.
If this keeps up, I'm really going to dig a whole Hogwarts Castle out of my toes...
Sean blinked hard, then broke the silence first.
"It's getting late. How about we have some cake and then everyone go home to rest?"
Hermione gently opened and closed the book in her hands. "I just finished my exams and don't have much to do. I've been staying up late lately."
Daisy immediately chimed in, "Yeah, yeah, we've finally relaxed, how can we just go to sleep so easily? It feels like such a waste."
"Oh, really..." Sean chuckled awkwardly.
Stephanie's bangs fell down a bit, obscuring her eyes.
The Silver-haired Girl stood up gently and said in a soft voice, "I just wanted to deliver the cake. That's enough. I'll be going now. Enjoy it. I hope you like it."
After saying that, Stephanie turned around and walked towards the exit.
Sean stared blankly at Stephanie as she left. This girl just came to deliver a cake?
"Then I'll see you off..." Sean was about to get up when Hermione pulled him down forcefully.
The brown-haired girl's voice was the same as usual, only with an added warmth, "Let's eat together, Stephanie. Exams are over, there's no need to go to bed so early, is there?"
Daisy then became Hermione's echo, "Yeah, yeah, hehe, just consider it as falling into depravity with us."
Sean turned his head, even more confused. Weren't you guys not very welcoming to Stephanie? Why have you suddenly changed your minds? She was about to leave to rest, and now you're trying to persuade her to come back?
Hermione turned her head with lightning speed and glared fiercely at Sean, then immediately turned back and put on a faint smile.
Miss Granger, even my spells can't change my expression as fast as you...
To Sean's surprise, Stephanie, who had never liked socializing, readily agreed and turned to look at the group.
"If you don't find it intrusive."
"Of course not, come on, let's eat together," Hermione said.
"Yes, yes, how could we just eat the cake you sent?" Daisy said.
Once Stephanie returned to her seat, Hermione straightened up and picked up her knife and fork.
"I'll divide it up—"
Sean almost showed a look of horror. Although Hermione was a very organized and methodical person, she wasn't someone who cared much about rituals in her daily life.
Normally, she would have just scooped it up with a spoon in this situation—and while she was at it, she would have scolded Little White Flower, the dessert fanatic, for eating too fast.
The cake was divided into four pieces, and Sean could tell their sizes just by looking at them.
Stephanie's portion was the largest, followed by Sean's, which was slightly larger Daisy Sean's, while Hermione's was the smallest.
It's like a cake that was originally Little White Flower into four equal parts. Hermione had the most equal part, but Hermione divided her own part into two parts, giving the larger part to Stephanie and the smaller part to Sean.
The only odd thing was that the miniature Unicorn, which was supposed to be used as decoration, was still running happily in mid-air after the cake was broken, seemingly tireless.
The group of people, each holding a cake, focused their attention on the miniature Unicorn.
Stephanie pulled out her odd pale blue wand and explained softly, "This decoration was already there when the cake shop delivered it, and it looks like it was enchanted with magic."
As she spoke, she waved her wand, and the miniature Unicorn opened its mouth and let out a silent hiss, then happily ran in circles into the air.
Its silhouette faded rapidly, then silver specks of light scattered down, forming a pattern.
It looks like a sunflower?
Before Sean could even make out the shape of the pattern, Stephanie waved her wand again, and all the silver dots vanished instantly.
"Try it."
She put away her wand and then spoke calmly.
"Hmm, hmm, have a try." Hermione smiled.
Sean turned his head in surprise. He knew Hermione all too well, and the girl's suddenly rapid breathing sounded a little strange to him.
Did you accidentally bump into the table?
However, Sean didn't say anything; he had finally seen things more clearly by now.
In today's situation, the more I say, the more mistakes I'll make.
Let's just have some rice...
He silently stuffed cake into his mouth, then discreetly rubbed the ring on his upper right hand.
"Dave? Dave? Stop playing with the Aero-Wing Bird in there. You two are already silly. Silly people playing together won't have the effect of two negatives making a positive, it will only have the effect of one plus one being far greater than two. Hurry up."
"They're here, they're here. What's up, Sean? And what's this 'silly'?"
"You and the Aero-Wing Bird are such idiots. Can't you two learn from the Thunderbird family? Look at how composed they are!"
"Huh? But the third and fourth brothers almost got into a fight with the Little Selma Lake Monster yesterday when they were catching fish. It was the Basilisk brother who persuaded them to go back."
Thunderbird and the Selma Lake Monster are fighting, and the Basilisk is acting as a peacemaker—something seems off about this...
Sean suppressed his urge to complain and ordered, "Sneak out of the ring and go back to your old spot. I need your help."
Suddenly, a whole bunch of "heave-ho, heave-ho—" and "huff huff—" popped into Dave's mind.
Then, "I can't squeeze out, it's too small. Open the opening wider, Sean."
I'd like to unleash my ultimate skill, but wouldn't everyone notice if I did...?
"This is the limit. Why don't you turn into Thorn Sheath first, and then let Pudding or someone else push you from inside?"
Another attempt.
"No, it's too small, I can't squeeze through... Are you having any trouble?"
"I don't know if this counts as trouble," Sean muttered to himself, "Why don't you try to smell the brains of other people around me through the ring?"
"Sure," Dave replied matter-of-factly.
Sean was overjoyed. "That's good. Quick, smell it! Smell it! See what these girls around me are thinking!"
"Sean," Dave sighed sheepishly, a hint of helplessness in his voice, "I can only smell the brains and use that smell to determine if the person has experienced any significant changes in their memory recently. I can't read minds."
"Ah—" Dave suddenly exclaimed, as if taking a deep breath, "The brains of the people around you smell so good, I'm hungry."
"What use are you! Go back and play with that idiot. Tonight, both of you will have your food rations halved."
"Ah?!"
Sean reluctantly closed the ring. He had originally wanted to use Dave's ability to smell the brains of these girls to see if there was anything different about them.
As a result, this guy was of no use at all—as a mature, mutated Swooping Evil, you haven't even evolved the ability to read minds?
Sean unconsciously stuffed the cake into his mouth, and by the time he finished eating, he still couldn't taste anything.
Meanwhile, the three girls chatted casually while eating dessert, their conversation revolving around everyday occurrences within the castle, such as Goyle getting beaten up by another suit of armor, Fred and George outwitting Filch, and Harry leading the Gryffindor Quidditch team to victory in this year's house Quidditch Cup, which had only been held for half a year—albeit indoors.
Stephanie mostly acted as a listener, occasionally chiming in with a word or two.
"Yes, I've heard of that too."
"So that's how it is."
"Hehe, this is really interesting."
The embarrassment was off the charts.
However, apart from Sean, who was already digging his feet into the villa, the other three girls did not show any awkwardness. They were just chatting about common girl topics like a typical group of girls.
There wasn't even a hint of gunpowder.
Sean had already finished eating, wasn't going to join in. He scooped at the air with his spoon, pretending there was still cake on his plate.
The conversation shifted from the interesting things that happened in the castle and the professors' tempers to their personalities and habits, and then to the recent romantic relationships of the students.
"Percy is graduating this year, and I heard he and Penelope have been having some disagreements lately."
"Really? Haven't they always had a good relationship?"
"Do you know Cedric of Hufflepuff? He's with Cho Chang of Ravenclaw."
"Ah, I've heard about that too."
The inexplicable topic of relationships made Sean too afraid to even breathe. None of these people liked gossip, but why were they chatting so... harmoniously?
Time passed much longer Sean had imagined. Finally, after a pointless conversation, Stephanie spoke up, saying, "It's getting late, shouldn't we go and rest?"
Sean glanced at his watch; it was already midnight, more than three hours had passed—though he felt like three days had gone by.
"Hmm, that's about right."
Then, the group just watched, and no one got up.
Sean stood up and looked at the group strangely. Daisy, with a mournful face, said, "My legs are numb from kneeling like that..."
Sean: "..."
Hermione: "..."
Stephanie: "..."
Only after Sean cast a spell on them did the three girls stand up.
Hermione's face flushed slightly, and even Stephanie, who was usually expressionless, blushed a little.
"At least tonight's going to end soon..." Sean thought to himself.
Then, Stephanie turned to look at Sean.
"By the way, Sean, could I have your home phone number?"
