The Young Master's Unspeakable Secret
Pablo, who already had sharp eyes, had been watching Malfoy closely. After noticing the other man's subtle movements, he sneered inwardly.
Sure enough, this kid deliberately got someone to help him create an alibi.
They can't find any flaws in you personally, but your little helper is getting impatient...
Pablo gave Sean a cold look, his face radiating the pride of a victor.
The others present were all astute individuals, and upon noticing Malfoy's subtle facial expression, they immediately realized the same thing.
Professor McGonagall glanced at Sean with a complicated expression. Had this guy really gone to steal a dragon? But where did that Hungarian Horntail that attacked the MacFasty family come from?
Professor Bagman frowned. He knew the Malfoy Family ' young master, of course, but he didn't expect the boy to help Sean with this kind of favor—wait, wouldn't he be tricked?
However, he did not rush to succumb to the overwhelming feeling of being deceived; he simply took a half-step back from where he was standing next to Sean.
Grindelwald's expression remained unchanged as he lazily extended his hand. "Mr. Malfoy, the wand."
Malfoy's face grew even paler. He gripped his wand tightly and then stole a glance at Sean.
"You're too impatient. Now, even without the Prior Incantato, everyone has seen that you and Wallerup were in cahoots..." Pablo thought to himself.
However, Wallerup is indeed capable; if no one had reminded him, he wouldn't have thought of finding Malfoy to create a breakthrough...
But now, hmph...
"I... I have the right to keep my wand from being inspected... I haven't broken the law!" Malfoy raised his neck, trying to make himself look proud.
Grindelwald said calmly, "We are cooperating with the investigation now, and both the Ministry of Magic of this country and the International Confederation of Wizards have the right to inspect wizards' wands, including those used with the Prior Incantato."
"But... but that's my privacy!" Malfoy said, forcing himself to speak.
Grindelwald glanced at the smug Pablo, stroked his chin, and then curled the corner of his mouth into a smile, "Well then, you join the bet... If the Prior Incantato checks out and finds nothing wrong, then the MacFasty family will also have to compensate you..."
He glanced at Pablo, who seemed inexplicably guilty, but then, recalling his intelligence and the expression on Malfoy's face earlier, his confidence returned.
"Of course, sir!" Pablo exclaimed. "But, on the contrary?"
Grindelwald shrugged. "It's simple. Mr. Malfoy is an accomplice to a series of illegal acts, including the theft of the Fire Dragon and the unauthorized domestication of dangerous animals. Well, I'll personally take him to the trial."
"No problem," Pablo immediately agreed.
Sending Malfoy to prison is pointless, but I can use the Ministry of Magic's laws to extort a hefty sum from Lucius Malfoy, probably even more than I could from losing those two Fire Dragon —no, after capturing Wallerup, I can get the Fire Dragon back just the same way.
Upon hearing the two discuss this, Malfoy's face turned completely pale. His lips moved slightly, as if he wanted to say a few more words.
However, Grindelwald didn't give him another chance to speak. With a gentle wave of his hand, Malfoy's wand flew out of his hand amidst his exclamation and landed in Grindelwald's hand.
"To show fairness," Grindelwald said, tossing Malfoy's wand to Pablo.
Pablo's eyes lit up. His biggest concern was that Grindelwald was biased, given the rumors that Sean Wallerup was Gellert Grindelwald's protégé.
But if the wand were in my own hands...
"Mr. Chairman, you are as fair as ever." He flattered him, then gave Sean a defiant look.
However, he did not see any panic or gloom on the other person's face. In fact, the latter was dozing off against the wall with his eyes slightly closed.
Sean's demeanor made him somewhat uncertain, but he quickly reaffirmed his belief—this guy was very clever; he was trying to use this posture to show his innocence so that he would abandon the agreement witnessed by Grindelwald.
When the curse flashes back, you'll be crying...
"Prior Incantato!" He eagerly pulled out his wand.
Students don't use spells very often. Outside of class time, very few people use spells, so normally, it wouldn't take many spells to flash back to last night's situation.
After a few minor spells, a scene suddenly appeared.
The flashback scene was from the first-person perspective of the staff tip, showing a patch of sparse golden hair covered with a thick layer of potion.
"Pfft, Hair-Regrowth Charm, and it's even paired with Harry's magical shampoo..." Sean couldn't help but laugh out loud.
How could his face not turn pale? His unspeakable secret has been made public, no wonder, no wonder... I thought Malfoy's acting skills had improved dramatically...
Malfoy's face flushed red. He glared fiercely at Sean, then turned his hateful gaze to Pablo.
Pablo ignored the two men's gazes, but a bad feeling rose in his heart.
Malfoy it be because of this...?
He calmed himself down and continued flashbacks.
Soon, the scene shifted to a person: Hugo Barbarossa, whose wand was trembling.
Immediately afterward, just as Malfoy fired, Mr. Bagman appeared, followed closely by Sean.
Mr. Bagman's eyes widened as he saw Sean slightly turn his head and notice the spell. He then shoved Sean away, but was unfortunately struck by the spell himself!
The only thing left on the screen was Sean's pained face as he knelt on the ground.
That's Intestinal Cramp Curse.
Pablo was struck dumb, frozen in place.
"How... how could this be..." he murmured absentmindedly.
Mr. Bagman immediately jumped out. "Mr. Grindelwald! I told you, Mr. Wallop is innocent, he took the curse for me! This man is completely framing and slandering me!"
"Deletrius!" Grindelwald casually waved his hand, ending the Prior Incantato and returning the wand to Malfoy.
He chuckled softly. "The results are in now, Mr. MacFusty."
Pablo's pupils contracted sharply several times, and he stammered, "This is impossible... He... he must have secretly used the Shield Charm..."
Professor McGonagall couldn't hold back any longer. She angrily rebuked him, "Mr. MacFusty! Do you think everyone here is blind? You have slandered my students in this way, and I will hold you accountable!"
Sean, who had been trying to suppress his laughter, was glared at by Malfoy again. He covered his mouth, patted Malfoy's shoulder, and then wiped his face with his hand.
When he looked up again, his eyes were slightly red and his face was full of grief and indignation.
"A child's privacy has been violated like this!" he shouted, pointing at Malfoy.
Malfoy: "..."
"And so it is with me, with my dignity and my reputation!"
Sean clenched his fist forcefully and stubbornly raised his head.
"I didn't defend myself, I obeyed all the arrangements, and now the facts are before me—while before, I was subjected to verbal abuse and personal insults by this kind of person..." He pointed at Pablo with a trembling hand!
"Should good people be the ones pointed at by magic wands?!"
Sean's words were firm and resounding, while only Malfoy struggled to resist looking at him with disdain.
Mr. Bagman put his arm around Sean's shoulder. "Don't worry, Sean, I will definitely get justice for you!"
He apologized for his earlier doubts about Sean.
Professor McGonagall sighed as well, "Sean, it's my fault for not protecting you..."
Sean gave a bitter laugh, "This isn't your fault. It's because some people are abusing their power to oppress an ordinary student, and I... have no power to resist..."
Grindelwald probably couldn't stand it anymore, and he waved his hand. "Alright, that's enough."
"Sean, and Mr. Malfoy, you can go back now. As for the MacFasty family's apology..."
He glanced at the dejected Pablo.
Pablo shuddered; his instinct was to change his mind or find more excuses.
But Grindelwald's calm gaze sent a chill down his spine.
Yes, yes... the whole thing happened in the presence of Mr. Grindelwald...
He lowered his head dejectedly. "I'm very sorry... I will inform the head of the family..."
"Go ahead," Grindelwald said casually, waving his hand.
After the MacFasty family left in a daze, Sean also calmed down from his grief and anger.
"Come with me for a bit, let me cheer you up," Grindelwald waved his hand.
"Okay, good."
An old man and a young boy walked slowly, and after a while Grindelwald turned around and glanced at him with a sneer.
"You've arranged things quite well."
Sean shrugged; there was no need for him to pretend in front of Grindelwald.
"I tried to negotiate politely, but their attitude was terrible... Besides, I didn't steal a dragon. The Hebridean Black Dragon don't belong to the MacFasty family at all. To be precise, they just happen to live in the Black Dragons' habitat. They consider themselves the leaders of the Black Dragon pack, but in the eyes of the Black Dragons, they are just a group of humans from the neighborhood. They've known each other for a long time, and the dragons occasionally provide them with food, so the Fire Dragon don't attack them. That's all."
Grindelwald laughed loudly, "That's right, that's right, very insightful. These various families that have inherited their lineage always like to consider themselves the masters of all things, habitually thinking they are superior to others—but, did you deliberately send Pablo to your door?"
Sean blinked innocently. "No."
"Um?"
Even though it was just a stand-in, Sean still shuddered when Grindelwald raised his head. He couldn't help it; he'd been subjected to too many curses while learning from him...
He honestly replied, "Okay, I did it on purpose."
Grindelwald laughed heartily, "You knew I'd come?"
Sean nodded. "My intention was to cause a small accident in front of everyone, and I know you can probably guess what I was thinking—so when I went to talk to Malfoy, I deliberately gave myself away. Well, the MacFasty family and Durmstrang should have some connection. At the time, there was a fifth-year student from Durmstrang next to Malfoy and me—of course, he thought he was hiding it well."
"And then, what about the Intestinal Cramp Curse?"
Sean stretched out a hand, from which swung out a blue-green yo-yo. "The Intestinal Cramp Curse was indeed something I had to endure— Dave and I are so close, if it helped me swallow a curse, it counts as something I swallowed, right?"
A fake Intestinal Cramp Curse is easy to spot, but Sean has Dave the Swooping Evil —a small curse is almost useless against Dave's ridiculously high magic resistance.
Well, it did have some effect—this guy ate too much tonight, so it helped with digestion.
After explaining his thoughts, Sean shrugged. "If he had come to our door, I bet you would have shown up. So, if he hadn't come, he would have been lucky. If he had... there's nothing I can do about it."
For Sean, this was a convenient thing to do, and the fact that the MacFasty family had connections with Durmstrang was an unexpected bonus. Sean had only had some minor suspicions, and now they were confirmed. Of course, this was also partly due to Pablo's rudeness towards Sean; he was quite vengeful.
Grindelwald waved his hand dismissively. "Take that thing back. I hate Magical Creatures."
Then he stroked the short beard on his chin. "I hadn't noticed that before. Hmm, this gives me a good excuse to take a look around the MacFasty family."
Sean put Dave back in the inner bag and leaned against the wall. "They won't resist, will they?"
Grindelwald smiled faintly, "I hope they'd better put up a fight."
Sean: "..."
Pray for the MacFasty family...
That day, the MacFasty family left in disgrace, and Grindelwald left the campus the next day. When the news of Sean being "wrongfully accused" spread, many people came to comfort him.
Of course, Daisy and Hermione wouldn't believe his nonsense—especially since he really did have two Fire Dragon in his ring.
"I knew it was you the moment I heard 'Hungarian Horntail'," Daisy said smugly.
Hermione tapped Daisy's head as she read, "Keep your voice down."
Little White Flower stuck out her tongue, glanced at the others at the long table, then leaned closer and whispered, "Sean, could you take me to ride a real Fire Dragon next time..."
"No problem," Sean agreed with a smile.
Hermione rolled her eyes at the two of them. "Sean, you spoil her too much!"
"Two Fire Dragon, are you coming along too?"
"Since you've put it that way, I'll reluctantly agree..."
As they were talking, Professor McGonagall walked over from the Entrance Hall.
"Alright, everyone, look over here—" she said, standing among the students, "The Christmas Ball is coming soon—it's a traditional part of the Four-School Tournament, and a great opportunity for us to interact with foreign guests. The ball is only open to students in fourth grade and above—but if you'd like, you can invite a younger student—"
The students erupted in excitement, especially the girls. Lavender Brown even let out a shrill, silly laugh, which Parvati Patil nudged hard. Parvati herself was tensing her facial muscles, desperately trying to suppress her laughter. Only Sean's face stiffened slightly.
I'd forgotten about that...
It seems like some big trouble is about to happen...
