They could tell that the other party was speaking to Sean.
Sean, who had been called a polluter, stepped forward and said softly, "Can I take the water from Avalon's lake?"
A crisp snort rang out. The pitch-black giant hall before them slowly brightened, and dense dark green light swayed quietly from some unknown place, revealing the entire hall to them.
Many towering pillars stood on both sides, crooked and twisted, some reduced to only half a column. Rainbow-colored light flickered quietly across the floor near the middle, like remnants of lamps swaying in the wind. Broken steps stretched upward. Though wide enough, they were exceptionally steep, extending from the rainbow glow and ending atop an especially dense mass of dark green light.
There were many ruined divine thrones above, with a huge table at the center, though its details could not be seen from below.
The owner of the earlier voice revealed herself. She was a beautiful woman, a bronze two-handled water jug resting on her pale shoulder. There seemed to be several flaws around its mouth.
"Guardian Fairy..." Hermione murmured.
The Guardian Fairy paid no attention to anyone except Sean. She looked at him solemnly, her crisp voice carrying a heavy tone. "Polluter, do you know your crime?"
Sean smiled. "I declare myself innocent."
The solemn Guardian Fairy frowned. She widened her eyes, revealing a trace of helplessness.
Sean turned and smiled at the three girls. "Come on, let's go up and take a look."
Seeing that he had already stepped onto the stairs, the Guardian Fairy hurriedly waved her hand. "Don't move. I'm not done speaking yet!"
Sean waved back. "We can talk after we get up there. Looking up while talking makes my neck tired."
