Dai Mubai was born into the Star Luo Imperial Family as its Third Prince. His elder brother, Davis, was six years older and repeatedly beat him while growing up; despite Dai Mubai possessing slightly better talent, the age and power gap left him fearful of Davis. The abuse contributed to his volatile behavior and habit of venting anger on weaker people, damaging his reputation in Star Luo City and driving potential supporters to Davis. Unable to endure the pressure, Dai Mubai fled the empire. 38 175

The Star Luo royal family later decreed that the final Throne Seizing Battle would be settled through the Continental Advanced Soul Master Academy Elite Tournament. Dai Mubai and his fiancée, Zhu Zhuqing, were required to form a team; the winning side would gain the right to inherit the throne, while the losers faced a severe fate. 13 20

He enrolled at Shrek Academy after escaping Star Luo City. By the time Zhu Zhuqing arrived in Soto City to find him, he had developed a reputation for dalliances and was discovered flirting with twin sisters, worsening their already hostile relationship. 13 14 20

Dai Mubai is insecure, prideful, and easily provoked. His childhood under Davis's dominance left him sensitive to humiliation; when frustrated or powerless, he often redirected his anger toward weaker targets, including Ning Rongrong. 38 39 186

He is repeatedly portrayed as lustful and irresponsible, particularly in his treatment of Zhu Zhuqing. Although he tried to distance himself from Ma Hongjun's behavior and claimed to have “better taste,” Zhu Zhuqing regarded the distinction as meaningless and left in disgust. 13 37

Fear can motivate him to improve. Zhu Zhuqing's unexpectedly lethal fighting style convinced him that he needed to cultivate seriously, largely so that he would not be killed by her in the future. Conflict with Zhu Zhuqing

Zhu Zhuqing found Dai Mubai with twin sisters in Soto City and attacked him after he attempted to explain himself. Although he was physically tougher and held a ten-level Soul Power advantage, her sudden assault sent him flying. 14 15

At Shrek Academy, Dai Mubai lost control after Zhu Zhuqing called him disgusting and attacked her in his Soul Spirit Avatar. Li Ang briefly controlled Zhu Zhuqing's body, struck Dai Mubai with a dagger poisoned by ten-thousand-year Black King Snake venom, and left him near death. Shrek Academy Tensions

Dai Mubai repeatedly clashed with Zhu Zhuqing over his attitude toward women, then misdirected his anger toward Ning Rongrong. Zhu Zhuqing intervened after he blasted Ning Rongrong away with Soul Power, while Tang San mediated the confrontation. 37 39

More than a year later, Ning Rongrong challenged him to a duel. Mercenary Ambush

During the Black Beast Mercenary Group and Three Scoundrels Mercenary Group attack, Dai Mubai and Ma Hongjun were trapped inside a Soul Power Suppression Field. While fleeing, Dai Mubai carried Ma Hongjun but was knocked back into the field by Ye Zhiqiu's tortoise shell. 49 51

Ye Zhiqiu severely injured Dai Mubai and forced him out of Soul Spirit Avatar. Bu Le then struck him, and E Kao beat him half to death after Dai Mubai invoked the Star Luo Imperial Family's name. Dai Mubai reached level 40 during the preliminary competition but entered his match against Thunder Academy without a fourth Soul Ring, resulting in a one-sided defeat by Yu Tianxin. 130

After gaining a fourth Soul Ring and reaching level 41, he was not selected as Shrek Academy's team leader; Tang San was appointed instead because Dai Mubai lacked the strength and support necessary to lead the team. 134

When Zhu Zhuqing refused to accompany him, he threatened to destroy her and the Zhu Family if she left.
