Chapter Summaries

Mello’s Gladiator Beasts dismantled Kira’s Volcanic field, but Kira turned Mello’s own monsters into his true ace, Lava Golem. The chapter ended with Lava Golem appearing on Mello’s field.

• Murmillo absorbed Kaiser’s ATK and attacked Volcanic Demon, but Kira banished Kuriboh from the Graveyard to prevent its destruction while taking battle damage.

• Kira learned from Professor Daitokuji that unusual Dark Power had been detected in Domino City and decided to investigate while traveling to KaibaCorp.
• Kira flew over the city in a new glider and spotted an old acquaintance inside an abandoned building.
• Dinosaur Ryuzaki cornered a floating red Light Orb and ordered it to come with him for the Descending Sect.
• Kira crashed through the building's ceiling and confronted Ryuzaki, asking to join their encounter.

Kira encountered a mysterious spirit while Dinosaur Ryuzaki pursued it on behalf of the Descending Sect, and the two began a duel. Kira stopped Ryuzaki’s first attack with Power Wall, but the duel’s outcome remained unresolved as he prepared to send nineteen cards to the Graveyard.

• Ryuzaki confronted Kira and revealed that the Descending Sect had sent him to capture a spirit that could not remember its identity.
