Ding ding ding...
Kayson leaned back in his chair, an apron draped over him. His hands continuously kneaded a flower, quickly crushing it until only its magic-rich fibers remained.
He casually tossed the fibers into a small dish on his desk, where a small pile of magical fibers had already accumulated.
Only then did he sit up a little straighter and stretch, casually reaching out to pat the crystal ball on his desk.
For once, Dumbledore did not abruptly appear in his office through Apparition. Instead, he very humanly and properly knocked on the door.
Soon, he arrived on an ice boat.
Kayson looked at Dumbledore with an odd expression. "Go on, is there something you need my help with again?"
Dumbledore shrugged. "Couldn't I just be bored staying in the castle and come chat with you?"
"If you were really here to chat, you would've Apparated in or shown up with a phoenix to scare me by now. Would you honestly knock like this? Be so polite?" Kayson said with a curl of his lip.
"Lupin has clashed with the Malfoy family, on Privet Drive," Dumbledore said succinctly.
"...What could those two possibly be fighting over? And where is Privet Drive?" Kayson asked.
"Harry lives on Privet Drive. As for the conflict between Lupin and Malfoy, it seems Lupin had been keeping watch there because Sirius escaped Azkaban. He was there to protect Harry."
"However, while protecting Harry, he ran into Greyback, that pathetic werewolf. Lucius Malfoy was standing behind that werewolf," Dumbledore explained.
"So what were Greyback and Lucius Malfoy doing on Privet Drive? And what kind of conflict has broken out between them? Has anyone been hurt or killed?" Kayson asked, frowning.
"They're still negotiating, in Harry's home. One of my informants on Privet Drive told me."
