"This thing is pretty cool! Hey, this pattern..." Sirius leaned in, studying the inscription in Kayson's hand: a triangle at the center of a flashing trident.
"What's wrong with the inscription?"
Sirius tilted his head. "This inscription feels like it belongs to... some pretty ancient organization?"
Lu Ping leaned over as well. "It really does. It looks like the symbol of the Brotherhood of the Sacred Blood."
"...What are you talking about?" Kayson and Harry exchanged glances, then asked in confusion.
"It was an ancient magical organization, hostile toward wizards, though it should be extinct by now. As for that trident and the Drowned Ghoul holding it earlier, they were probably remnants of that organization. Maybe some unlucky wizard was captured by them and made to suffer forever like this," Sirius explained.
"There was an organization like that... Forget it, did you find anything else?" Kayson asked.
"Let's go back to land. There's nothing else worth seeing," Harry said, shaking his head.
"Then let's head back." With that, Kayson turned the steering wheel, and the tracked little vehicle moved off in one direction.
"By the way, with so many of us crammed into such a small space, won't we run out of air?" Lu Ping suddenly raised an important question.
"Ah! I forgot about that." Kayson smacked his forehead, then took out three flowerpots and planted three pixelated saplings in them. "Breathe at them, and they'll give you oxygen back."
After taking the flowerpots, the three of them looked at the saplings that resembled pasted-on textures. They did not know whether they ought to show surprise, but then they remembered the blocky trees in Kayson's office and all sorts of personal alchemical creations filled with a pixel-art style...
Maybe he just liked that aesthetic and cultivated them on purpose.
