evening...
Kayson finally raised his head, straightened his back forcefully, and instantly made a cracking sound.
"You're finally alive," Dumbledore said quietly, sitting opposite him.
Kayson, his eyes somewhat vacant from studying the pocket watch's calculation formulas and thinking for so long, asked.
"About three or four hours," Dumbledore said, waving his wand, and a steaming hot dinner appeared in front of Kayson.
"Thank you. Please stay here a little longer. I have something important to ask you later," Kayson said as he picked up his utensils to eat.
"Hmm... anything I know." Dumbledore nodded.
Quickly, Kayson finished the food in a flash and looked up. "That pocket watch was a gift from your friend? I'm increasingly convinced that what you told me before was an embellishment of your story, although it's definitely all wrong, it's definitely not the whole truth either."
"You know the person who gave me this pocket watch. I only remember one day when I left the Headmaster's Office, I suddenly felt as if I had passed through a membrane of light or water."
When Dumbledore got to this point, Kayson immediately realized. "So you saw him?"
"That's right... that should be... you who came from behind. He didn't tell me much at the time, but he thought that this was what I meant." Dumbledore nodded. "He told me some things, and a pocket watch. It's a pity that the pocket watch was broken at the time, but I must say, with your intelligence, you repaired it quite well."
Kayson then realized that traveling directly through ten years of time was an extremely extreme act for the Time-Flow Pocket Watch, so extreme that the pocket watch was damaged immediately after returning to this timeline from ten years later.
However, saying it's damaged isn't quite accurate; it might be blocked.
The Time-Flow Pocket Watch, having traveled through ten years, suffered some damage. The rules of the world, sensing this damage, acted like sharks smelling blood, using all sorts of methods and mysterious powers to completely destroy and seal the pocket watch.
Because the entire world only noticed the flaw in this pocket watch for a fleeting moment, if the opportunity is not seized, the entire world, from its origin to its annihilation, may be manipulated by the Time-Flow Pocket Watch, which is naturally unacceptable to the entire world.
This is why the Time-Flow Pocket Watch brought by the civil official Kayson contained a mysterious item.
"It seems you've been thinking about this a lot," Dumbledore said quietly.
"Yes, there are many." Kayson glanced down at his pocket watch. He had divided the watch into sections during the day, in addition to his research. The large dial was the time management section, which allowed him to monitor and control time.
The small dial is the time storage area, which can store 15 minutes of time. Unfortunately, the current time storage area still only stores a tiny bit, about three seconds.
However, Kayson also had some ideas about this. If the Time-Flow Pocket Watch is the niche of the mysterious items at this moment, then using some other mysterious items with the concept of time should be able to further improve the Time-Flow Pocket Watch, make it more powerful, and further increase the storage limit of the Time-Flow Pocket Watch's time storage area.
"To be honest, I thought I could use this thing to go back in time and witness exactly what Horcrux Voldemort made." Kayson attached a Mithril chain to the pocket watch and hung it around his neck.
"We can still do this without relying on the power of time. I've found some clues based on Horace's memories, such as... how many Horcrux Tom actually has."
" Tom remembers telling Horace that he thinks seven is a magical number. Of course, that's just his opinion. Every wizard has a number they feel comfortable with, like I prefer 11... well, actually I like them all." Dumbledore started rambling on and on after saying half of what he meant.
"You were just talking about Voldemort and Seven again," Kayson said, forcing himself to speak.
"Oh, yes, yes, so I think if Voldemort were to make Horcrux, he might choose to make six Horcrux, which, together with his own physical soul, would make seven—that's what he meant by seven souls," Dumbledore explained.
"Why can't he make all seven Horcrux himself? What if we miss one?" Kayson said.
"Indeed, there are seven. Don't forget Harry, he was the last Horcrux Tom unconsciously created," Dumbledore reminded him.
"I've never forgotten..." Kayson took off his monocle and pinched the bridge of his nose. "Just thinking about this makes me tired."
"Because of Harry, you're hesitant to act, aren't you?" Dumbledore said, raising an eyebrow.
"You've misused the idiom. I could cut Voldemort into hundreds or thousands of pieces and it wouldn't do any real harm to Harry. So there's no such thing as being afraid to kill him. It's just a matter of having no other choice. You can't exactly kill Harry by doing something drastic before you can kill Voldemort, can you?" Kayson chuckled.
However, Dumbledore clearly remained silent on this matter.
"If you really want to do that, I absolutely won't allow it," Kayson said, pursing his lips.
"I thought that when you gave that Totem of Undying to Harry, you were condoning this practice," Dumbledore said with a hint of exasperation.
"Just to be on the safe side, among all the young wizards at Hogwarts, he's the most likely to be hunted by Voldemort," Kayson quickly explained, as if if he didn't, Dumbledore might actually give Harry an Avada Kedavra to see if he could survive the destruction of Voldemort's soul fragments while still having Harry alive thanks to the Totem of Undying.
Although according to Kayson's calculations and simulations, the possibility of that scenario being true is very high, he hasn't gone so far as to experiment on Harry, especially not on such a dangerous experiment.
"Of course I know your character." Dumbledore said, slowly standing up, clearly intending to leave, since it was already quite late.
"Wait a minute," Kayson stopped Dumbledore.
"What's wrong?" the latter asked, turning his head over.
"Could you get me an apple, a green one?" Kayson looked at the battle-damaged Time-Flow Pocket Watch hanging around his neck, eager to see what it looked like when it was intact.
