"Now we can take stock of how many Horcrux we've found that belong to Tom."
Headmaster's Office, a dark rain was falling outside the window, pattering against the glass with a series of sounds.
Meanwhile, sparks crackled and popped from the fireplace next to the Headmaster's Office.
" Tom's diary, Slytherin's Locket, and your flask, though it belonged to Lady Hufflepuff before that," Dumbledore said quietly.
"Am I not Hufflepuff? Tell me, am I not Hufflepuff?" Kayson retorted, somewhat speechless.
"Of course you're a Hufflepuff, otherwise you would have been sorted into your house." Dumbledore, then continued, "Now we've found the Ravenclaw's Diadem as well."
Kayson reminded him, "And that pathetic ring. Voldemort spent so much effort finding that little thing, only to have it all go to someone else." As he spoke, he pointed to the dark black ring on Dumbledore finger, as if afraid Dumbledore was pretending not to know.
"A person lacking sufficient virtue is not worthy of possessing those precious treasures." Dumbledore never missed an opportunity to criticize Voldemort, even here.
"That's great." Kayson moved his chair closer to the fire. The rain outside the window was too heavy, making the air damp. Only by getting close to the fireplace could he avoid that sticky feeling.
"Now there are only two Horcrux left. Harry Potter is one, and the other should be in Tom's hands, because when we were tracking that soul, the connection between that soul and the Horcrux was severed," Dumbledore continued.
"Why don't we investigate what to do about the soul fragment inside Harry's body?" Kayson said quietly.
"Why not try the milk?" Dumbledore suggested.
" Harry is alive. He's coexisted with Voldemort's soul fragments for so many years. Although they are two people in terms of soul, conceptually they belong to one person. Milk doesn't care anymore." Kayson sighed.
"I thought your milk was some kind of Concept God," Dumbledore grin, as if he had finally seen Kayson get his comeuppance and gotten his revenge.
"So you don't have any other options either?" Kayson countered.
"Anyway, you could use the Killing Curse to kill Harry right now, and let the Totem of Undying he wears decide whether Harry's soul or Tom's soul lives on. Of course, it's also possible that the Totem of Undying shatters, and both Harry and Tom's souls are unharmed. That's the most helpless situation."
Dumbledore sighed. The ingenuity of the Totem of Undying was to die in place of another, not to transfer the body, so the possibility he described was the most likely.
"Then shouldn't you have some ideas too?" Kayson asked.
"Me? Of course I do. The limitation of the Totem of Undying is that it is a substitute death spell, not a spell to transfer death. But if we can make Tom's Killing Curse targeted, so that his Killing Curse only kills his own soul fragments, instead of Harry's, then this problem will be solved."
"And what's even more important is that Harry has the Totem of Undying to protect him. No matter what, he won't be in any real danger. But as for the flesh wounds, that's a bit of a problem... Anyway, Harry suffers a lot of flesh wounds every year, so it doesn't matter if he gets a little more. What do you think?" Dumbledore raised an eyebrow confidently.
"What's your solution?" Kayson asked.
Dumbledore smiled but said nothing, and simply took out his Elder Wand.
"Now I need you to go and find Harry for me."
" Harry!" Kayson suddenly appeared in the Gryffindor Common Room, and when he saw Harry sitting by the fireplace reading a chivalric novel, he went straight over.
He grabbed Harry and pulled him outside, saying, " Harry, hurry! Grandpa's going on a great adventure with you. Where are your shoes? Never mind, you can make do with these leather boots for now. We need to get to Dumbledore's office first; he has some really brilliant ideas!"
"Professor, shouldn't you tell me what it is?" Ginny jogged over and asked.
"This is a very complicated matter. It could take anywhere from a few seconds to ten days or half a month," Kayson casually rambled on.
"Oh... Professor, actually I'm a little curious too." Harry looked up and asked.
"You should ask Dumbledore about this; I don't know the specifics either." Kayson paused for a moment, then quickly continued on his way. He spoke casually.
"Honestly, Professor, you're making me a little scared," Harry said quietly.
"Hey, you're not a little boy anymore. Dumbledore won't do anything to you, don't worry!" Kayson reassured him, which inadvertently damaged Dumbledore's reputation once again.
"So... the report in the Daily Prophet six years ago was true? Dumbledore likes little boys?" Ron, who had witnessed everything from the sofa by the fireplace, murmured somewhat awkwardly.
"What do you mean?" Hermione asked.
"No, it's nothing. It's not good for kids to know too much." Ron shook his head and continued playing chess with Hermione.
"Professor? What did you mean when you said Dumbledore liked little boys?" Harry asked, somewhat embarrassed.
"I'm asking you, when you first came to Hogwarts for your first and second years, was Dumbledore a kind and approachable old man next door, or is he now a cunning old man who has countless secrets hidden in his belly?" Just as Dumbledore never missed an opportunity to Voldemort Dumbledore, Kayson was not going to miss any opportunity to Dumbledore.
He simply added fuel to the fire, making the time for Dumbledore's reputation to be ruined even faster.
That way, I might even become the headmaster of Hogwarts in the future...
Of course, this needs to be done step by step. Let's set a small goal first. After Professor Sprout retires, I'll become the Head of House of Hufflepuff!
