Before he could dwell on the Centaur's terrified expression before death, Henry kept swinging his crescent blade and charged at the Minotaurs behind it!
Bain stared wide-eyed from behind, his face full of disbelief. He knew his lord was fierce, but he had never imagined he was this fierce!
The Heavy Cavalry behind Henry charged forward, their Warhorses surging ahead with astonishing speed and power.
They leveled their Lances and charged at the Centaurs. Every Heavy Cavalryman wore hardened Leather Armor over Chainmail and padded cloth armor, Lance in hand, sweeping in like a mudslide.
The Centaurs stared at the Heavy Cavalry before them in terror. They had never expected to encounter humanity's elite cavalry in their own home!
These were not the Herding Serfs, Serfs, and Trade Caravans they usually raided!
Were humans invading again?
The Centaurs did not retreat. Instead, they let out shrill neighs, brandished their spears, and met the Heavy Cavalry's charge.
Unfortunately, against Imperial Heavy Cavalry who were properly equipped and experienced, these Centaurs were hopelessly outmatched.
Centaur spears pierced Heavy Cavalrymen, sending them flying through the air. Heavy Cavalry Lances pierced Centaur chests, dropping them into pools of blood.
With every swing of a weapon, someone fell. After one clash, the few surviving Centaurs attempted to fight back.
But the Heavy Cavalry's armor and shields rendered their attacks useless, and the Heavy Cavalry mercilessly slaughtered the Centaurs.
These Centaurs were not true Half-Orc elites. They did not even have decent armor, or the Heavy Cavalry would not have had such an easy time of it.
Seeing this, the Minotaur immediately raised the Great Axe in his hands, trying to block Henry's charge.
Henry spurred his horse forward. His crescent blade carved an arc through the air and viciously chopped toward the Minotaur's huge head.
The Minotaur raised his Great Axe to block, and the crescent blade struck it. The immense force made the Minotaur's hooves ache from the impact.
How could this human be so strong? This was completely backward!
Henry swung his crescent blade again and chopped at the Minotaur. The Minotaur hurriedly raised his Great Axe to parry, but Henry's strength was even greater this time, knocking the Great Axe straight out of his hands.
The Minotaur glanced at his flying Great Axe and turned to flee, but how could Henry possibly give him that chance?
Henry urged his horse to accelerate, caught up with the Minotaur, and brought his blade down. A massive head flew into the air, and hot, reeking blood sprayed all over Henry.
When the other two Minotaurs saw their companion killed, they immediately rushed forward and rammed Henry's Warhorse over.
Henry rolled across the ground several times before barely stopping himself. His body continued sliding forward from inertia, scraping out a piercing sound and leaving a deep trail in the earth.
Despite the tremendous impact, Henry forcibly steadied himself with his powerful physique.
He quickly drew the Greatsword from his back and gripped it tightly. Without the slightest hesitation, Henry charged at the Minotaur before him.
The Greatsword carved an arc through the air, slashing toward the Minotaur with fierce momentum.
Swish!
The Greatsword had originally been aimed at the Minotaur's neck, but because of the difference in height, it struck the Minotaur's chest instead.
"Moo!"
Henry had swung too hard, and the Minotaur's flesh was too thick. The Greatsword got stuck and would not come out.
Henry immediately abandoned the Greatsword, pulled the One-Handed Double-Bladed Battle Axe from his waist, and viciously attacked the Minotaur's lower body.
"Moo! Moo! Moo!" A thick, long object fell from the Minotaur's body.
The Heavy Cavalry quickly arrived to press their advantage. Bain roared as he led the charge with his Lance, directly taking the life of the other Minotaur.
"Victory!"
At the same time, earth-shaking cheers came from Glen's side, though it did not sound like there were many people.
Henry wiped the foul-smelling Minotaur blood from his face and walked toward the castrated Minotaur kneeling on the ground and groaning.
"Your head is mine."
The battle was finally over. Henry looked at the corpses littering the ground and could not help feeling deeply moved.
Henry forcefully cut off the Minotaur's head, hung it from the Warhorse that had gotten back on its feet, retrieved his Greatsword, picked up his long-handled crescent blade, and prepared to lead the remaining Heavy Cavalry deeper into the valley.
The other Heavy Cavalrymen quickly dismounted to cut off heads and gather the Warhorses of the fallen Heavy Cavalry.
"Soldiers! Kill your way into their tribal camp!"
"Kill!!!" The Heavy Cavalry roared excitedly and charged after Henry.
Henry led the Heavy Cavalry into the valley. Their target was the Half-Orcs' tribal camp.
When they reached the camp, the sight before them filled them with anger—it was completely deserted.
Clearly, the elderly Half-Orcs, the very young Half-Orcs, and the female Half-Orcs had already fled.
Damn it!
An inexplicable rage flared in Henry's heart. He angrily struck the crescent blade in his hand, producing a crisp clang.
He had originally hoped to wipe out this Half-Orc tribe completely and gain some levels. But now, Henry had only killed one Centaur and two Minotaurs, earning a mere one hundred and eighty-odd experience points.
If I'd known, I would've been better off following the Serfs into the Kobold pack and going on a rampage!
The feeling of deliberately throwing a punch into cotton was unbearable, like working hard for an hour and thinking he had performed well, only to be too exhausted to finish afterward.
Irritating!
Soon, Glen arrived with the main force. He was completely clean, without a trace of blood on him.
"Henry, are you... all right?"
Henry let out a breath and said, "I'm fine. Have the Scouts search the area and see if they can find any trace of the Half-Orcs."
"Alright, I already sent people out."
Glen did not mind Henry giving him orders. Henry's current appearance was simply too frightening.
His armor, horse armor, weapons, and face were all covered in blood. It was terrifying. Was academy training this wild now?
Glen found it hard to believe that only six or seven years after his graduation, the Knights produced by the academy had such brutally violent fighting styles.
Boman and Fas rode over together, with a string of Kobold heads hanging from their Warhorses.
"Henry, you... you're injured?"
"No. It's all Minotaur blood. Alright, let's see what they left in their camp."
Henry's Soldiers immediately rushed in to search the Half-Orc camp, while the other Soldiers and Serfs quickly followed.
Before long, everything the Half-Orcs had left behind in the camp was carried out.
Several dozen jin of dried meat, several dozen bundles of grass, some iron ingots, a great many human armors and weapons, as well as noble heraldic banners.
Fas stepped forward, picked up several noble banners, and said regretfully, "I recognize these coats of arms. Their owners are already dead."
Soon, another Soldier came over carrying a Serf's head.
"Commander, we found several overturned chests. They were full of Denars! The Half-Orcs must have knocked them over while fleeing, but this Serf actually tried to hide some."
The other Serfs saw this and instinctively backed away, keeping their distance.
