Background / History

The Demon Race once ruled the planet and seeks to rule it again. A Demonic Bloodthirsty Wolf reveals this ambition to Lin Mu during the Tower of Trials. 69

Hundreds of years before the main story, humanity dealt the Demons a severe blow in a major war, but did not truly defeat them. Many seemingly slain Demons survived and entered a period of recovery; the conflict is therefore considered ongoing rather than concluded. 98

The Demon King maintains an extensive human network, offering power and talent in exchange for service. Qin Bingfeng becomes one such servant and later reveals that the Demon King has informants embedded within the academy. 342 343

Appearance

Demons have no single body plan. They appear as beasts, humanoids, soul bodies, remnant souls, and creatures capable of assuming or borrowing other forms.

Demon Cloud Tower and the Netherworld

Demons seek Lin Mu's death after recognizing his control over Netherworld Power and his status as the Nether Emperor Successor. They remain hostile because a new Nether Emperor could threaten the Demon Race's survival. 297 308 331

Demon King Conflict
