Seeing Soi Fon step forward with Suzumebachi on her hand, Yoru Machi understood her good intentions, but still reached out to stop her.

Seeing herself being stopped, Soi Fon frowned slightly. She thought Yoru Machi had been swayed by Aaroniero's words and was showing mercy.

Aaroniero, meanwhile, was overjoyed. He had only been trying his luck to see whether he could survive this way, yet this Soul Reaper was actually so naïve.

When he looked up, he saw that the "naïve" Soul Reaper was smiling at him.

Shiba Miyako's Spirit Body had long since become part of Aaroniero. In a sense, Kaien had been cuckolded by someone else.

Yagami Yato now had a new Spirit Body, so her original one was no longer that important.

However, the portion of her soul that Aaroniero had devoured still had to be retrieved.

It was much like Rangiku's situation. Because Shiba Miyako had lost part of her soul, it did not affect her normal actions, and she could still perform Shikai. But with incomplete souls like theirs, Bankai would forever be impossible.

If Soi Fon had struck, Suzumebachi's ability, Nikkō Hōkō, would likely have shattered Aaroniero along with the part of Shiba Miyako's soul inside him. Then all his efforts would truly have been for nothing.
